The rest of the story! Early December 2015

That last blog was getting a little long so here's the rest of our latest Utah adventure...

Tuesday night Hannah got us all tickets to the BYU production of Beauty and the Beast and it was spectacular!

We spent the night on Tuesday with our good friends,  Cindi and Jeff Ingersoll, in Highland. They are always so good to us and we didn't have near enough time to visit with them!!

On Wednesday, we got to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the BYU museum of art. It was amazing and we highly recommend it!

After the exhibit, we got to watch the men's chorus rehearse. That was a treat!

When we walked out of the building we saw this gorgeous sunset...

That night, Eric made us a delicious potato cheese soup and then we went to Hannah's opera ensemble concert! It was awesome and she was amazing!

That was a lot for a few days but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We flew home on Thursday, picked up our car at the airport and drove to Colorado Springs to watch Sophie's kindergarten program.

We grabbed a quick lunch at Costa Vida before the show.

The grandkids are always so happy to see us! Sophie and Tucker call Mike "Hampa" which is pretty cute!

Sophie did a great job!

We headed home in the evening and were glad to be back in our own little
Christmas house and our own little bed.

Christmas time is here! December 2015

Mike went over to Utah with Eric and Hannah to help Paul and Joni out for the week.  They all had a nice drive over and Mike had a wonderful stay.

Here is Grandpa telling Ellie his Brer Bear stories and Ellie with her beautiful gingerbread house:

This is Joel and Erin's new rescue dog, Francine, with Reese. She is awesome with the kids and they adore her!

I attended our ward Christmas party with our friend and Addie's breeder, Lori. It was a good evening and a great way to start out the Christmas season!

I flew over to Utah and joined Mike on Saturday for some events that we had scheduled a while back. We stayed with Joel and Erin in their lovely home and got to know Frannie a bit.

First up on the agenda was the BYU Christmas concert! It has been such a treat to hear Eric singing in the men's chorus! It was truly glorious!!

His adoring fans!

We got to spend some wonderful time with Paul's family too:

Their house was so beautifully decorated! Some wonderful friends did the outside for them professionally!!

The love in their home is so strong. The support and generosity of their friends and neighbors continues to amaze us.

Next up, Christmas lights at Temple Square! Chase and Hannah joined us in the rain (not snow) for dinner and the lights. It was so beautiful! Haven't been for many years so it was a special treat!

Caroling with the sister missionaries!

You can barely see this but we were there to witness this couples proposal!! We didn't know them but it was still fun!

I love to see the Temple!

We got to see some cute Charlie Brown window displays in the old ZCMI building--all made of candy!

What a fun night! So glad these cute kids joined us!

Moore fun in the snow! November 2015

We were blessed to have a white Thanksgiving!! It was perfect because it snowed after our travelers arrived and they all arrived safely!

We had so much fun sledding on the hill at sunset middle school! Sadie loved it and Claire tolerated it for a while!! It's so fun to now be bringing grandkids to the same hill we brought our kids to when they were little. So many fun memories!

All bundled up and ready to hit the hill!

All done! Please take me home!

So we did and we had this for lunch!!

Leftovers!!  Oh and hot chocolate! We did the Tim Tam Slam! Yummy gooey chocolatey deliciousness!

We started a puppy training class for Addie and she is doing great! Sadie and Ali came along for this weeks lesson.

Eric treated us to low country boil on Saturday night!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend! Now onto Christmas!

Moore to be grateful for! Thanksgiving 2015

I love Thanksgiving! It's a holiday where we spend time with those we love and eat good food!! What could be better than that?

This year we were blessed to have Eric and Hannah home from BYU and Ryan's family up from the Springs and a special treat of Mike's brother David and his wife Viera who joined us from Santa Fe, New Mexico.  It was a good mixture of people and we had a great time together!

Of course there was music!

And we had snow!

And so much sweetness---

And oh the food...

It was delicious and bountiful!

We have so much to be thankful for! We wish all of our children were around our table with their families so we could share our gratitude for each of them for the love and joy they bring to us.

Happy Thanksgiving!
