I'm BACK XD

I came back from KL at 4pm+ today, Monday the 31st of March. O_O I miss KL and dad already. shiznit man. D:

and oh yeah, I miss school and my friends terribly. "FORTUNATELY" for me, I have a Chemistry paper 2 AS test before lunch time tomorrow, so that'll definitely make my 1st day back at school FANTASTIC. PFTT. Fantastic and fortunate in my nightmares!! =__= oh well. I sorta like revising chem now (: whenever I was jobless in KL (whenever I wasn't shopping, and all..) I'd go and try out those definitions paper the teacher gave us. GAHA.

Anyway, I wanna put up some stuff that had happened from before the holidays till the end of the holidays, but I'll do that once I've uploaded some stuff up, and after my chem tests ( notice the plural tense there D: ) are overrr. yayayay xD

and and, I've a GEO Presentation to do. X) weehoo~ but like.. I'm way behind school life at the moment as I missed the 1st day of school. Not my fault, =p My flight bahh.

Peeps from school. (Y)
[UPDATED]
Allow me to elaborate a bit on "Peeps from school"
the friends and the best budds in PTEB who are great to hang out with, who crack up once in a while, and act like bimbos, make me laugh when they say the funniest things, or rather random things that just sound funny from the way they say it. the friends, I hang out, or see everyday at school, and talk and fool around with, that 8 days without being with them as well as deprivation of the source of laughter that can only come from them had made me think about them most of the holidays, and yes Amal kau pun tu, eventho ur not from PTEB but yeah. HAHA.

some of these peeps from school are:
- Effy (ofcourse I missed you during the holidays =] )
- Zimo
- Zymah
- Shuif
- Hafiz
- Nabs
- Syazwani
- Mina
-Qammy
- Rahmah
- Amirul
- Caesar
- .....there's a lot mann. you guys should know who you are (:

oh yeah.... O_O" and that dude who keeps popping in my head when I was in KL, whenever I thought of the people I missed the most. HAHAHA. you don't know who you are, but yeah, that's a good thing ;)

and yes, my friends, I miss y'all. HAHA.

BGIC VI 2008 - Day 3. Committee Debates II

SUNDAY 2nd MARCH 2008.

(Sorry for the late update and post... HAHA I had to upload the pics so that I could publish this post. XD so yeah.. it's been in storage for a long time bwahaha. ENJOY! =D)

I came early. The Morning Assembly, was to start at 8.30, because we had to wait for the panel forum Guests (which includes Monty Halls!!) I came at around 7+ where I also met Filah and Effy, who had also come early. We actually thought we that we had come late cause usually we're asked to come to the ICC by 7am, but it turns out that today of all days - 7am is MEGA early. X) We had noticed how there was hardly that much people in the building so me Effy and I were like "seriously....? Sikit orang...? GAHD WHY'D I WAKE UP THAT EARLY!" bwahaha.

So to kill the extra time we had, Fils, Effy, Hidayah and Hafiz (both of whom joined us after their also-early arrival) and chatted a wee bit. Hafiz said my outfit looked like a school uniform. WTH XD I wore a long black skirt, and a white shirt with and Maroon Tie(which will have been swapped with Zimo's small tie afterwards, when I met him inside)

I accompanied Amirul around ICC a bit, to look for Caesar's stuff and then met up with the others again - THEN Zimo had a tie problem. His tie was simply too.. small, "cute" and unmanly for him. So Caesar pointed to my tie, which was sleek maroon, normal-sized, "proper". Oh boohoo~ Zimo asked if we could trade ties, and seeing as I didn't want Zimo to feel funny and "unmanly" I agreed t trade ties. Besides, he did say that he chose the tie he wore cause it was "cute" and yeah, it looked like a girls tie.. whereas mine looked like a guy's tie.. so changing ties was obviously the best choice for both of us =______=" eventhough I looked even more like a school kid in uniform, what with the stripped patterns on Zimo's tie. GAHAHA. Zimo, of all ties mannn, you chose that one bah.. astee~ =P

During the assembly~ the nine of the PTEB delegates ( no Amirul as he was away sitting by his Committee table, boo.) sat together, or rather, near each other - that way we could VAIN~! XD And talk and all. AND I noticed someone. He's dazzling O_O *gasps and melts* HAHAHAHA!

He was the guy I saw during the "Lobbying Day" at ISB - when Amirul and I were getting a cup of water, the water in the huge bottle on the water-dispenser was practically dried out so they had to change it. Then then then, I think it was the Delegate of Uganda who helped fix it in, cause initially someone just put in the huge bottle into the dispenser without taking off the bloody lid. HAHA BIMBO! How could they not take off the lid~! During this bimbo moment, the dazzling guy with a DSLR camera helped take off the lid.. and was around till Amirul and I had our cup of water.

