Fun Trampoline Tricks

Even though we've had NASTY weather here for weeks on end, it hasn't prevented the kids from jumping on their new trampoline. Here are some fun pictures I snapped...Blake has been practicing a back flip, heaven help us, and just about has it.
Can you believe how high Ashlyn can get? This is one of her "cheerleading moves" as she calls them...I'm already trying to brainwash her that cheerleading is stupid, maybe it's not going as well as I thought. However, she had a friend over for a playdate the other day and they were playing dress up in her room...

Friend - Hey look at me, don't I look like a pretty cheerleader?
Ashlyn - You sure do! But my Mom says that being a cheerleader is dumb.

So maybe it is working...

Missing Pictures

Here are the pictures to go along with my last post....

Here is the "before" picture of the ugly office chairs that Rick acquired with the stuff he bought for his new office...And here is the "after" picture when I finished going all Martha Stewart on them... Here's the waiting room at Rick's new office. We haven't finished decorating everything yet, more to come when we've finished. Here's what I made to break in my new Kitchen Aid...homemade bread. YUMMY! This my friend, is the one and only time that I have successfully been able to make bread without a bread machine...watch out bread machine, you might be taking a back burner to this puppy.

Blog Withdrawls

My computer has been gone for 4 days and I'm already having withdrawls from blogging. Rick had to take my desktop computer to his new office while he waits for new computers to get here...so that means I have no way to download my pictures.

Here's what we've been up to the last couple of days...

* As of today Rick's new office is FINALLY open! As many of you know this past 2 weeks has been VERY stressful getting everything finalized and dealing with unreliable people. However, we're happy to report he saw 5 patients this afternoon at the new location, in addition to the patients he saw at the old office in the morning. Even better - Thursday, Friday and Monday are completely booked already in the new location! Maybe Blackshear, Georgia isn't so bad after all. I'd love to share pictures, but I have yet to see it all set up (even though I was out there yesterday) since they were down to the wire to finish things.

*Yesterday the UPS guy brought the previously mentioned contest winnings to our doorstep...yep, my mixer is sitting on my kitchen counter! When I asked Rick what he had to say for himself for doubting the legitimacy of the contest and bursting my bubble when I won - his reply, "Great...now what are you gonna make me?"

*We are FREEZING our fannies off here in southern Georgia! If you haven't seen the news, we've been experiencing the coldest weather we've had in over 100 years here. I can't remember the last time I wore my flip flops, let alone shorts. We even broke down and bought the kids winter coats this week. After 6 different stores we finally found 1 in Blake's size and 2 different ones for Ashlyn to choose from. The best part was they were all on clearance. Both coats, including the taxes - I spent a total of $35 at the Mall.

* I surprised myself with my craftiness...I attempted to reupholster chairs. Again, no picture to show you yet, but they look great in Rick's office if I do say so myself. I'm not sure why people find this activity a hobby, because after doing 13 of them the fun has definitely worn off. I'm glad to be done with them.

In Brunswick?

Rick was just at our favorite soda store, where all the employees know us by name. As he was paying for his drink one of the girls said the coolest thing just happened, so of course Rick had to ask what. She said previously in the day a guy came in and paid for gas and a Pepsi who looked a lot like Stephen King. Jokingly she asked him if anybody ever tells him that he looks like him...he paused and said "Actually, yes all the time, because I am Stephen King!" Laughing, she called him a liar...he pulled out his driver's license...sure enough it was Stephen King!
