This is the card that I was thinking about sending, it truly describes how this day went. NO cooperation from our children at all! Grace would not look at the camera, Addison would not hold still, and Jonathan and I tried to smile {I think}! Merry Christmas everyone!Thursday, December 25, 2008

{SNOWMAN}
Grace wanted to build a snowman. I built the snowman while her and Addie did a lot of this.....

It just so happened that the snowman turned out to be just Addie's size and she was thrilled. I kept catching her "eating" him. She didn't have to bend over anymore to eat snow, she would just take a bite out of Frosty. Once we got his face on him she thought that was even better, he was her little buddy.

{G-R-A-C-E}
{sledding..... with a real sled!}
Grace was little miss giggle pants. She would just giggle
the whole way down the hill, it was so funny.

more giggling........ and sledding.
Our friends were nice enough to share some sleds with us, we had a lot of fun!
Once Grace went on a real sled she ditched her cardboard box she once loved!

A little more snow......
{One little snow angel}

{Can't eat enough of that snow!}

{The cardboard sled!} Leave it to the Bennett's to wait until the last minute to get a sled and then hunt all over for one, only to find that they are all sold out, everywhere! I felt like a bad mom, but then after a few trips in the cardboard sled Grace asked if we could buy this sled!! She thought it was the best sled ever! {It actually couldn't have been a better "box", it was just their size!}

LIGHTS
{Santy Claus}

Priceless. Her expression says it all! I guess the idea of Santa is better than actually meeting him! I wish you could see the expression on my face! After waiting in a ridiculously long line to see this fella, this is what I got. She didn't say a word. She started sucking on her fingers like it was some traumatizing experience. She is a funny little girl!

{tu-tu for Gracie boo}
I wanted to make the girls tu-tu's for Christmas, but I realized that trying to make them without Grace seeing was next to impossible. She would ask me every 30 seconds if it was done yet {and it took me 2 days to make}. She knew exactly what it was going to be when she saw the material! So I finished it and let her wear it, first she wanted to wear it with nothing else {nude}, but then quickly remembered that Barbie as a ballerina wore her leotard and ballet shoes. So this is her new ensemble.

Here she is showing me what she has learned in dance class.

Almost 2!
{Almost 2 Attitude}~Lets me know when she does not like something, "I don't like it, mommy". On more than one occasion{okay, almost every day laetely} I'm pretty sure she says to me, "I don't like you!" In fact I'm 99.9% sure that is what she is saying to me, it is always when she is mad at me or doesn't get her way. Stinker!
~Everywhere I go I get some sort of comment about how wiggly she is, she isn't like this at home, but as soon as we get into a public place she acts like a monkey! She drives me nuts.
~When I tell her it is nap time, she growls and says "Uh-uh, I want to play"
~When we say prayer at night she folds her arms and starts to mumble her own little prayer, I usually just hear something that resembles Heavenly Father, followed by sweet mumbling.
~Sometimes she will get right in Jonathan or my face and start whispering in her sweet little voice a bunch of words we can't really understand, and then when she is done she looks at us seriously and says "okay?" We just agree with her.
~"ohhhhhha" her favorite thing to say when she doesn't get the answer she is looking for. It is so funny coming out of her because it is so well practiced like she has been disappointed for so many years!
~loves to sing. She sings Jingle Bells and sounds very close to the real song. "Jingle bells, jingle bells, {in a lower voice} away".
~Loves to watch Barbie movies! {what happened to Winnie the pooh and woody?}
~probably my favorite thing about her is her giggle. It is the cutest thing I have ever heard!
I saw Santa?
We went to see Santa "fly" in from the North Pole with about a bazillion other people. I hate crowds, so it was not really my idea of fun. Then Santa climbed on the roof and hopped in his sleigh {see picture below} and flew about 20 feet before coming to sudden end to his cable and into the middle of the crowd. That was about all. If the kettle corn would have been good, then maybe I would have enjoyed it more. I think Grace liked it, but I think we will have to take her to see Santa up close this year so she can tell him everything she wants for Christmas, {that may take a while.}
This is what happens when you are holding a child and experimenting with your camera {or should I say, don't know what you are doing with your camera!}

{for my entertainment}
When we left for Oregon they were cutting trees down and I thought we had missed all the excitement, but when I woke up Monday morning I heard a chainsaw. I looked out my window and this is what I saw. I didn't think they would be so close to us, but it was a lot of fun to watch this guy cut down a tree instead of clean my house.

Turkey Day
Here are a couple pictures from our trip to Oregon. We had lots of fun playing with cousins, and spending time with family. Thank you Kennedy for spending soooo much time with my girls, they sure love you!

The girl cousins had a lot of fun together. Peyton was so fun to watch, she was on the move every second. {That is Addison's new smile when she sees the camera, great!!}

Jonathan was in heaven in there, he gets so happy in that store, it is funny to watch him. I don't think he was too excited to get back in the car because he had just declared moments before we parked that he was "legally retarded" {not sure what that means}. I think he was getting frustrated driving, but I got a kick out of it!
