Beauty and The Beast

My new Beauty and The Beast candle stick... It does remind me of one of those candlesticks that comes to life in the film,
 Beauty and the Beast.

Just booked myself and Noah a little trip to Oslo to see a good friend and her little boy in the beginning of April, can´t wait! Haven't been to Oslo for ages, so I´m super excited. 

I have to make the most of it before I get back to work...

On the move

We are on the move again... 

The apartment is sold and we have found a lovely place to live up until our new house is buildt. So here we are, moved from Stavanger to Sandnes.  

(Only 15 minutes down the motorway). 

At the moment our sofa is a bunch of cushions and

 sheep rugs, luckily a sofa is on it´s way...

After a long weekend moving we are as good as sorted in our new home, just can´t believe how much we have got. We have only lived here a year and a half!

But at least we are one step closer to the house!!

Candle holder

The little one is asleep, Me and Mr Bell are sat relaxing on the sofa... Feels like ages since I was last creative so thought it was about time I made myself something new. I found some old wool, a crochet needle, a small glass (baby food glass) and a candle... 

Ended up as a new candle holder.

It lets the light out in all the small gaps, looks nice!

Now it´s time for me to watch a bit of Coronation Street! An English soap series...exiting!

Winter is here...

Another Little grandparents update...

The winter has finally arrived in Stavanger, all within a couple of hours. Just thought i´d post some pictures of the 

little prince sitting up (which is new this week...) Here he is wearing his new winter coat ready for a walk in the snow.

Woke up at 04:45

This time I can´t blame the Little one for waking me up very early... I simply cant stop thinking about our new house and how Im going to decorate it! Im sooo excited, but I will have to wait a while longer...not much point in decorating concrete walls...

I got a really good journal (above) from my sister in law for Christmas, brilliant for putting my ideas and cut out`s in.

We went to have a look at the house yesterday, which we tend to do more or less every Sunday.(Which is probably why I woke up thinking about it in the night..)

Our home as we know it...

As I´ve already told you we have a house in the making... Which sadly means we need to let our home go... But I guess it´s part of the process! I haven´t been a keen bean on the blog lately, simply because of this. 

Exciting times!!

New additions

A few new additions to our home... The nature theme is certainly catching on and I´m loving it! More and more nordic animals are moving in and I have a few creative projects up my sleeve...just takes me a while to collect the things I need to make them! But one day...

Winter is coming

Getting closer to Winter. We are lighting the candles and lighting the fire. My new favorite colours are definitely pink and grey so our new additions for the sofa are a grey sheep rug and a pink cushion. Think I need to get cracking on the sewing machine and make myself a homemade round cushion next.

A very exciting event in Stavanger this weekend... There is a big Home Exhibition, where Jamie and his company has got an amazing stand that Jamie has designed. As you might be able to imagine, I have been a bit proud walking around...

Building a house

Our new house!!

Well, it´s not built yet... We will be moving in sometime during the last six months of next year. So exciting!

We are running out of rooms to do up, but as you probably have figured I like to have projects...so this was a little one! My washroom downstairs... Sewed some curtains and a bit of paint, looks a bit cosier at least.

A little garden makeover

A little makeover of our front garden... Was an old and overgrown flowerbed, now it is a bit lighter and easier to maintain.

Lots of bushes and plants to dig out before we could lay the stone...

We are ready!

Finally we are ready for the arrival of our little prince! The room is more or less finished, just a few finishing touches left... His little bed is ready in our room and his play cot is ready downstairs in our living room. My hospital bag is packed, it can happen anytime... Just less than 3 weeks until our due date!! VERY exciting!

Who said my husband couldn´t fit a carpet?

Happy news, the carpet is down!! The walls are painted and I am happy! As many of you know I have been stressing a bit to get this room ready, and now it is very close. The nest building syndrome really does exist...and Im in the middle of it! My lovely husband and his brother Ants has done an amazing job fitting the carpet, the floor in this room is far from square so it took some hard work and a bit of planning. And cutting a 4x5 meter big carpet in the living room is a bit of a challenge, but its all done and dusted:) Just a few bits and bobs left to do...

We are getting closer!

Three of my favorite men have made a good start on our little boy´s room! After a lot of nagging from me we have finally got a new wall, one of the two doors that leads in to this room is sealed up, a fair bit of the painting is done,a lot of plastering, we have put a new door in and we are getting closer and closer day by day... We still have a bit to do though! My tummy is growing and we just can´t wait to meet our little boy!! Went for a look around the maternity ward at the hospital a few days ago, made us feel very excited and a tad nervous! Only 5 weeks to go...

The little man's new bedroom...

A wall is pulled down, paint is bought... So now all we have left is put up a new wall, lay a new floor, paint and a bit of decorating! Oh, and take a door out and replace it with some plaster boards. The Berntsen's will be coming shortly to put up the new wall that will make the room much bigger as it will bring together the guest room and the landing area upstairs. Soon our little boy will have a brand new room. We will keep you updated on the progress!
