CELEBRATE
{ GROWING ONE }
We had a quiet Sunday afternoon with the family celebrating Sydney's Birthday.....

We decorated a little while she napped

We had a wishing tree for Syd.  We all wrote things on these "wish" tags and hung them on our wishing tree.  I may have put something on there about her sleeping habits.....  but she was also wished lots of love, health, happiness, and laughter.

Then we have her, her gifts.  We got her a little buggy.....

Oops-a-daisy.  We tightened the wheels up a bit for her so we won't have any more of this.

Then some carrot-cake cupcakes.

She devoured the frosting and played with the cupcake.

delicious.

{ THE fair..... }

Yep.  We went to the fair this year.  I don't really care for the gaggles of people and creepy carney workers, but I do have a soft spot for the fair.  I spent many of summers at the fair growing up, either showing sheep (yes, its true), or working in the parking fields for some extra summer cash.  It brings back lots of memories  walking through the sheep barns seeing sheep being sheared, showed, or ready to show in their white covers. All the sounds of the sheep in the barn brings me right back to the good old days of the Craven Critters and "go" buttons!
However, we spent most of our day at the kiddie rides and then watched some wood cutting contests and log rolling, which was very fun to see.  Those guys are amazing.  We even tried a deep fried tweenkie (not that great)!
Here some pictues of some of the fun we had.

{the carousel.....  always a favorite}

{tea-cups, the cutest ride! Thats some good crazy hair Addie has going on.}

{SWINGS.  I have never seen kiddie swings, pretty fun!}

{cars}

{the SLIDE.  This is photo 1 of nervous Nelly, aka, Grace.}

{photo 2 of nervous Nelly.  She is quite the worrier.  This one was a doozy.  The wobbly bridge, and it was extremely HIGH!  Poor sweet Grace.  But she finished and then wanted to do it again!}

{PIGGY PIGGY}  Grace hopped right in to pet this huge pig!

and this is what Addie thought about the whole situation in the pig barn.  This kid has the best little sniffer on her.  Beware :)

{gotta have at least one of these}

{Sweet Syd spent most of her time snoozing or munching on her asian pear.  She was quite the trooper and very fascinated by the animals.}
