BABY BURCHAM IS A...................

BOY!!!! Matt and I found out Wednesday that we are having a little boy! We ar both very excited. Matt had thought is was going to be a girl and I thought it was going to be a boy-I won the bet! I always thought I would have girls-I guess God wanted me to have a boy!

I am excited now to get started on the nursery and picking out a name! I will hopefully post some more pics of the belly and other updates of our lives soon!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and was able to remember all the wonderful blessings that God has given each one of us!

My Growing Belly

16 weeks
18 weeks

My belly has finally started to grow-it seemed like it took forever! I hope you can tell, I may need to wear a tighter shirt, so that it really shows up! But, this week, it really seemed to have popped out, so I will have to get my wonderful photographer Matty to take another pic-I am 19 weeks.

We are so anxious to find out if Baby Burcham is a boy or girl-we have our ultrasound next Wednesday. Matt thinks it is a girl and I think it is a boy-we will soon find out which one of us guessed it correct!

Other than that, pregnancy doesn't seem too bad-the mood swings I can live without, but at least I am not sick! We will see if I am this energetic about it in another month!!!

Alright, I hope everyone is doing well!!

Go Broncos!

We had our first snow on Sunday-which by now it has already melted! It is actually not too bad when it snows here, because usually the next day it is sunny and warmer. Sunday was also my first Bronco game! Matt has been to tons of games, but I had not been to one! So, we had tickets-7th row on the 5oyard line for Sunday's game! It was so much fun. The energy and the craziness of the fans is so much fun! I had always heard it was so loud in there-and it really was! It was a lot of fun-not to mention they won the game!

Also, GO ROCKIES! We are so excited that our Rockies are in the World Series-this city is enjoying it also! We tried to get tickets today-but that was a joke-it was so unorganized. Maybe we will have to just have a party at home!

I am feeling good with my pregnancy-just hoping to start showing soon! I am also anxious to find out if it is a boy or girl-we find out in less than a month!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Sweet little heartbeat

A week ago we went to an appointment and it was the first time that we got to hear the little heartbeat-it is the most amazing thing! I can't believe how surreal this whole pregnancy thing feels--it is so amazing how God designed it to work so perfectly.
Other than that, I am feeling good-I am now in my 2nd trimester and starting to have more energy-and more of an appetite. I am also really anxious to start wearing maternity clothes and start having a visible belly!

We have been enjoying the fall weather and enjoying the sports teams around here-CU has been doing well..and the Rockies will hopefully make it to the World Series-Matty and I are hoping to get some tickets if they do--how cool would that be! And, hopefully the Broncos season will turn around!

Other than that, I dropped my camera and it broke, so this weekend I will get a new one and hopefully post some pics soon!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

A little late

Em and Shan

Matt started the fires

The guys

This one turned out a bit too dark-but it is the only pic of all of us

So, I am a bit late on posting pics from Labor Day--but at least I have a new post! We ended up spontaneously going camping with 5 other people in the mtns Sunday and Monday. We were able to have a campfire-the last 2 yrs there have been fire bans-so we were happy to have one. We had a great time, talking, singing old hymns...it was fun and it was beautiful. It did get a bit cold at night, but not too bad! I think that we are going to start camping more often with this group of people-we live too close to the mtns not to take advantage of the awesome camping spots!!

More recently, Matt and I have been enjoying the football season, both college and NFL! We both love this time of year! Matt is playing on a fall softball league-and busy with work and church. I am working on getting curtains in my house--it is harder than I thought to pick out fabric, it is hard to decide! I am also hoping to start teaching Sunday school soon.

My sister was in town this past weekend for a conference, it was great to spend time with her-she is about 6 months preganant with her second...and unlike me, she definitely has a belly-she looks cute though!!

I am starting to have a bit more energy and I have one week left and I will be in my second trimester, I am ready for that!!! I also can't wait to actually be showing, right now it is sometimes still hard to believe I am pregnant, but I am sure the belly will come soon enough!!

Well, that is what is going on with us!

8 Positive Tests

Yeah, that is right! I took 8 at home pregnancy tests because I couldn't believe that I was pregnant! It happened very fast for us, which I am thankful about. I guess that it really is in God's timing. So, for those of you you who don't know yet, Matt and I are expecting our first baby on April 8th!
Matt and I have been married for 6 years, and I can't have imagined not having that time with just him, but now it is time to add to our family!
So, I am about 9 weeks prego-feeling pretty good, just extra tired. I also have developed weird food aversions the last couple of days and all I seem to be able to eat is peanut butter and jelly and fruit-I hope I can eat other foods again soon!
So, I will definitely try to post updates...and for all you girls that have been throught his before, I would love any advice you have!! Please keep us all in your prayers! Love you!

CANADA!

A few weeks ago, Matt and I took a trip with his mom and dad to Alberta, Canada-Jasper and Banff. It is a beautiful country. I didn't know if it would be that different from our Rocky Mtns in Colorado, but it was. They have different shapes to their mtns..and they have more moisture. We did a lot of hiking. We went to the Athabasca Glacier and rode a snow cat on top of it, it was very beautiful and cold! We went hiking at Lake Louise and Lake Morraine-which are lakes nestled in the mountians that have a beautiful teal color to them that is a result of the run off from the glaciers. It was a quick trip, but we fit a lot in during the short time. It was also fun to just be with Matt's parents, considering when we are with his family we have to share them with about 12 other people!

