Blueberry Pickin'

The weather here has been so HOT! Being 7 months pregnant doesn't help I'm sure. But there are so many fun things to do around here..all being outside, so we've been braving the heat and humidity. The other day we went with a friend to pick blueberries. Karlee thought it was great. She loves Strawberry Short Cake and so she was excite to go to blueberry land, I think she thought we were going to see Strawberry Short Cake there, but she wasn't there.
Karlee started picking the unripe ones because they were pink and purple, until she decided to try one and didn't like it. Then she did good with only picking the blue ones.

To get to the farm where the berries were we got to ride the ferry. Karlee thought that was pretty cool. It was fun but so so hot!

Teeth Cleaning

A lady in our ward is a dental hygiene teacher at the community college here. Her students needed to learn how to clean kids teeth so she asked if Karlee would be a patient. Matt and I actually both got to get our teeth cleaned too a couple of weeks before Karlee so she was so excited to go. But when we got there she got shy and didn't want to sit in the chair or open her mouth or anything. Finally after a while she warmed up and would let the girl look at her teeth because I told her I would take a picture. She loves to pose for the camera so she thought that was great.  As long as I was taking a picture she would do whatever the student needed her to do.

After she told me how fun it was! She thought it was great. I'm just glad she cooperated.

Motab Flash Mob

We got to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir today at Colonial Williamsbug, flash mob style. It was pretty cool. I happened to be wearing a BYU shirt and got to meet a lot of the members of the choir because of it. As we were walking around they would stop and talk to us because they knew we were mormon.

It's kinda a long video. They finally start singing about 3 1/2 minutes in.

Nap Time Fun!

Yesterday during nap time Karlee had lots of fun. I was exhausted so I decided I was going to take a nap. Sometimes Karlee will nap and sometimes she wont but she is good about staying in her room for the most part. Well I fell asleep on the couch down stairs and woke up to "mommy I need to go potty". So I said ok go into the bathroom and go. She said "no, I already did". I thought oh great...I really hope she just peed her pants. I go up stairs and she's standing at the top with her hands covered in poop.
I threw her in the shower and then went into her room to find this lovely mess....
She had covered all of her "friends" with poop. I'm not sure how long she was in there playing with it, but it sure looked like she was having fun! The joys of motherhood!

(I had to take pictures so Matt could see what he missed out on)

Poser

The other day I was sitting on the couch and Karlee came up to me and said mommy, take my picture and brought me the camera. So I did. She was full of all sorts of poses. I didn't tell her to do any of them. She just kept posing.

Then she wanted me to join her. I tried to get one of both of us smiling. But she kept pulling funny faces. This is the best we got.

Utah...Bradshaw Edition

We were so excited that we were able to get together with all of Matt's family while we were in Utah. We went up to Escala in Park City. It was so fun to spend time together. Karlee loved playing with all of her cousins.
All of the cute Bradshaw cousins.

We went bowling while there. It was so fun. We didn't pay to have Karlee bowl because we weren't too sure how much she'd like it. Well I ended up not bowling because she loved it. She had a hard time waiting for her turn.
I think this is the only picture we have of Matt with all his siblings.
Grandma and Grandpa join the cheering section

Karlee wouldn't ever look at the camera and smile....Ellie on the other hand was full of smiles.

Grandma letting Karlee take her turn

Trying to see how many people we could squeeze into the elevator. This was about half of the bunch.

We celebrated Tora's birthday!

It snowed every day were in up there except one. We took full advantage and spent a few hours swimming.
Matt and his brothers

Matt and Justin had a great idea and decided to do belly flops. Neither thought it would hurt too bad. Danny was the smart one and opted out. Both wished they would have done the same.

Karlee learned to love the water while we were there. She was very hesitant at first but warmed up to it. Last summer we couldn't get her in the water, so we're glad things have changed.
It was so nice to spend time with our families. We miss them all so much. Karlee has been talking non stop about her cousins and she pretends that she's playing with them or talking to them on the phone.
