Football and......

Last week the girls and I went to my nephew's football game. Jeff was team captain, blocked a kick, and had some mean defense! While my sis and I attempted to watch the game {we were sitting right behind the sidelines and our view was mostly of their buns....}, the cousins enjoyed frolicking around in the cold! Go #90!

Last week we also saw this

and found this...
I guess I don't get out much, this was in a local supermarket! It was huge, there was candy everywhere, and there was a train that the girls thought was so cool! Now I know where to take them for a little sugar high!

Smells like roast chicken??

Besides talking non-stop, this little girls says some funny stuff. I was changing Addison's diaper and Grace crinkled her nose and said, "it smells like roast chicken!" I don't know where she got that. Now every time I open the fridge or she smells something not so pleasant she says she smells roast chicken!?? Is this weird?
This little girl also throws some pretty awesome tantrums. When she is sad or mad she all of the sudden can't walk. If I tell her to go to time out she says she can't because her legs don't work. This never fails, she did this last night in her room when she didn't get her way and all of the sudden couldn't even use her legs to stand up and get in bed!! I don't know if crying somehow brings on instant paralysis of the legs or what! Sometimes its funny, but usually it just makes me more mad!
Grace always says something interesting in her prayers, but one funny thing she said one night was to "bless daddy and Richard that they go shooting". Jonathan doesn't have a friend named 'Richard', he just gives that name to friends he hangs out with and now I guess Grace thinks his name is 'Richard'!

Pumpkin Patch

We had a good old time at Craven's farm this year. The highlights of the day were: wheelbarrow rides from dad, the pumpkin slingshot, definitely the kettle corn, watching people's faces as they looked at our friends enormous pumpkin, their faces when they saw the price of their enormous pumpkin, and Jonathan's face when he found his perfect "warty" pumpkin {it's gotta have character}.

scrapbook pages

I know, I have already posted most of these pictures, but I just found these cute pages to put them in. Sorry if this is picture overload of my girls!

Good Conversation

We sat down for dinner and I had forgotten the girls spoons. Jonathan got up and got them and gave Grace her spoon, a couple seconds later Grace says "damn mom". Jonathan and I looked at each other and I asked her what she just said and she repeated the same thing with a smile. I told her that was a naughty word and that we don't say that. I then asked her if she heard mom or dad say that and she said no {I was totally expecting her to say yes}. So I asked her where she heard that and she said "Markus". The only Markus we know is Jonathan's brother and the last time we saw him was in June. I'm sure I am the guilty one she heard it from, but I will let Uncle Mark take the fall this time.
A little bit later Jonathan was having problems with the computer and the girls were sitting by him and he commented that the computer kept "crapping out". Without missing a beat Grace says "no, Addie crapped herself."
I may not be doing everything right as a parent but at least I'm teaching Grace how to talk like a lady. :)

Exercising Grace?

I found this old video of Grace the other day, and it made me laugh really hard. Watch closely. She was totally entertained by this very OLD lady. Evidently she comes on in the morning after cartoons, and let me tell you, she is something. Anyway, I hope this gives you a giggle.

Grace & Addison

I wanted to get out and get some good pictures of the girls before the weather turned to rain every day. So here is my attempt at capturing their little personatlities. Try as I may, I cannot get a picture of the two together looking at me. I did manage to get one of them fighting (how odd), but I think I will need my helper Jonathan to pull that off. So here are some of the girls by themselves!