The good old days of Highschool

Jenny, Kelly, Jonna
My Best Friend, Jenny

This past weekend was my 10 year high school reunion. It was such a trip down memory lane, so many memories came back to me that I had not thought of in..probably 10 years. It was great to see some old friends and catch up-but it also made me glad to not be in high school anymore!

I only got a picture of my mom this visit!
I also had a chance to see my family since they still live in the good old Geneseo! I went to the John Deere Golf Classic, which was fun. I also got to see lots of corn, which was a huge part of my growing up since I detassled, rogued, thinned and hand pollunated corn for 5 summers-I am not sure I really miss that. However, I love to eat the sweet corn and I enjoyed tons of my favorite sweet corn "peaches and cream" I also got to see lightning bugs, which amaze me..these are some of my favorite things about the Midwest that I miss now that I am in Colorado. Needless to say, I was happy to get back home to my life in Colorado with my sweet husband Matty.

June 23, 2001

Bill Cosby before the game

So much red and white-St. Louis is true baseball town-so many fans!

Pujols and Spiezio at bat

June 23, 2001, is the date that Matt and I got married. I cannot believe it has been 6 years! We have had such an incredible marriage-and I believe that we owe it to God-having a firm foundation and relationship with God, has made our marriage so blessed. We actually met over 9 years ago at Harding-started out as "just friends", then dated, broke up..all that fun dating drama-then we just knew we were best friends, were in love with each other and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together--and so we got married.

So, we celebrated our anniversary weekend in St. Louis-I know it is no Hawaii or Mexico--but, it was special to us. Matt has loved the Cardinals since he was a little boy-and I have liked them since I was a little girl, but I become more of a fan when I met Matt-so baseball (along with other sports) has been a huge part of our lives. So-Matt's uncle, who lives in St. Louis, hooked us up with 3rd row seats between the Cardinals dugout and home plate--it was totally sweet! We were so close and in the middle of all the action! We also got free food and drinks before and during the game-it was great! And-to top it off-they won!!! It was an incredible game--also hot and humid, which was perfect-I have to admit since I am a Midwest/Southern girl at heart, I miss those hot and humid days now that I live in Colorado!!

John (Johnny) Mayer

A few weeks ago, Matt and I went to see John Mayer perform at Red Rocks. Matt and I fell in love with him about the time we got married--6 years ago this past Saturday June 23rd! We love his lyrics and his ability to jam on his guitar-he is so musically talented. If you have never seen him perform live--you should--he is one of the few artists that we know of that actually performs live as good as his soundtracks, if not better. Of course- Red Rocks is an amazing venue to see a show--and someone as talented as him--made it even more incredible.

LOGAN

Matt's oldest brother has four kids-and this little guy is the youngest, his name is Logan. He is the sweetest little boy-and for some reason I seem to have the most pictures of him, I will have to post about the other three soon. He actually could pass for Matt's kid-those Burchams look so much alike anyways. I will hopefully have more exciting things to post about in the next few weeks-we are going to a John Mayer Concert this weekend-and then we are also going to a St Louis Cardinals game for our anniversary--in St. Louis, third row! I will try to keep up with all you other bloggers!!!

Our Little Mark

Well, it has been a crazy month and I really have not taken many pictures, it does seem as though we have had a lot of family events, mother's day, memorial day...and the youngest Burcham brother's 20th birthday! He turned 20 on May 30th and just finished his first year at Pepperdine University-and will spend next year in Europe-oh, to be young and 20 again!! He is an amazing person-he has more wisdom at his age than the other four brothers combined at his age. He is so sweet and will make an awesome christian husband someday! I love him..I think no matter how old he gets, he will always be little Mark to us!

MY HARDING GIRLS

I finally made a trip to Nashville to see some of my college girlfriends. It has almost been 6 years since I have seen some of them, but it felt as though no time had gone by. We are like sisters, and I am so thankful and blessed I went to Harding and made such amazing Christian friendships that will last a lifetime. I was sad to leave, I miss the girls!!

THE TIN ROOF II- We had a fun time and made some fun memories at the Tin Roof...hey, where is Natalie in this picture???

JENNY

This is my best friend Jenny. She and I have been friends since grade school. We have been through so many amazing things together in our lives as we have grown up-the joyful times and the sad times. We both went away to different colleges and now I am in Denver and she is in Chicago-but that still hasn't kept us from being best friends. We always pick up right where we left on and can talk for hours on the phone! Life wouldn't be the same if I didn't have my best friend Jenny with me! I do wish we lived closer, maybe someday!!!

Night and Day

This is my older sister Jenn. We are as different as night and day in our looks-and even in our personalities. However, we are close and as we have gotten older we have become not just sisters, but best friends. She lives in Illinois, so I miss getting to see her all the time--but thank goodness for email and phones! And, we make the attempt to see each other at least 3 times a year! She came to visit me as a suprise for my birthday in February-and she came all by herself! As much as I wanted to see my little neice Emalee--it was nice to have her all to myself!

I will get to see all of them for Easter!

Aunt KK

It has been a long time since I have posted anything. I didn't know what to post for awhile..we have been busy with the holidays, work, ski trips etc. And, not to mention celebrating a birthday!! We have had about 60 inches of snow already this season-I think snow is beautiful, but I am ready for spring now!! At least it makes skiing great and the view of the mtns is beautiful.

I have posted a picture of my sister's little girl, her name is Emalee Rebecca and she is the sweetest little girl ever, at least in my opinion! She is growing up so fast, she will be 2 in March and I can hardly believe it! She calls me Aunt KK-it is so cute to hear her little voice say that!

I am going to try to post more often! Love you all!
