3 Years

Yesterday Nick and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary.

I fall more in love with this guy everyday. He truly is the best thing that ever happened to me!

Next year we will have to find a babysitter for our anniversary.....yikes!

In other news:

Nick graduated!
There are no commencement exercises at Utah State in December, so I have no picture to prove it, but I am so proud of him!
And to ice the cake....He got a job!
He will be working for Enterprise in Sandy, which means we are moving down south.
I am actually really sad to leave good ol Logan town, but excited that I get to stay at home with our wee one. We are moving to Orem for a few months, so all you peeps down there better give me a shout out.

Only 2 1/2 more weeks of the pregnancy.
I am in awe how fast the last 38 have gone.
Can't wait to meet our little girl soon. We had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago and she looks great!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I feel very blessed this time of year to have such a wonderful, supportive family. I am thankful for my Savior and the Gospel in my life everyday. I hate to think where I would be without it.
2010 was a great year, but 2011 is going to bring us some wonderful new adventures!

We're Having a....

GIRL!

When we found out a few weeks ago, I was in shock. Somehow I had convinced myself it was a boy. (Must have been all the salt cravings and lack of chocolate cravings) But I couldn't be happier...it has already been so much fun shopping for a little girl. Nick is pretty excited as well. She already has him wrapped around her finger :)

The next four months can't come fast enough!

Back to School

I have exactly 10 days until I go back to work for the school district. Yes, I am counting.

I remember when I actually used to be excited to go back to school...it meant getting a new wardrobe and a new back pack full of shiny crayons and pencils.

Now it just means no more sleeping in until 9 anymore. And let it be known that usually I am not one to sleep in. It makes me feel lazy. However, I have told myself lately that this may be the last few days I get to get this much sleep. Once school starts I will be getting up at 6 am, and that will last until I have a baby where sleep will become a distant memory. So I deserve to sleep till 9 now and not feel bad about it. Or so I tell myself.

We have had a fabulous summer. And unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show for it. But I really hate to blog without posting some sort of picture so I am giving in.....and posting a belly picture. I just have to say that I love looking at others and see how their bellies progress over nine months, but I really hesitate posting pictures of my belly. Especially right now since I don't look pregnant...just FAT. Anyway, here it goes.

Our lil package is due to arrive January 17th, 2011.

Less than 3 weeks and we find out what we are having (I will be 20 weeks at that point, yahoo!)

Summer Happenings...

To all my faithful blog followers I apologize for the 4 month delay in this post.
Alot has happened since we have been back from Europe. Unfortunately, one lil post just won't do all we have to say justice, so you will just have to stay tuned for our next post to see what we have really been up to this summer.....did I get ya hooked? :)

Anyway, we have had a a great summer so far. A Picture is worth a thousand words.....

It's Been A While,

We're BACK!!!

well, from PARIS at least!
We took a nice, 4 day weekend and headed to the land of romance, lights, and dirty metro systems.
It was alot of fun to see where Nick spent a full year of his mission. Paris is a very eventful and dynamic city, we enjoyed every minute of it (well, except for when the homeless guy started yelling at me on the Metro...but that's another story).

Belgium Buddies!

I have neglected to blog about a very important part of our lives here in Belgium. This would be our Internship and the wonderful friends we have met here.
We work for a company that basically runs off interns, which means we are currently working with 10 other interns from all over the world - including Slovenia, Romania, Ireland, Sweden, and France.
This has been one of my favorite things about living abroad.

Imagine this - 12 interns from all over the world - 1 hour of lunch - 1 room for eating - 12 minds curious and open to new ways of life. This is a formula for some pretty interesting, and some times even intense lunch conversations.
Let's just say Nick will no longer offer his chair to a woman if he knows she is from Sweden.

The Day we Met the Penguins...

...This post title will make more sense at the end.
(That will give you some incentive to get through it all.)

Everybody who is any body has been telling us that we have to go to Brugge.
So we finally took them up on it.
And we were not disappointed.

Also known as "Venice of the North," Brugge was a wonderland of canals and unique architecture. Much cleaner than it's Brussels counterparts, Brugge became a haven for us "city" folk.Colored Doors!

And yes, we actually paid 8 euros to do so.

We rented bikes again. I think it's cooler that way.

The Penguins!

So, we actually went to Brugge on a cool day. There was a carnival going on, so
we saw all sorts of floats and people all dressed up making fools of themselves.
Our favorite were the penguins. They were kind enough to let us take a pic with them.
Their Float was "Madagascar"
I loved it!

Just as a side note: We had Subway for lunch and Pizza Hut for dinner. Can you tell we kind of miss American food?
