Free Copic Marker Class

I recently found a website called Kit and Clowder. They have some amazing copic classes on there. They also have a monthly project class you can sign up for. I signed up and can't wait to learn more about copics. On their website they are currently offering a free class. They just asked if you signed up to share it in some way so I thought I would post about it here.

I just love this little dog stamp from Stamps of life. It is called birthday4cookie. The card is really simple but it makes me smile. I did this for the furry friends challenge over at stamps of life. You can see the challenge by clicking HERE.

I used the June kit from Simon says stamp and the July stamp and die set from Stamps of life to create these cards. The papers are from doodlebug. The stamp set is called watermelon2stamp

I've made a few kits using the new Stamps of Life June kit. I just love how everything coordinates!

This first card is a quick thank you note. Everything is from the June kit

This second card is also from the June kit. I stamped the sentiment in different colors of ink I already owned. The only thing not from the kit is the bling. I love that the kit includes a new word die with shadow. This month it is Hooray

This last card uses embellishments and paper from the June kit. The stamp set is from Simon says stamp. It is called slumber party. I had to have this stamp set because my daughter was in love with a teddy bear when she was little. Actually she still has it and I'll see her holding it once in a while. I made this card for my daughters Birthday. The sentiment is from inkadinkado

I bought my friend a stamp set for her birthday from stamps of life. The set is called Cat2stamp. We played with it today and these are the 2 cards I made. I colored the cat with my copics.

Is this card funny or gross? Lol I thought it was funny. I made it for a friend of mine that has 3 cats. I used stamps of life papers from their may kit. Distressed with some Tim holtz inks and added some glossy accents to the hair ball and cats eyes. lol I have had this stamp for probably 10 years and just now am using it. I think it is from inkadinkadoo (i'm sure I spelled that wrong).

This is just a quick birthday card I made today. I used a stamp set from Close to my Heart called Nursery Bash. I colored them in with my copics and cut them out. I think I may hate cutting out images. Anyone else? I then stamped Happy Birthday with the monthly stamp set from Simon Says stamp called Happy&Smile. The papers are from the Stamps of life. I have made tons of cards with the paper from this months kit. I added some wink of stella and glossy accents to the balloon. Thanks for visiting!

This month the Stamps of Life had a whale theme.. I scraplifted this design from one of their designers. I had to have some sparkle though so added stickles to the water spray. The stamp set is called whale2stamp. I just love that it comes with dies to match.

This is just a quick card I made for a friend of mine that is a nurse. The stamp is from The Greeting Farm. I believe it is called cheeky nurse. I colored with copics and added some wink of stella to her hat and outfit for some sparkle. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp June Kit.

I just wanted to do a quick post to show how I store my Tim Holtz mini ink pads. I only have four so far but I'd like to get more. I had a cheap 4x6 plastic storage container that is meant to hold photos. It holds these ink pads perfectly. The way the ink pads are designed the lids fall off easily. Having them in a case has solved that problem. Also the circle foam blending pads fit perfectly in the bottom of the ink pad.

I just can't get enough of this kit. It is so easy to work with because everything coordinates! I have made several cards and still have a lot of product left to work with. I'm going to see how many cards I can make. This was my first time paper piecing flip it cards. I have to say I really enjoyed the process.

Smile - Stamps of Life May Card kit 2015

I am just in LOVE with this May Card Kit from The Stamps of Life. I don't know its because I love photography or what but its so cute! I just loved the paper with the little cameras on it.

I made another card and I still have tons of stuff left in the kit. Its hard to see in the photo but I used wink of stella over the die and it is really glittery in real life.

Simon Says stamp June Kit Vs Stamps of life

So, I don't think I shouldl really keep two card kits and the Die hard kit. I'm really leaning towards just keeping The Stamps of Life. I thought I would try both for 3 months and see what I thought.

This is the June kit this month from Simon says stamp.

I did a youtube video comparing the two. I really like both.

Do you get any kits? Which ones do you get and how do you like them?

Stamps of LIfe May 2015 Kit

I just recently discovered a company called The Stamps Of Life. I think I might already be a little obsessed. Their designs are so stinking cute! I have already made 3 cards and plan on making a lot more with the kit.

I even posted a youtube video on it! You can see that HERE

So far this is what I have made. They were all simple designs and I enjoyed relaxing and making some cards. It was really easy because everything coordinates. Everything is from the kit except I used some ink, pop dots and black cardstock.

The snappy birthday card actually used the tail of the pig that came in the die hard club. It was used for confetti here.

Made a few more cards with the kit today. This kit really challenged me as I don't ever use gold in my cardmaking. I thought it was good colors for wedding cards though.

I tried to make a present out of the patterned paper.

I embossed the stamped images. The ribbon I had laying around. It is goldrush from CTMH

I am going to try out a few card kits and see if it will get my creativity flowing. I usually get inspired by new scrapbooking items although I probably could get by on what I already own.

Anyway, I tried the simon says stamp card kit. This kit comes with some 6x6 papers, a stamp set and a few embellishments. It also comes with a few inspiration cards. Some of the paper was so pretty I didn't want to use it!

All papers were included with the kit. I have to say I was seriously impressed by the thickness of the cardstock! WOW! It was really thick and I didn't know cardstock like that existed! I stamped the two phrases on the card, added some stickers and a ribbon. :)

The kit can be purchased for $29.95 or if you subscribe its $24.95. The stamp set and ink pad alone would cost that much. I'm not sure how many months I will continue the kit but I'm going to at least get Junes kit. I am not sure if it is worth that much of my craft allowance each month. That is probably the scrapbooker in me. I would like a kit that allows me to do 12x12 pages as well as cards. I also would like that kit to include stamping which is why I got the simon kit.

I am also going to try a kit from Stamps for Life. I am super excited about trying that one. I would love to have stamps and dies to match.

Found this shelf at a garage sale for $15. I might of paid too much but I liked it and it matched my cube system perfectly. I'll probably eventually use it for more storage maybe with baskets. For now its my artwork/card display.

This is a canvas I made at the mega meet. Got around to adding a photo. I loved using the chalk ink pads in this class. Wishing I would of bought a set at the mega meet.

This card I whipped up tonight. The image is from Whimsy stamps and its called I love you so much. Colored from copics and papers are from an old kit I have had forever. Papers are basic grey.

Krazy Kreations Outline stickers Card

One of the other booths I discovered at the mega meet had a product called Krazy Kreations Outline stickers. These stickers are made of vinyl and I had a lot of fun working with them. I purchased one of their card kits which had everything you needed to make 3 cards. I switched one of them up a little. In the card kit came a piece of their microfine glitter paper. You attach the sticker to it and then you can color in the images really easy with copic markers. It also says on the packaging you can use watercolors, gel pens, colored pencils or just leave plain. I really love working with kits so I wish I would of bought a few more of these. I did buy some of the stickers so I guess i'll have to make my own kit.

Here is how I laid the stickers out on the glitter paper. It recommended using copics R21, R29, E21, E49, 110 and 0.

After you color them you fussy cut around the image. When did this become a scrapbooking term? Fussy cut? We used to just say cut it out. This is how long I have been out of the scrapbooking lingo I suppose.

Here is the finished product.

This one below I used another stamp set I had to emboss the coffee beans on the side and stamp the sentiment.

Its had to get the sparkle to show on the computer but the paper is really beautiful in person!
