A Wedding Card

A Public Holiday today yay :) and we have a family wedding, so I thought to share the card I made for the happy couple. For a change I am doing a totally different card than my usual ones, so no coloring, no digi images and instead recycling.

In fact the bride and groom image and the background are recycled from two shop bought cards which my friends give me to recycle. I was really pleased to have been able to match both and of course using up some of the cards as I got loads of them! 

I then added some ribbon to hide a join of the back card and finished it off with the veil, gems, peel offs and a sentiment.

I think it came out quite nice and really hope they loved it.

Food and Drink

It's Wednesday again, and a lovely sunny day here in Malta. In fact it's been like this for these past few days and if, as predicted, it will still be nice and warm, we were thinking of going to the beach on Sunday. So fingers crossed for Sunday :) I'd really love to go!!

Anyway, back to today's DT card for the new challenge that started today at 

I ♥ Promarkers

The theme for this week is

FOOD AND DRINK

This week we are sponsored by Just Inklined 

and the prize for the lucky winner is 3 digi images of the winner's choice.

We also were so lucky to get an image to use to make our cards and I chose this lovely wedding cake.

I printed the image twice and then cut out the lilies and popped them up with foam. I colored the image with my promarkers and finished off the card with gold colored peel offs, three little hearts and a ribbon, keeping the card clean. The background DP is digi which I found on the net.

Weddings and Anniversaries

Still awful weather over here! I don't know how some people love Winter... definitely not me! I know I shouldn't complain that much as it doesn't snow here and we don't get awful weather that often,  but with this weather I can't go out running as much as the last time I did I got an awful cold. So I'm really hoping it will be nicer soon as at the end of the month there's the marathon. It's all I'm talking about lately and I'm so looking forward, less than two weeks now!

Anyway, onto my DT card for this week and the theme for this week at 

I ♥ Promarkers is

WEDDINGS and ANNIVERSARIES

I get to do quite a few wedding cards so it was an easy one for me this week. For my card I used one of my fave images from Lili of the Valley, again my border die from Crafty Sentiments and the rose flower die from Marianne Design, which also happen to be our sponsor for this week.

 

I finished off my card with some lovely white and golden glittery ribbon, peel offs sentiment and a charm with two celebration glasses which I attached to the bow.

A Wedding Dance

I didn't manage to do my DT card this week, so I thought to share instead a wedding card I made for my friend who got married this weekend on Saturday. We have met at the fitness and dance classes we go to, so I thought these Forever Friends dancing teddies stamp would be just perfect for her.

I colored the image with my promarkers, the border die cut is from Crafty Sentiments, the hearts are Marianne Designs, while the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. I finished off the card with some peel offs.

Monochrome

I still can't believe I'm still not well as it's the third week now! Yesterday I went to the physiotherapist but he said that I just need time to heal.. so I'm waiting! Anyway, I really don't want to bore you with this, so on a happy note I announce that it's our 20th Wedding Anniversary today:) We decided to take the day off today to go to Gozo but it's a really windy day so we will see what to do instead!!

Now onto my DT card for this week and this time I have a wedding card for the

MONOCHROME challenge that started today at I ♥ Promarkers.

For my card I used an image and background DP from Graphicstock which I got for free as they had a seven day trial period where you could download up to 20 images per day for free.

 I printed the image four times, colored it with promarkers and layered it for a 3D effect.

On your wedding day

Having had to stay at home today due to an injury on a 'pleasure' ride at a Luna Park here in Malta, I spent some time in my craft room and made this wedding card.

The image, which is one of three images that I was so so lucky to win last week, is from A Day for Daisies, and I colored it with my promarkers. Papers are my Wild Rose Studio paper pack,the hearts die is from Simon Says and leaves from Marianne Design. The sentiment is a clear stamp from Card-io and I also used a punch from Martha Stewart to make the scallops. I really am pleased with how it turned out.. will surely find use to it real soon :)

Mrs and Mrs

Recently in Malta same sex marriages were legalised.. and guess what .. I was asked to make a wedding card for the first of these couples that got married! I really was excited to do this card, as it was a first for me doing this type of card.. but it was a challenge. Anyway this is what I came up with.. thought I would share it here.

For the background DP I used one from my Wild Rose Studio paperpack, the gorgeous hearts dies are Marianne Design, the Mrs & Mrs die cuts and then lots of peels offs to finish it off. I really loved how it turned out.

Anything Goes

Good morning everyone. I can't believe it's been two weeks since I posted anything here... so here I am today with not one but two cards in one post!