So that's how I met that oh-so-dazzling guy. =P And I saw him during the assembly BWAHAHA. *smirks* But I couldn't stare at him that much as I was too busy paying attention to the announcements, discussions and speeches made during the assembly. *coughs* Seriously xp Not to mention, I was practicing my "For" Speech which I was going to do after the morning assembly. *gasp gasp gasp*

Caesar (on the floor), Zimo, Nazz(me), Effy, Nabs, Danny, Dayah, Fils, Hafiz.
Absent from the picture: Amirul.

Nazz(me), Effy, Nabs, Caesar.

See the pencil in my hand? I was editing my speech - which by the way, exceeded 2 minutes like WTH! so I predicted that there was no way that I could finish my points =__= (that turned out true..)

There was a Panel Session with the Guests. Amirul was being Mr "Brave Boy" going up to the mike asking whether he could go upstage and shake Monty Halls' hand, after asking the panel judges why "people could just stop killing sheeps to help" HAHAH. Daym, Mirul, I know you're using common sense for the original question concerning environment and sheep issues, but didju have to be a bimbo in suggesting a logical answer XD

Zimo wanted to ask some things about Marine Biology - about interfering with Coral life. If we keep on interfering with Coral life, wouldn't that lead to an even faster rate of extinction of the Coral? x) The question in my head was like that when Zimo told me what he wanted to ask.. but yeah apakan..

Then REFRESHMENT BREAK.

Committee Debate RESUMES~

We discussed the Resolutions and I did my for speech for the Resolution Co-submitted by the USA, and... etc concerning deforestation in Bangladesh. IT WAS COOL giving the speech. I know I wasn't all "awesome" or whatever, but I got to speak in front of loads of people about my views for goodness sake! How awesome can that be? It was intimidating, however, especially when it came to the Points of Information..

Chair (Japan): Delegate of Benin, are you open to any points of information?
Nazz (Delegate of Benin): *inhales...exhales* Any.... and all.... o__o
*the floor... loads of placards shoots up!!*
Nazz: *heart beats fast* *in my head: holy crap wtf wtf wtf, whyyyy. whyyy did I say yes...*

The Delegate of Russia, Colombia and China were GAHH so intimidating. T__T I managed to answer some POIs. hehehhh... darn. BUT IT WAS FUN~~~ XD And the Delegate of USA was nice to help me out a bit while I stood before the people. Gila berijap. HAHA. And oh yeah, the resolution I made the "FOR" speech for, PASSED! :D

There was also, a session with Monty Halls... in personnnn! Weehoo~

I WILL UPDATE THIS POST AND THE OTHERS SOON :D

BGIC VI 2008 - Day 2. Opening Ceremony and Committee Debates.

Saturday 1st of March. BGIC Venue: ICC

The day started with an Opening ceremony of the sixth ISB Borneo Global Issues Conference at ICC. Thr place was packed with students, teachers, parents, observers and other guests. Among the special guests present was ISB BGIC's Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness PAIPA Sarah. Television presenters and environmentalists Monty Halls (from Animal Planet) and Dr. Alison Cronin were also present to observe, and to be panel judges.. and... give a talk about the Environment and I talked to Mr Monty Halls.. AHHHH!!! YAYY I got to meet him x) He's cool! A famous environmentalist for crike sakes! Although, he's a Marine Biologist and I'm interested in Tree Conservation, the Agriculture and Vegetation divisions under the Environment but still! Environmentalist Environmentalist Environmentalist~

.
.
GAHH X) The Assembly was fun.

I sat next to Siqqin, the Delegate of Ethiopia, Environment Committee Forum 2, and Caesar, Hidayah and Hafiz sat in the row in front of mines, so I had company to keep me entertained as well. I was practically practising my "Opening Speech" at any chance I could seize during the assembly which was packed with events!

The ISB music group played; Choir and Orchestra (Gahd, I miss being in an Orchestra...); there were performances by ISB students and students from Sekolah Rendah Dato Othman, speeches from Her Royal Highness, as well as the other special guests and Parliamentarians of BGIC.

Afterwards, we had a refreshment break, and the food was great! Amirul, Caesar and Dan were hungry~ Too bad we couldnt have seconds :P (right Amirul?)

Then, the Forum Committee Debates were carried out amongst the individual committees to debate on the resolutions that had passed in Day 1 (Lobbying Day). It was really NEW for me. I had no idea what the atmosphere would be like! Initially, I felt like an outcast; a newbie; and LOST. But but but~ bit by bit I sorta adapted to the whole thing, my speech was alright and the nervousness inside decreased. Although, the only time I talked during the debate sessions was during the Role Call, and the Opening Speeches, the Voting Role Call, and talking with other delegates... that was pretty much it for my Public Speaking development for the day. Lame, much...

BUT I HAD FUN! And made new friends ;p

The 1st resolution debate was intimidating, especially the For Speeches made by the Co-submitters of the resolution and when a WHOLE LOAD of POI's and disagreement mutated into annoyance and slight impatience with a hint of prejudice. boo. Then we had the Rights of Statement, and Shim made a speech about Brasil's "Hot hot bikini models~..." and "tooty frutiy hats..." and "Hot hot body~" HAHA. FUNNY. It totally cleared away the tense atmosphere after the first resolution failed to pass. There were also frivolous note-passing among the delegates. Crayzay =P

Second resolution: I like. I support. I planned to make a For Speech. I did, the next day. Will talk about it in the next post. Oh yeah, The Delegate of USA of Forum 2 Environment Committee; Aiden, was really good! Her speeches were good, her fashion-sense... she convinced people, honestly!

