Every Tuesday night my dear brother Jared, aka "The Ice Cream Man", comes to our home bearing gifts....namely Handel's Ice Cream. The quarts are only $5.00 on Tuesday, instead of the regular $7.00. It started several months ago, very innocently, with Jared bringing me one quart of my FAVORITE flavor, Cake Batter, just to try. Boy, that was it! I was hooked! Then almost every Tuesday, he has come with new flavors to try. My kids now talk the night before about the flavor that the "Ice Cream Uncle" is going to bring. Their favorite is Cotton Candy. Donnie and I speculate Tuesday evening to each other....if we are going to see Jared. Usually he comes and is soooo sweet to shower us with his yummy gifts! We do love the ice cream......BUT we have come to love Tuesday nights for another reason. We love to visit with Uncle Jared and share this special time just with him. I keep telling him that HE can just come himself....and NOT BRING ANYTHING.....EXCEPT HIMSELF.....but he hasn't done that yet. Jared is a wonderful brother and uncle and friend. He has such a generous heart and we are so blessed to call him family. We are grateful for his friendship and generosity....and we truly do Love Tuesday "Uncle Jared" nights!