For both cards I am using the same stamp set but as you can see they are totally different cards.

The first card I did it for the new challenge that started today at 

I ♥ Promarkers

and the theme for this challenge is

ANYTHING GOES

The two sentiment stamps that I used in this card are from The Wedding Day stamp set which I was so lucky to receive from our sponsor for this week, Visible Image. See the other stamp in this set in the next card.

The other stamp that I used on the card, of the bride and groom is from Card-io, I colored it with my promarkers and then I used DP from Papermania, a die-cut heart doily from QuicKutz and then flowers, a bow and pearls from my stash to finish it off.

For my second card, I used the same large sentiment stamp from the The Wedding Day stamp set and then I also used the lovely rose stamp, which is also in this set.

I decided to heat emboss the stamps, but it was only after the third attempt that I decided they were ok as it's been some time since I did this! I then mounted the cards on gold card and finished it off with gold peel-offs, a bow and the gorgeous die-cut doves from Marianne Design... first time using this die. Love it :)

A Special Wedding Card

Today it's a Public Holiday in Malta and we have a family wedding. I thought I would share the card I made for them for this special occasson.

The card is an extra large 8 x 8 size and I used one of my fave Forever Friends stamps. Colored it with my promarkers. Love the soft colored background DP, and I bought the hearts ribbon from here.

Well I better be off to get prepared as it's a morning wedding.

So I will be back with some challenges later on in the evening.

Weddings and Anniversaries

I'm a day late this week with my DT Card! I've been staying overtime all week long and ending up so tired when I get home..  not even going to Bokwa too ! Boo :( .. I have at least got better, no more sneezing, just in time for me to do the 5km Run last Friday. I managed to do all the run with some encouragement from a friend who was running beside me, and did it in 27.30 mins. So my next marathon now is the President's Run for Charity on 1st December, this time 7km! Looking forward to that one :)

Anyway, better get to to my DT Card now for the new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers.

The theme for this week is WEDDINGS and ANNIVERSARY.

A perfect theme for me as I'm all the time being asked to do wedding cards, this one, for a change, I did it for me to give away to friends who were getting married. 

For the image I used one of my fave stamps from Lili of the Valley and colored it with my promarkers. The background embossing folder was a freebie in a magazine, the flower die is Impression Obsession and I had bought the hearts die cuts a long long time ago.

Our Wedding

Hello good morning everyone. Happy Sunday to all. I've been out for an early one hour jog this morning and loved it. I had stopped doing this when I started the Bokwa classes but lately I haven't been going as much to Bokwa so I thought to start again the morning jog, hoping to keep it up.

So now I'm blogging and sharing this card I made for a friend. She wanted to give a card to her future husband, using the lilac color as her bridesmaids dresses.

This is what I came up with after some thought...

... a clean one since it was going to be given to a man.. I just used my Marianne Creatables bride and groom die, some forgotten peel-offs and the flower from the invitation... thought I could get away with it, even it is for a male, since it was from the invitation!! The background paper is actually a vellum one which I stuck from the sides.

Another Wedding Card

I had a very busy day today at the office, but still a really good one as my worst enemy was on vacation leave today ha ha :P .. and it's Friday today too, so two very good things happening today :)

Anyway, back home now thought I would share another wedding card that I did, using again another of my fave Lili Of the Valley stamps, which I again colored with my promarkers.

For my card this time I decided to use designer paper from a pack of papers which were free in a magazine, some lace and again the hearts die from Marianne Creatables.

The gorgeous good luck shoehorse is not a die.. but I cut that from one of the cards that friends give me to recycle.. :) shop-bought of course..  I love how my card turned out today too.

A Wedding Card and my Candy Winner

At this time of the year I always have a wedding day card or two to do, this is one that I did this week.

For this one I used one of my fave stamps from Lili Of The Valley, which I colored with my promarkers, and DP from Wild Rose Studio. 

The heart and flourish dies are from Marianne Creatables, while the border die is from Crafty Sentiments. I used corner peel-offs and three silver gems to finish it off.

Wedding Cards

Today I thought I would share these Clean and Simple Wedding Cards that I made ....

.. or should I say Clean and Quick...they definitely were, but the request was for clean cards, so I couldn't do otherwise!!! For the first one I just used DP from Wild Rose Studio paper-pack, rings peel off and sentiment rubber stamp from Sir Stampalot which I stamped on a Spellbinders die-cute and for the second one I used the same sentiment stamp, three pearls and a flourish clear stamp from Dimension Stamps.
