Well it has been a crazy summer.

June came an went with a bang.  It was wedding prep, Junior Olympic qualifiers and my Dad coming to visit all in one. We were crazy with water polo, Rick stepped up and took the assistant coaching position for Emma's High school team. I was crafting and going insane with the things for Megan's wedding and tearing apart my craft room to turn it into a guest bedroom.

The same weekend as Megan's wedding was the same weekend as Emma club team qualifying for Junior Olympics.  Luckily everything seemed to go off without a problem.   The team qualified. Megan got married and my Dad made it.  I think he saw more water polo then he ever has in one week. I loved having him here and miss him terribly now.

That was June.  July brought some sadness as me had to put of loved dog down due to heart failure and it was a sad day in the house.  Our other pets were sad also.   We went to a few baseball games, had crazy insane rain.  Junior Olympics came  and we  ran around like crazy people all over Orange County. It was a good weekend.

Throw in some school shopping, Emma getting ready to take her Permit test, Lisa and I deciding to start running together and signing up for races.

And the PUPPY!  We are insane.

School is about to start and we start a new school year with changes and things to come.

Last Day of May 2015

What have I been going?

Working my ass off, LITERALLY.  I know I have moved more then I ever have, period.  Bonus the weight is coming off.  But you know what?  I feel so much better.  There was a week there, I thought I was going to die. Pieces of me hurt so much that there was not a piece that did not hurt.  But I made it through.

There whole family is moving more. Eating better and doing a little better every day.

Still going and more

This week is turned 43.  While that did not stress me out as it has most years, I did take a moment to reflect.

I am in a completely different place then I have been in my head.  That is progress.  That is me being comfortable in my own skin.  I have not been that in years.  It feels good.  It feels right.  It feels, sigh, like a happy place.  Before I would even be freaked to type that.  Why rock the boat? Say it out loud?  Because I can and I am OK with what comes.

Still walking, working out, eating well and just doing a little better everyday.  Still up about 5:15, starting the day in a good place.  There are other doing better then me, but I am OK with that.  I crack up at fitbit challenges and see, well there I am in last place again, but I AM DOING IT.  I am moving, I am eating well, I am good.

I have also had chances to speak my mind to different people and that is wonderful.  I was getting so sick of being quiet when bumping into someone that I had not seen in a while.  Now I just call it like it is.  Oh really, you are going to stop and talk to me, why don't you turn and walk away like you have in the past?  I have even left people standing there with their mouths open.  I don't care.  Done with fake, closed minded people.  DONE.

So I have no idea what year 43 will bring, but I am going to enjoy it.  Watch me.

Killing it this week

This week, Rick and I have been getting up at before the crack of dawn to walk.  I was at a stall in weight loss and I have been working too hard to get this weight off.  So add something new and changed a few eating habits.

Before the crack of dawn I have learned there is always the one old man outside sweeping his entire street, traffic changes if you change by 5 minutes.  You are much hungrier and want to kill someone on day 2 because you don't realize that you need to eat different then you have been eating.

This morning the alarm went off and I turned it off and hit the second alarm.  My body was telling me NO, so I listened.  In the past that would have been a bad thing for my mindset, I failed, I did not get up. But not today.  Listening to my body felt good. A friend reaffirmed it was good and I am in a much better place.  I will get my walk in today, maybe later.  Right now my body is thanking my for it.

Working for something I want, weight loss, to be healthier, seems to be going better this time in general.  It does not feel like a fad, off to find the next best thing.  I am just trying to be a little better every day and not beat myself up for it if it does not go well.

So hear is to listening and feeling good,

Morning walk

When the alarm goes off at 5:15 am and he will get up with you to go on a walk, that is love.  He was tired and even a little bit cranky, but there was not grumbling, he just went.  It was even a bit cold outside.

I am working on getting all of us healthy but I have wanted to walk in the morning for a while.  So this morning I did.  I really did.  I would like to continue to do it and I am sure that I will since it only took a bit to get a mile in.

But I love that he went with me.

There is still a little boy I think of often

I always remember April 16, not because anything tragic happened or that is it is even important to other people.  It is important to my friend.  Some years I am better at remembering then others, acknowledging better then others. But I know that there is someone else that remembers.

But I remember and that is enough.

We miss you.

Sitting on the pool deck as always

I have been sitting on a pool deck for so many years I can smell chorine from a mile away. I can find a pool deck at a school I don't know by looking around and up.

It is now Emma's turn for swim season. While that used to me fun, I have found I enjoy water polo more now. I am sure there are more years to come. But I reflect on all the things that have happened on a pool deck, people we have met and have yet to meet. You can throw a few Olympians in there too.

I laugh because I don't swim, at least not willingly. I don't put my face in the water. We have a pool, yeah not there either.

Rick and I joke, what are we going todo when Emma is done?  Becomes ref's and smile.

Well I have missed this place

Attempting to make a blog come back. Wish me luck!

Two crazy weekends in a row equals a tired mama

Well last weekend was for me.  I worked the scrapbook expo with the gal I like to wok with.  Three days is a little long but it is nice to get out and talk to people.  Breaking down is always long and hard, but this year it was not as bad.  Maybe the gym is paying off after all.

This weekend was a three day water polo tournament.  I always get away feeling like I have played the games cause I am just beat after that.

So I am around just busy.

...She always comes back to get you.  Really.  I am a huge believer in what comes around goes around.  you do good, good comes back to you, you do bad, bad comes back.
It just takes some people longer to understand that.
Sometimes it is fun to sit back and watch, other times it is sad.  Different choices could have produced different results.
SO I really hope you figure it out and wake up.
Karma can be a bitch or really kind.
