Stewart Falls

Our little family really can't ask for more than a beautiful sunny day-
Add in some great friends, a little exercise, and a cool refreshing waterfall and you have yourself a party.
So we partied it up on Saturday by hiking to Stewart Falls.

When we first got to the falls, Nick threw a big rock in the water (boys will be boys).
For the remainder of the time there, Paisley insisted on sitting by the water and throwing rocks in.

Paisley did really well and enjoyed the trip.
Perhaps she partied it up a bit too much - or threw too many rocks,
because she just snoozed away on the way back.

Splishity Splash Splash

Sometimes I think my child is half fish.
She loves the water!
In fact, she loves it so much that she couldn't even wait for her pool to warm up before playing in it...

She couldn't even wait to put on her swimsuit! She hopped in that cold water fully dressed: shoes, socks and all!

I think deep down it was just part of her plan to be able to enjoy her two favorite things:

Naked time and being outside.
Sneaky girl.

Where does her passion for water come from you ask?

From her "Dada" of course!!

Farm Country

This last weekend we hit up good 'ol Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point
in celebration of my mom's birthday.
Paisley loved waving at, and saying "ello" to all the different animals.

And I have to admit, I was quite smitten by the baby goats.

Paisley's new love is feeding the "duckies"
This girl is getting quite the vocabulary - especially when it comes to animals.

(And wow, these pictures made me realize that my baby bump is really starting to take shape. Baby boy is getting huge!)
It was so great to spend the day with my parents and to see Paisley ooh and ahh over the baby animals....or was that just me?

Practicing

Now that I am entering the third and final trimester of this pregnancy,
I think I have officially entered "Panic Mode!"
I feel like I haven't done anything to prepare for our little boy's grand debut which is only a mere 12 weeks away.

I don't think Paisley is quite ready either-
But she sure has been practicing her baby skills.
She loves her assortment of babies and she takes good care of each of them: wrapping them in burp cloths, giving them drinks, and even sharing her food with them  (don't worry, I wipe them each off everyday).

Ok, so she might need a little more practice....
And in her case we are hoping sure that practice will make perfect.

We are even counting on her mastering some diaper skills so she can change baby brother's poopy diapers! (Score for older siblings!)

I have a hard time imagining that I can love baby boy as much as I love Paisley...but I know I will. I already do.
I am really trying to savor each and every moment I have with Paisley while it's just the three of us.
Today Nick went indoor surfing at Provo Beach Resort:

While Nick shredded it up, Paisley and I played arcade games, went for a carousel ride, and took pictures in the photo booth.
It was so much fun spending some quality one on one time with our little girl.
Moments like this won't last much longer, but at the same time, we are awfully excited to throw our little guy in the mix!
In the meantime, we will let Paisley keep practicing her baby skills :)

Passport Photo

We have quite an extensive 'To Do List' when it comes to getting ready for Spain.
We are leaving the end of August, so that gives us just enough time to have the baby then skedaddle.
This week we were able to check a couple of items off our list.
One of which was getting Paisley a passport photo.

It took quite a while for her to finally let go of me long enough to sit by herself and get her picture taken, and even then she wasn't even going to pretend to be happy.
But she sure is cute.

And we can check one more item off our list!
Hoorah!

Californ-I-A!!!

This year the annual Bahr Family Reunion is scheduled for California.  In June.
Unfortunately, I will be great with child come June - so our little family won't be attending said reunion.
Fortunately, Nick's parents were kind enough to offer to take us before June so we could experience a little Disney magic as well as some much needed beach bum time.
We are spoiled.

Our little trip to California this last weekend was loads of fun.
It's always nice to have a little adventure in your own life, but to see new things through the eyes of the child is icing on the cake!!

Day 1 Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth!

Paisley was in complete awe at Disneyland.
She had a constant look of wonder/apprehension/excitedness.

Day 2 - Huntington Beach: Surfer Dude and Beach Baby Style

I was actually quite surprised at how much Paisley loved the beach.
I mean, I knew she would like it - considering who's kid she is...
But she absolutely loved just playing in the sand, watching the waves roll in and dreaming about someday being a surfer girl.

Her daddy got to catch a few waves...some much needed soul therapy.
And I, myself, got to bask in the sun.
Our little family couldn't be happier.

Before leaving the beach, Nick and Adam decided to do a little body surfing.
The water in California in April is muy frio (that's right, a little espanol for ya!)
The look on Adam's face pretty much sums it up:

A dip in that muy frio water warrants a much needed cup of hot cocoa:

Day 3: Disneyland Downpour

Our last day in Disneyland was a bit rainy.
We were able to get a few rides and enjoyment in before we had to evacuate.
What started out as a light shower eventually turned into a complete downpour.
Paisley's favorite ride by far was It's a Small World.
I will never forget her happy little face as she jumped up and down to the music.
She was quite distraught when we had to evacuate the ride due to the torrentual rain.

Now we are back home trying to recover from all the fun we had.
With Disney songs still floating around in our heads, and sand at the bottom of our bags-
I think its safe to say that California 2012 was a great success.

Easter Lovin'

This year we enjoyed Easter to the max.
Perhaps it's because we had 3 whole days to spread it out over.
Or perhaps it's because Paisley is just starting to figure things out, and it's oh so fun to watch her.

  • We enjoyed two Egg hunts

One was the Orem Community Egg Hunt.
Paisley had some tough competition, but she managed to come away with a few goodies and a new "baby" which she's been obsessed with ever since.
The second hunt was at our church.

  • Dyeing Easter Eggs

  •   Spending time with Family

Sunday we had an Easter dinner and had my parents, Ashley and Nick's dad over (his mom was out of town).
It was such a beautiful day, and Paisley enjoyed getting in her Easter get up and getting a few pics taken:
