Cuzzies

One thing's for sure -
Paisley is sure going to miss some quality Cuzzie time when we go abroad.
These three girls (born with 9 months of each other) got together for a little playdate today.
It's been so fun seeing them grow up together.

Also, Paisley has become quite the jibber-jabber over the last month.
She's really extending her vocabulary.
For instance - now whenever she's around the toilet or here it flushes she says,
"Bye Bye Poo Poo"and waves.
I'm thinking she must have got that one from her dad.
Some days I wonder if baby brother even stands a chance.

Oh happy Day!

Monday's usually aren't my favorite.
Mondays mean I have to wait a whole week before getting some quality time with the hubby.
And, Monday's are *usually* laundry day.

But today, Paisley decided to brighten my Monday.
She brought me her bows and actually wanted me to put them in her hair.

And she even left them in for a whole 5 minutes.
Not gonna lie, it made my Monday a little bit better.

A Big Day

Today has been a pretty big day for our growing little family.
Life changing, in fact.

First off, I have some catching up to do.
Paisley has been battling a nasty little virus that left chicken pox-like spots all over her little body.
When that virus went away she was struck with a cough and runny nose.
Not fun for any of us.

Her week of being sick was pretty rough....especially on this pregnant mama.
So yesterday Nick and I decided a spontaneous getaway was in order.

Nick took a personal day and we drove to Heber and got a hotel room.
We all went swimming for a bit, then we took Paisley to have a sleepover at her Grandmas so Nick and I could enjoy some R&R.

That bring us to this morning.
We woke up to find that Nick got an email accepting him to the PhD program at ESADE University.
ESADE University is in Barcelona Spain!

I am very proud of my hubby for all his hard work and drive to get accepted at such a wonderful University.

Nick made sure that it wasn't easy after having the first baby - by immediately moving us from the hospital to Orem.
I guess he decided he needed to one up himself with the next baby and move us to a different country.
I'll admit, I am pretty nervous about alot of things. I am in no way expecting this transition to be an easy one.
But after much prayer and consideration, we really feel like this is a wonderful experience for our little family and an adventure not to be taken for granted.

We still have a few logistics to be worked out before the final decision.......
But until then I will be learning me some Espanol!

Dear Paisley,

Dear Paisley,
I hope you always see the world as Your Playground.
I hope you will find pure Happiness from the Simple things in life.
I hope that you see each new Obstacle as an opportunity to learn something New.
I hope you always stop to enjoy the "sweet" little things this world has to offer,
And most of all, I always hope you let  me Hold your hand.
Love,
Your Mom

They're Back

Yesterday was a gorgeous Spring day.
We spent a good part of it outside basking in the sunshine.
Apparently, we weren't the only ones...

Remember last year we had a few friends living under our sidewalk?
Well they came out yesterday to enjoy the nice weather.

I saw Nick outside with gloves and an ice cream bucket and asked him what he was up to.
I knew it was no good when all he did was whistle in reply.
Sure enough - our slithery little friends are back.
Nick was able to catch one.
My merciful heart set in, and we decided instead of killing it to relocate it.

So we drove across the freeway and released it in a field.
Aren't we nice??

Bye Bye Simon!

I saw 3 additional serpents yesterday after Nick went to work!!!
Last year I was able to tolerate the little guys slithering around.
But this year, with Paisley being outside so much I just don't think our relationship will work.

Any ideas on how to get rid of these guys?!?
