In a few days Colton will be 9 months old. It's crazy how slow pregnancy goes and then as soon as the baby is born the next 9 months fly by. They go from:
to this: (He's really 8 months in the pictures, but close enough)
We sure love our "buddy boy" as Karlee calls him. My good friend Sarah took these cute pictures of Colton...including the new born one. They turned out so cute!

Saying Good Bye
About a year ago we moved into the one of the coveted mormon law school student houses just a couple of blocks from the law school, our neighbors the Allisons lived in the other one right next door. They recently graduated and a few days before we left to come to West Virginia we had a little weenie and marshmallow roast with them to say good bye let the girls play with each other one last time. We are sad that when we get back they are going to be gone. It's always nice having a play mate right next door. Karlee would ask to go to Esme's house multiple times a day. And they sure would have a good time, they were crazy together. We sure are going to miss them!
Columbus
We have been in West Virginia for three weeks now, well kinda, last week we spent the week at my sister Erin's house in Columbus. Lucky for us it's only a little over 3 hour drive from here. Unlucky for us they are moving in two weeks, so I thought we better go out there before they left. Karlee loved having her cousins to play with all day long. And it was nice to hang out with my sister. We played at the park almost every day and ate ice cream cones. It was a nice break for me.
Oh and uncle Lynn painted the little girls finger nails. What a nice uncle and daddy.

Colton spent most of his time on the blanket at the park doing what he does best. Eating.

Visitors!!
Last week we had some visitors! Matt's brother Justin and his wife Megan came to Williamsburg for a few days. It was a blast. Although they probably came at one of the craziest times for us do to moving the same day they left it was nice to take a couple days off of the craziness and have some fun. We got babysitters and went to Busch Gardens for the day. It was so nice to have no kids and enjoy each other and ride all the rides we wanted to ride and not the kiddy rides. Thanks for the good time!
Thanks for coming guys. We loved it. Come again!!
Now we've had all of my family out and half of Matt's. Not that we're counting or anything, no pressure to the rest.... :)
Playin Catch
Karlee loves to play catch with her daddy. We got her the velcro paddle and ball (not sure what it's called) and she loves it. She's good at catching if you throw it right at her paddle. If not she doesn't realize it because her eyes are closed, then she will tell you that it was a bad throw. I thought these pictures were funny.

Strawberry Pickin'
A couple of weeks ago we went and picked strawberries. It's always a fun time to ride the ferry to Surry and pick strawberries. Karlee was a great picker. She made sure each and every strawberry was perfect, then she would eat it. It was a fun time!
On the way to picking strawberries I told Karlee that we were going to ride the fairy. She was really excited..until we actually got to the ferry. Then she was a little concerned that we were driving on it with our car and kept asking but where is the fairy? I told her we were on it and she was concerned that we were going to squish it. I then had to explain to her that there are more than one type of ferry. There is the boat type of ferry and the tinker bell type of fairy :)

After
getting home from picking the strawberries I thought that maybe I
should make some strawberry short cake. She was really excited. Well
when it
was done I put hers together and she looked at it a little confused and
said, "But mommy, where is her head?" It was then that I realized she
thought I was talking about the girl not the treat. She was a little sad.
