The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

We had a fantastically busy, beautiful Christmas.
My mom always goes above and beyond with her Christmas tree and decorations. I am hoping to inherit that talent... someday.
The de la Houssaye's flew into town! The more the merrier! It was VERY merry.
Most of Christmas Eve was spent up at the cabin. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow, until they stepped in it and realized it was up to their shoulders.
Eating snow is serious business... according to Shae.
Nathan built a GINORMOUS snow cave/tunnel. This picture was taken in the beginning stages. It has since grown twice that size with snow furniture and all! He's still a little boy at heart.
Christmas Eve night, we made our way to Clark Fork to visit with Nathan's mom and family. All of his siblings and their spouses came into town! It was so nice to catch up with all of them. We exchanged gifts, ate some delicious food and took a quick family picture.
That same night we headed over to Nathan's dad's house to stay the night and spend Christmas morning with him. The girls dressed in their PJ best .
Christmas morning was magical for these little ones. They were spoiled beyond belief and loved every minute of it.
Nathan, bless his heart, spent a good portion of his morning putting together princess castles, setting up cameras, and anything else that was in need of a handy-man.
The girls spent most of their morning attempting to wrap their heads around all of the presents they acquired.
Christmas afternoon, we drove back to my parent's place. The girls opened more presents, we played with more toys, watched a few movies, and reenacted the nativity scene. Annie was particularly happy about dressing up as Mary, and Shae was an angel. Brexton was Joseph, although he enjoyed looking through his dinosaur book more than dressing up... such a boy :)
While the de la Houssaye's were here, we managed to fit in a quick photo shoot. Such a beautiful family.
The girls loved getting to know little Maci better.
Brexton and Annie had fun together too.
Wish it didn't have to end...
This Christmas and all that came with it was fabulous; but I am especially grateful for the time we had to remember our Savior. I love celebrating His birth. He lived such a perfect and exemplary life. How can we not celebrate this? I love my Savior.

Merry Christmas... from our family to yours!

Icicles, Igloos, and Sledding...

We have been living in our snow clothes.
Nathan decided to roll down the hill... which led to...
Shae, experiencing her first face plant in the snow. Her poor little cheeks.

Post Thanksgiving Get-Away

After stuffing ourselves full of turkey, we decided to eat those turkey sandwich leftovers at the cabin.
Nathan made some "high-tech" snow chairs for the girls.
They loved them... they also loved getting their picture taken - NOT. Thanks for the tongue, Shae. She's not afraid to express herself. Evidently, the sun was too bright.
Shae became a little too comfortable in her snow chair.
Oh the sledding... we did a lot of it!
No Hands!
Wipeout.
Sweet Annie... waiting her turn.
Katelyn and Brad... the love birds.
Favorite part about the cabin... the view.
A bunch of lazy bums :)
Ticket to Ride... BEST GAME EVER.
An igloo... hand crafted by the one and only, Nathan.
Brian decided to carry Annie up the entire hill... This is why she loves her uncles. I made her walk :)
 Rippin' and Roarin'!
 My beautiful mother.
I love this boy.
Aww yes... the hot tub picture... that I know we all love. Luckily we all look great...
I would live up here if I could.
