{ Addie's big thumb }

Birthday party number 2 was just as fun I'm sure, it just ended a little differently.  I got a phone call from the Birthday girls mom telling me Addie cut her thumb on a broken mirror.  I took her into the doc. and lots of tears and 2 stitches later she was good to go.  Poor thing was crying for her daddy when they had to numb her thumb, I was so sad for her.  It is funny to see this little girl sporting this huge thumb!

{ summer? }

Summer where are you?  The girls are dying to play outside and swim- we are just waiting on that sunshine.  So what to you do in Seattle when it is 65 degrees out and your kids are dying to go to the sprinkler park?

{ party, party }

Addison went to a couple Birthdays parties this weekend.  The first one was for her "best friend" Halli and I got to take pictures for her mom.  It was such a cute party and a beautiful day that I couldn't help post a couple pictures.

{ dancing machines }

Grace and Addison had their dance recital a couple weekends ago and it was very exciting.  We were a little worried about Addison because she gets a little shy in front of people.  I was going to be thrilled if she made it through without crying on stage.  But she impressed both Jonathan and I by doing her whole routine with a smile on her face.  Grace did fantastic as well, but we knew she would.  Her class was a little chaotic, but that's what you get when you throw 2 classes on stage together without ever practicing.  Besides and emergency trip to the bathrooms to rinse out Addie's costume (maybe she was a little nervous, or just tired of waiting in line) I didn't sweat too much!!  I have a few pics from the recital but none of Grace's turned out.  If you want to see more pics. you can look here on pages 22-25.  If anyone wants a DVD of their performance I can order you one for $30. (that's not a typo)

Addie is the second umbrella in from the right- if that helps any : )

They both had the same costume!

{ mulkiteo beach field trip }

Grace's class had a field trip to one of our local "beaches" ( I use that term lightly, no sand, no sunscreen, no swimsuits......). They had fun just trying to walk along the slippery rocks, but also got to see a few sea creatures. The highlight for Grace was getting her face painted, a first for her!
