Ohanami

We went to see the cherry blossoms at a few different places this year, but I think my very favorite is the park right across the street from us. It's always fun to enjoy the beautiful view of the trees and know that Spring is here. We were a little dissapointed that they blommed so early, we really wanted Mom and Dad to see them when they arrived. If they could have just held on for one more week... I love Spring! The temperature is just so pleasant and there's always a gentle breeze to fly a kite.

Matsuri

The school the boys attend had their annual "Matsuri" which is just how you say festival in Japanese. They hold one every spring and the children dress up in Japanese outfits and the school provide all sorts of games and traditional Japanese festival food. This is our third year attending, so I decided it was about time they had some outfits to accompany the occasion. They all loved dressing up and looked so cute! It was a beautiful day. The warm weather is coming and so is our annual trip to the US!

Easter Picnic and Lipstick

Last Saturday we had an Easter picnic with some friends. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a ball. Spring is in the air and all the trees are starting to bloom. I love this time of year. Next week the boys will be on vacation so we have several things planned to be out spending energy!
Then yesterday, Isabel found my purse and within it, my lipstick. I guess she had a general idea as to where lipstick goes. It was also all over my wallet, purse and credit cards - it took her less than 5 minutes...

Celine Dion Live!

I finally got to enjoy my Christmas present. Cameron and I along with 55,000+ more fans got to see Celine Dion in her "Taking Chances" world tour. It was a fun and very interesting experience. The Japanese are very reserved during a concert. Most people just sat the whole time. We were just about the only two people singing and dancing. We had really good seats on the arena of the Tokyo Dome and we even got to see her up close when she arrived and when she walked out. I couldn't get a really good shot... the camera refused to focus. She is a great singer and gave an amazing performance.

Cam's Birthday and Isa's chopsticks

Cameron's Birthday fell on a Sunday this year so we were lucky to have him with us all day! He even got to sleep in for a little while. We had a nice day attending church and then home for tacos! We also had a birthday cake (carrot) and all the boys enjoyed blowing out the candles.

Today Isabel and I had ramen noodles for lunch. She insisted on using chopsticks. I have to say she did very well for a first timer. It must be because she was born in Japan...
