A Moment to Teach!

Oh how important it is to take the time to teach our children. Today was another snow day, meaning that everyone was home. We went out and shoveled our drive and Emerson wanted to do more. So, we started working our way around to the neighbors and our good friends the Williams. He told me, "Mom, I feel so good inside and it made everyone happy!" Yes, service does make others and us happy! How blessed we are to have the example of our Savior, who went about doing good continuously!

I am so grateful for those little moments with my children and pray that I can slow down more often to take advantage of those moments!

Moms Just Want to Have Fun...and get a break from the kids=)

Indianapolis will never be the same! What a blast I had with three of my closest/dearest girlfriends on our Girls Trip! We left on Monday morning after Christmas and shopped and ate and swam and talked and talked some more...and tried to stay up late;) We laughed so hard our faces hurt, discovered hidden talents, ruffled some feathers at Hard Rock Cafe, made a new friend (Bojan), and came away with plenty of inside jokes and memories to last us a life time and beyond. Hopefully, our hubbies will let us go again later this year!

Before we left the Marriott...or did they kick us out;)

Robyn...don't hate me for putting this one up. I had to show everyone the new fashion trend we set!! Plus, Janaes drink to last her the trip! Good times!!!!

Thanks for being my friends and sisters! I love you!

Christmas Day

After having a wonderful breakfast and opening presents, we got ready and headed to Grandpa and Grandma Nehrings for the afternoon/evening. It was fun to visit with everyone there! We put on the nativity there and made gingerbread houses with all the kids. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma for a wonderful Christmas and delicious meal (Amber too)!

Part of the Nehring grandkids...we were just missing Brady, Max and Hannah. (Hannah was the angel when we put on the nativity again on New Year's Eve!)

Mary playing Mary=)

Hailey still wanted to be the donkey!

Making/Eating gingerbread houses!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Papa and Nana came and stayed all night with us. It was fun having visitors and nice to be in our home and not have to rush around Christmas morning. We did a lot of fun things. The kids put on the nativity, we tracked Santa on the computer, watched a Christmas movie, made cookies for Santa, and played the Wii. We think that Papa and Nana did more in one night then they had done the whole year;)Thanks for coming and sharing in the fun and memories with us Dad/Papa and Mom/Nana!

The kids made out like bandits=) Santa brought Hailey a kitchen and the boys bunk beds. Hailey also got a pretty pink/purple bike that she has been riding around the kitchen and the boys got MONSTER trucks (a Silverado and F-150). Santa even found Papa and Nana here and brought them some goodies!

Jakob as one of the three wisemen. I think he tried on all the costumes that night!

We really wanted Hailey to be Mary, but she wanted to be the donkey. And a cute donkey she did make! Emerson played the part of Joseph very well!

Nana brought sugar cookie dough to help us make cookies for Santa. Hailey loved eating all the sprinkles!

Watching Prep and Landing or tracking Santa...can't remember.
