Moore Fun with Grandma!

My mom, Jean Brady, came to live with us a week ago! We are so happy to have her with us. She is a happy addition to our family. Here she is wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!


Everyone that knows Grandma, (Mima) knows she can be quite a clown. Here she is clowning around at the dinner table. She had a lot of fun with Eric's hat!

I think those faces say it all. She is a little "impish" and a little "angelic" all wrapped into a delightful little lady!

This is our annual Christmas tree hunt at the Blue Ribbon Farm. We were lucky this year and found the perfect tree standing all by itself waiting for us!

Moore Thanksgiving Fun!

Lots of pictures ahead from a great Thanksgiving Holiday!

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday! The biggest stress is getting all the food on the table at the same time and having it all still be hot. I can handle that kind of stress! We had eleven at our table this year and it was such a fun group. We missed all of our family who couldn't be here and look forward to future fun with them. This is our group from one direction.....

...and this is the group from the other direction. We had delicious food--all the traditional stuff including turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, jello pretzel salad, rolls, cranberry sauce, martinelli's and ??? Did I leave anything out?

Joel and Erin were gracious enough to tackle the dishes! They got a little wet with all the splashing. Just when you think you are done....then everyone wants pie! Oh well, we used paper plates for the pie so that made for easier clean up.

Everyone was pretty wiped out after all the eating and the morning of football. We actually had two big football games with our group. I think we all had a lot of fun--I was totally enjoying it, so much so that I ignored my bad knee and I'm now suffering the consequences of my youthful playing!! I still think it was worth it!

What would a family gathering be without a lot of music? We enjoyed piano and guitar. We heard a lot of original songs on the guitar by Ryan and Todd.

Some of us enjoyed kicking back and reading a good book.

Of course, the Wii was a lot of fun. Even Molly enjoyed it! Besides the Wii, we also played lots of games like Apples to Apples, Balderdash, Ticket to Ride, and Signs--we had so much fun!

Eric chillin' with Daisy. She's our miracle cat. She lived through her blood clot, but is handicapped. She doesn't have complete use of her back legs so she gets around by walking on the tops of her back feet. Someday I'll have to post a video of her walking--it's pretty amazing.

The girls are ready to go Shopping!!

We had an early Christmas for a couple of our couples! The rest of the family will get their goodies in the mail before too long! Put them under your trees and think of us on Christmas morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving break. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful family full of such wonderful, loving people!

Happy 17th Birthday, ERIC!!!

Our baby boy is 17 years old today! It truly is unbelievable how quickly these years have flown by. What a darling little boy he was and what a wonderful young man Eric has become. We are so happy he is in our family!

Little Eric all grown up!

First day of school, Junior year, Niwot High School. It's hard to imagine that he has less than two years at home before he's off on his own. He and Hannah were always referred to as "the little kids" and now they are both in high school! Happy Birthday, Eric! We Love You!

Fall Concert October 15, 2008

Eric and Hannah are both in choir. Hannah had an outstanding solo. It was with another girl, but they literally sounded like one voice. For some reason the video and sound don't match up sometimes, probably because we took the video on a digital camera. It really is just the two girls singing even though it sounds like the whole choir. It's pretty incredible and it's in Hebrew!

Eric's in Chamber Singers and Evenstar and they were amazing too! These kids really enjoy music and it's lots of fun to watch them having fun.



Me and my friends have a tradition that after all of our concerts, we go to Chipotle. I took some kickin' rad shots with my new camera!
It was also sad because usually the whole choir goes, but only like 10 came this time... Oh well

Moore Fun in Utah--September 2008

I got to take a little weekend trip to Utah to see some of our kids. I arrived in Salt Lake on Wednesday afternoon and Kendi, Carter, and Bess picked me up! It was so fun to see those sweet, happy, loving children again!!
Carter and Bess are adorable together. They play and laugh and entertain each other so well!

What a couple of darling kids! It was fun visiting with Kendi and Glen too! They have such a warm and friendly home and there's a lot of love there.

