3/1--While I was laid up with a headache and neck pain, Jared went and checked Makenna out of school because she called and said she had a headache and was nauseous. After drinking some Sprite and putting a cold pack on her head, she seemed to be fine. Avery just got home and they are playing Life now. 😊
3/2--
I'm watching the LSU baseball game, which is being played in Baton Rouge, where it's 61 degrees, and people look like they're freezing. 🤣
3/3--😫
Mikan's baby shower was this afternoon. It was the first baby shower the twins have attended. They got to play with some of their cousins.
3/5--When one of your kids (Avery) LOVES to whistle. All. The. Time. Oh, and your kids are off of school for the day. 😆
3/9--Dana Tassin Crittenden is with Jared Crittenden.

Makenna's magic trick from a book that I got for Christmas when I was about her age. 😃
3/9--This is Sky, aptly named by the twins. Jared and the girls went and got him on Saturday (3/3).
3/16--I had a great lunch with Jennifer Walker last Saturday (3/10), then we went to pet and snuggle puppies at Puppy Barn. I started getting sick that evening and have been sick since (really bad cold, including fever). I am so sick of coughing!! But I just went through these pics and the puppies made me smile.
Friday night crafts = leprechaun trap and these pillows (with the LSU baseball game on). 😊
My silly girls reading in the coat closet. Sitting on a mound of blankets and squished in there with pillows. I could barely shut the door so they could use flashlights to read. :D
3/17--Once again, we didn't catch our leprechaun. ☹️ ;) He turned our milk and the girls' toilet green (they were amazed that, this year, it stayed green, even after flushing several times--Jared put coloring in the tank, too, ha ha!), he shamrocked their bathroom mirror, and he thought it would be funny to hang a green table cloth covering their bedroom doorway. Makenna woke up at 4:30 to get in bed with me and FREAKED out, so that backfired, ha ha ha! The leprechaun also left a note and a bag of Skittles for each of the girls. Jared made green crepes for breakfast, which we had with the green milk. The girls and I went shopping this morning and they made sure we were each wearing green. :D
Here's the video of them seeing if the leprechaun was in the trap or not:
We went and got their Easter portraits done that night, after they attended their friend, Jason's, birthday party:
The photographer let them hold one of the other bunnies after their photoshoot:
3/18--We had Jennifer Miller and her fiance over for dinner (to meet him for the first time) and played Headbanz with them.
3/21--Books and Buddies this morning. 😀
3/23--I finally took this cute girl to a podiatrist on Tuesday (3/20) about her toe walking, which was causing foot and leg pain and knots in her calves. She has had issues for years and we were always massaging her feet and legs. She would even wake at night due to pain. She had actually asked me to make an appointment for her (you know it's bad if your kid actually asks to go to the doctor).
I had told her pediatrician about her toe walking several times over the past few years and he said she would grow out of it (I'm not blaming him, most kids do grow out of toe walking and I kept hoping she would, too). The podiatrist, however, watched her walk, tested her flexibility and muscle tone, and said it looks like she was just walking on the balls of her feet to compensate for pain or awkwardness associated with how flat her arches are. He gave her orthopedic shoe inserts, which will hopefully do the job. I'm thankful that the (hopeful) fix is so easy! And she even says she can barely tell the inserts are there! 😊
This girl insisted on wearing bunny ears to school today.. 😀
Aaaw. First pic taken a couple of nights ago, second one taken just now. 💕💕💕
3/24--
3/24--I took the girls to the Ward Easter Egg Hunt in the morning (it was quite breezy and chilly--poor Avery was so cold because she didn't bring her jacket but still had fun).
Muffins and milk after the egg hunt:
That afternoon, the four of us drove to Heber to ride the Easter Bunny Train, where we also saw baby animals (calves, goats, piglets, bunnies, chicks) and a magic show, which the girls loved. Avery was wide-eyed and open-mouthed for most of the magic show, ha ha!
Getting Easter eggs from the Easter Bunny:
We also went to visit Jared's grandpa in Francis to sing him Happy Birthday, since it was his 91st birthday that day, then we ate at Dairy Keen in Heber before heading home.
We ate at Dairy Keen on the way home after riding the Easter Bunny Train, then visiting Grandpa. They REALLY wanted to eat outside on this train but it was too chilly out, so we let them go and sit on it after we ate.
3/29--Their teacher gave them little rubber duckies to commemorate watching a duckling hatch in class that day. There were still 3 that needed to hatch but hadn't hatched before Spring Break (they'd been in an incubator in the classroom for 2-3 weeks). They also came home with those super cute paper mache Easter eggs that they made, filled with candy. Their teacher is pretty awesome. 😊
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 SO TRUE!!!!!
3/30--We checked the twins out of school at around 1:00 and drove up to ID for Andrew's baptism, then we drove home afterward, which put us home after midnight.
I had brought PJ's for the twins to change into for the ride home but I grabbed a set that was too small for Avery, so we gave them to Emma and she was in heaven. 😊
3/31--We had Easter dinner (turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, salad, veggies & dip, rolls/bread, and fruit topped cheesecake) with Kiki and her family the day before Easter because Kiki had to work on Easter Sunday. Judson and Carma ("too old to hunt eggs") hid the eggs for the 3 younger kids. After dinner, we played Headbanz. Mila came over for the first time; she was very interested in my cats but they weren't so fond of her, ha ha!
