Three or More Tuesday #3

Welcome to Three or More Tuesday!

Today I am showing you three postcards that I scanned.

I am not sure how well you are going to be able to see these but here goes anyway.

Maybe I could have played around and tried to enlarge the images.

However, it is getting late and I need to get to sleep so I can go to work in the morning.

Some you may recall that when Stitching Stella was visiting me we spent some time at the Charles Schulze Museum.

Many of you were surprised the museum even existed.

I bought 3 postcard while we were there. Two of them show parts of the museum where the public is not allowed to take pictures.

Because of the scanning there is strange spacing here.

Update: You can click on them to get a closer look.

Anyway, the postcard above shows an arial view of the Snoopy Labyrinth. We took Stella and Helmi through the labyrinth that day.

You can see how it is shaped like Snoopy's head. This next one is a wall mural painted by Charles M. Schulz around 1951 in their Colorado Springs home. After they moved from that home, the wall was eventually painted over.

A later owner discovered that wall was there and painstakingly removed the paint inch by inch until the full mural was again revealed.

The whole wall was taken down and very carefully shipped to the museum for display.

Can you imagine how much work that involved to uncover the mural and then to take it out of the house in one piece and ship it?

This last one is a picture of Charles Schulze's studio where he would draw the Peanuts comic strips. As he worked and doodled, he would wad up and throw away ones he didn't like. His cleaning lady I think it was, would save those wads of paper and take them home every night and iron them out. She kept them in a file.

Some of those doodles and tossed out drawings are now part of the displays at the museum.

So that is my Three or more post about three postcards.

I bought them to send to my granddaughter. But first I wanted to share them here.

Except for me. I was behind reading them and read them one after the other.

I have been Interviewed!

Suzie over at Suzie Button Creations has interviewed me recently. Suzie is a Broadcast Captioner for television. It is because of that piece of information that her blog caught my eye. I am a user of captioned television due to my hearing loss which I have had since birth.

Suzie started this Weekly Side Dish to share some of the interesting things she learns while she is doing her captioning job. One of those posts was about Plarn which I talk about on my craft blog. Anyway, Suzie decided to interview me about my experiences as a hearing impaired person trying to function in a hearing world. Suzie did a good job putting together this post. I would be honored if you would go on over there to read it. I felt honored to be interviewed in the first place.

Thank you Suzie for choosing to interview me on a topic that many people still do not understand. Hope you all learn something new!

Three or More Tuesday #2

Today it is time for Three or More Tuesday.

I am going to share something really different today.

I recently came across 3 posts by fellow bloggers that just had me cracking up.

Good bellyache laughs.

The kind that make you feel good and better because you laughed.

So here they are in the order that I found them.

First up is Tom over at Quilting and Carving

He shares an incident about a spider. He is a guy who does quilting and carving.

The second very good belly ache I came across was from

Colleen over at Main Street Memories.

Her hilarious post is titled "Ok, so, "dull" is a state of mind".

I still giggle over this one. But when I first read it I was laughing so much hubby had to come and see what was so funny. He was laughing his head off too after reading it.

The third funny post I came across yesterday.

Becky or aka Sassydog over at Becky and her Babies!

She shared this Monday Funny yesterday! It was one I had never seen before and it was another one of those where hubby had to find out what in world I was laughing at this time.

Yes I have been having several days of funnies and laughing. And I am glad too. Helped to cheer me up when I was feeling sort of down in the dumps. A good laugh does wonders to add cheer to the dreary, dismal, rainy days we are getting these days.

But it is good we are getting the rainy days. Maybe the water rationing will be lifted. Now that would be good news, enough rain to hold us through until next year.

You will feel better and have a spring in your step after laughing. At least I hope you do.

Pink Saturday #21 with Snoopy and Where did Stella go

Happy Pink Saturday to every and also Happy Valentine's Day! Thank you to Bevery over at How Sweet the Sound for hosting this special day for us.

I am sharing with you the last of the pictures I took the day we were out with Stella and Helmi at the Charles Schulze Museum and Snoopy's Gift Shop and Gallery.
Included in the Gallery were this pretty plates with pink. The one above is not dated but it is full of PINK.

This one is dated Valentines's Day 1977.

I did not know these plates existed.

They were displayed under glass so sometimes you can see the reflection of the lights above me.

This plate with pink hearts raining down is from 1978.

Then we have 1979 which is the year we were married.

And finally 1980.

I love all of these plates and would not mind having them in my collection at all.

We also went to Bodega Bay that day.

I saved this picture for today also.

It was hanging outside the Candy and Kites shop we stopped at for a visit.

This is the flag I bought there. The heart in the middle is clear vinyl made to look like the real boxes of candy hearts.

This flag I already had. I forgot it had Snoopy on it.

Both are hanging outside now.

Oh, I almost forgot.

I am supposed to tell you where Stella went next.

I sent her on to Dana over at The Stone Rabbit.

I figured the Stone Rabbit would show her a hilarious time.

Bye Bye Stella--We Will Miss You :-(

I pack up Stella and her things.

Time for her to go to her next place.

We are sad. But had a great time having her here. In her things I include this flyer about the Charles Schulze Museum.

Back at work I sit in my car to eat lunch.

It is still pouring out there.

I also read my current book.

Married in Seattle by Debbie Macomber.

Interestingly, by the time I needed to go back in to work,

it stopped raining.

Talk about good timing.

At least I did not get soaked!

This is what I find when I get home.

Helmi is sad and moping.

We will get past it though.

There is always a let down after fun things like that.

I will just have to find other things to keep Helmi busy.

Three or More Tuesday #1-More of Stella Outing.
