Where we can again get something out of church. At least part of it because this big boy is the newest nursery goer. YAY!

Colton's Mischievousness

So for some reason we've been storing the toilet paper and paper towels in the kids room. We have hardly any closets downstairs and it's just been the most convenient place. Anyway one afternoon after we had been cleaning Matt put an almost full roll of paper towels on top of the ones wrapped up. Colton took an extra long "nap" that day. Although we aren't quite sure he got much sleep. Oops!

Not only did he unravel the whole roll he shredded it. 

He's a master at getting into things he shouldn't. He definitely keeps us on our toes.

Christmas

 We had such a great Christmas. It was so nice to just stay home and not have the stress of winter traveling. 

 Christmas Eve we enjoyed going to the lighting of the Christmas tree in Colonial Williamsburg

Not sure if this is before breakfast or after. The boy has only one thing on his mind constantly... food. He's not a happy camper unless his tummy is full.

I felt very blessed on Christmas morning with having a healthy and happy family, having a loving Savoir who I am very grateful for, getting more presents than we deserved, living in a time where we can see our family even though we live so far away, and realizing that this was our last Christmas being so far away :) We are so blessed!

1st Hair Cut

Colton finally got his first hair cut. I've been trying to talk Matt into cutting in for a while but he was too worried that it would look funny and that Colton wouldn't let us do it anyway. But finally we did it and now he looks like such a big boy. He was actually really good and didn't mind the clippers at all. I gave him a sucker and he was as happy as a clam to sit there.

ZOO!

I think we went to the zoo on the hottest day of the summer. It was hot but fun none the less. The kids loved looking at all the animals.

Best exhibit, we could have stayed and watched the polar bear forever.

9 months

In a few days Colton will be 9 months old. It's crazy how slow pregnancy goes and then as soon as the baby is born the next 9 months fly by. They go from:

We sure love our "buddy boy" as Karlee calls him. My good friend Sarah took these cute pictures of Colton...including the new born one. They turned out so cute!

Visitors!

We love when we have visitors! A couple of weeks ago my parents and grandma were in town for about 10 days. It was fun to have them here. My grandma had never been out here or to DC so we did all the touristy things like Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Yankee Candle, Mount Vernon, Temple, went to see the cherry blossoms in DC, etc. etc. It was eventful and fun and now I feel like I have the boost to get through finals being a single parent.

My grandma's main request was to visit the temple. I absolutely love the DC temple. It's so BIG and so pretty!

We celebrated my dad's birthday. By trying out one of the 50 pancake houses in Williamsburg. It didn't disappoint. Glad we chose a good one. We also went to Yorktown and Bonefish Grill.

 

He got a suit case so he can be a frequent traveler like my mom :)

Fun time was had by all of us. We were glad that they got to come and spend some time with us. It was also fun to have my grandma here!

Colton at 6 months

This little boy is almost 6 months

Where has the time gone. I LOVE the age Colton is right now. It's one of my favorite stages. He is the happiest baby ever. Every time I go to the gym they always tell me how much they love Colton because he's just happy. Happy when they hold him, happy when they aren't. That is the way he is at home too most of the time. He's perfectly content laying on the floor or in his bouncer. He gets very excited when anyone walks into the room and makes eye contact with him and if he does you better not leave the room. We love him so much!
A few things about Colton

• He spits up...A LOT (we hope it ends soon)
• He gets excited when we put him in his high chair to eat. He loves carrots, and hates green beans.
• He hardly ever cries
• He's been sleeping through the night since 2 months but this last month he decided that was over rated. (we hope this will also end soon)
• He loves to bounce. He won't just stand up on your lap, he's always jumping. 
• He sits up 
• He rolls. Which I think partially contributes to him waking up at night. He can't always get back over and he doesn't like that. 
• He loves Karlee! When he cries we tell Karlee to go jump for him. It makes him smile every time. 
• He's a momma's boy
• He loves baths
• He's a busy body. He can't just hold still and sit on your lap. He's always reaching, grabbing, trying to roll off, etc.
• He loves when people say "BOO" to him. He will laugh every time. Even if he can't see you. He thinks it's hilarious. (Maybe because that's what Karlee says to him all day long)
• When he's tired he likes to sit on one of our laps and we'll say "hugs" and he'll dive his head into our chests. He'll do it over and over. It's his way of cuddling I suppose.