At the end of the day... we had a photo shoot!

whoaa, huge group right? (:

delegates (;

After the photo shoot...

The ten delegates from PTEB. =)
L to R: Hafiz, Amirul, Nazz, Zimo, Fils, Danny, Effy, Nabs, Dayah, Caesar

All ten went to eat afterwards, so we went to the food fair inside and met...

DIM SUM!! XD

o__o man, did that make us more hungry or what.

BGIC VI 2008 - Day 1. "Lobbying."

The Borneo Global Issues Conference VI, commenced on Friday, the 29th of February 2008, at ISB. The PTEB delegates and I seemed to lack some preparation, as we had no idea what we were gonna go through (except Amirul, as this was his second time attending BGIC) but seriously, BGIC, for all of us, was practically the BEST experience we HAD! So far. But yea, THE BEST! x3

I came late to ISB, so I had no idea where my Committee's Lobbying room was, cause I missed the Opening Assembly thing. While everyone was heading to their respective committee rooms, I had to ask Yasmin, one of the Secretary Generals, who was on the stage that time, where the Environment Committee Forum 2 room was. HAHA. That's the result of coming late =___= booo.

Hafiz Pinky came late too! =p bwahahah! Ms. Hassal handed me my BGIC File, and this HUGE BGIC t-shirt. It was size 46! Like, the heck man?! That's simply too big =_= and and, we have name tag, which we have to wear, so people would err.. be able to identify us, obviously =p

When I went into my Committee Room, like, I slowly opened the door, and went in.. and there was like, this room of people staring at the girl who had just entered. It was so intimidating, cause basically I had NO Idea who they were, and the thought of being an outcast was dominantly throbbing in my head.

Contrary to what I had assumed, I befriended people~ xD The first person I befriended was Shim! From ISB. He was from my table, and I just went and smiled to him after I entered the room and sat down.

I asked, "hey, what's your name?" and he said "Heyyy. I'm Shim, delegate of Brazil, you?" I said "ohh, heyy I'm Nazz, my country's Benin. so like, do you have a resolution?" and He smiled and said "Yeahhh, it's in my bag, you want to see it?" and I replied "cool! alright then.." and yeah, I co-sponsored his resolution.

The next person I befriended was, Siqqin, who was the delegate of Ethiopia. She came late, and she was experiencing the same "newbie syndrome" as I had, feeling intimidated and scared to talk to people. I smiled to her, after she sat down next to me, and I asked her name x) yayy. Confidence Levels boost up~

The Chairs in charge of my committee were Arthur and Grace. I was too scared to talk to them. o__o"

The guy who sat in front of me, was the delegate of Portugal. I forgot his name, x) but he's from ISB. During "Lobbying" Siqqin and I moved around the class. At first we just moved to the table where Shim had went to. I met Mahfuzah, delegate of Kenya, from Maktab Sains, and Walter, delegate of Canada, from Seri Insan School in Malaysia. Shim and Mahfuzah merged their resolutions, which turned out good~! Mean while, me and Siqqin, were like isolated from the others, seeing as we were both sorta-quiet people, or the fact that we didnt know anyone else in the room.

Afterwards, The delegates of Russia, Columbia, and Australia asked me and Siqqin to read their resolution. It was good, really, but then the delegate of Russia said that If I was gonna co-sponsor it, I can't co-sponsor USA's resolution as Russia and USA are practically rivals. But the thing is, Benin is a country who is really close to USA - USA is like the country who's aided Benin a lot! US-Beninese relations babyyy~ So, yea, I couldn't co-sponsor their resolution. =3

Oh oh, and then Fatin from MD asked Siqqin and I to sit with them at the table they were sitting.. cause ya know, isolation makes things awkward. Fatin is niceeeee! And oh yeah, I realised, the Fatin from MD is actually the "Fatin Lame" who's in Mushy's tagboard. *Waves to Fatin* Anyway, Fatin is the delegate of Sweden. I also met the delegate of Sudan, and um.. Marcel's friend si Mirul and.. yea. I forgot :/ But they were real cool people (Y) We went around ISB together. HAHA, cause we didnt want to stay in the class the WHOLE time.

Jobless =p

The Forum 1 area place =p

I met Amirul around the Forum 1 area, and hung around with him most of the time, afterwards. T'was fun, seeing as he knew a lot about what was happening and stuff. So yea, he's the updater and guide to survival on my first day in BGIC.

The PTEB delegates (some) reunited around the same place I met Amirul, after Amirul and I took a tour of the Forum 1 area. We joined Zimo, Nabs, Dayah, Effy and Fils. Walked around.
