Hope you had a good Fourth of July. Here’s a little video I made about drawing eyes. Have a great week.
Drawing an old mailbox
In today’s video, I draw an old mailbox in a rural setting. I also talk about a lady who appeared to be spewing rage at me while I ate chicken in the food court at the mall the other day. Thanks for watching. You can check out my books at currylibrary.com.
Drawing Edgar Allan Poe
Here is a quick video. My friend JR recently mentioned Edgar Allan Poe on her blog. I decided to draw a caricature of him.
Space man sketch
Today I take a break from working on my new book to draw a quick picture of a Captain Kirk doll that doesn’t really look much like Captain Kirk. I plan to continue making videos as I work on the new book. (Note: my new project does not involve Captain Kirk. They are totally unrelated.)
Drawing Julie
In this video, I draw Julie, a character from my graphic novel, The Interstellar Ghost Ship at the End of the Road. I also show a few pages from the book, but not the entire thing. You can order it through currylibrary.com or directly from Amazon.
Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great week ahead.
Lamp drawing
Drawing a picture of a lamp and taking my cat to the vet to be neutered.
John Coltrane sketch
Robot sketch
In today’s video, I draw a picture of a large robot picking apart a tree. While I’m drawing, I chat about Mark Kistler, an artist I watched on TV when I was growing up. Cheers.
Be patient with yourself
I started trying to draw people when I was about ten years old. The first portraits I did were weak and embarrassing. Since then, I’ve gotten better and more comfortable with it.
Most people are capable of far more than they give themselves credit for. If you focus and commit and put in the time on a regular basis, you can eventually do things you didn’t think you could do.
In this video, I draw a pencil portrait of a British actor named Bernard Lloyd. He starred in a TV movie called The Signalman with Denholm Elliott in 1976. I watched it last Christmas.
(Note: this video is for educational purposes only. I’m not selling pictures of this actor.)
Ink drawing of Rothenburg, Germany
In this video, I draw a picture of a town in Germany I visited in 1998. I tell a story about walking into a very old church and seeing a skeleton in a glass display case.