Thursday night I got to stay with Tyler and Jaimee in their new apartment in West Jordan. They live really close to the Jordan River Temple. It's a great location and they have made it very homey and adorable with all of their cute decor. I didn't get pictures of Justin's place, but he lives in Draper with a few other guys in a nice home in a family neighborhood. It seems to be a really great location too. We had a lot of fun visiting and eating out at the Texas Roadhouse! Did you know you can get a great meal there for under $10???

Friday night Tyler, Jaimee, and I headed up to Logan to meet up with Ryan, Ali, and Todd. We celebrated Todd's birthday by eating at Costa Vida (just like Cafe Rio--yum!) and then we had a delicious birthday cake that Ali made for Todd. We played Apples to Apples and laughed our heads off! It was a lot of fun. The next few pictures are at Ryan and Ali's cute place.
We got to see Brandon, Amanda, and Nicolas Brady while we were there too. It was our first time seeing Nicolas since he came back from his mission. He looked so great!

The two returned missionaries. They both seem to be adjusting back to "real" life quite well.

Todd's 22nd birthday!

Todd is dating a very nice girl from eastern Oregon. Her name is Kimiko. We had fun getting to know her better. They make a cute couple.

Justin joined us on Saturday for a fun day together. The weather was perfect--in fact, it was hot! The kids had a game of ultimate frisbee and were all sweating like crazy. I decided to be the photographer and sit the game out so that I wouldn't pass out from the heat.



It was a fun day. Jaimee, Ali, and I went to the RS Broadcast. It was really great. We especially liked President Uchtdorf's talk! It was fun to see everyone's homes. Ryan and Ali's first little basement apartment is perfect! They have done a great job of making it just right. They got a lot of really nice wedding presents and have bought a few extra things to make things awesome. Todd is living in a house in the "island." It is being remodeled so it is very nice too. I think all the kids are blessed to have quite nice places to live. I'm so glad that I got to go over and spend time with them so now when I talk to them, I can picture where they are and what they are doing! Thanks all of you for a great time!

Niwot High School Homecoming 2008

Eric and Nick Jones took these lovely girls (Karli and Jayci) to the Niwot Homecoming Dance this year. They all looked very nice and had a really fun time. They went to Sakura's for Sushi for dinner. Yummy! Nick and Eric look like twin dressers, but actually Eric's tie is silver and Nick's is lavender. They have been buddies since they were little kids and it's fun to see them grown up and going to dances (with girls!!!) !



Hannah decided to get a couple of friends (Emma and Rachel) together and go to the dance with them. They came over to our house and got all pretty and then went to Noodles for dinner. They enjoyed the evening very much.

Moore Fun at Ryan and Ali's Colorado Open House!

The wedding festivities have finally come to a close for Ryan and Ali. We had the last big bash here at our home in Longmont on Saturday, August 30th. The weather held out and it was a beautiful evening! We held it in our backyard and with the help of many loved ones and dear friends we transformed the yard into a lovely reception garden! This is Ali's cousin's little daughter Chloe. She was adorable and absolutely loved our pets!

I've been accused in the past of being the twinkle light queen (goes back to my YW days)! I must say you can never have enough twinkle!

For the food, we did some of Ryan and Ali's favorite treats. Ryan wanted Chocolate Chip Cookies and milk! Ali suggested Cheese Balls with crackers, little cheesecakes, and fresh fruit! It was all very yummy and beautifully presented!

We were blessed to have my mom join us for the weekend. She enjoyed seeing family and old friends very much.

Eric and Hannah are always a nice addition to any party! They are so helpful and fun to be with.


We had some out of town guests--here are Mikes brother David's daughter, Erin Moore, and her boyfriend, Eric Williams.

Well, after all is said and done, I think we all done good!! Ryan and Ali are off to a wonderful start and we've made some great new friends! Ali's parents and family are awesome people and we look forward to some great times with them in the future!
