Oye Como Va

Guitar recital time again and James has learned so much. I am always impressed by the progress he makes each week.

This time James played Oye Como Va by Santana as a duet with his instructor, Mr. Burkes. The video isn't that great, but it's fun just the same. James did make a little mistake this time, but he takes it in stride and gets right back into the song. (Lord knows I'm not coordinated enough to play this song! Good job, James!!)

Soccer Season

I think the best words to sum up the past soccer season are "thank goodness it is over." I made the (mistake?) decision to coach James' team again (this time all by myself) and I have to say that I am exhausted! However, I did have a good time as coach and enjoyed every single one of the boys on the team.

Even though the experience was a good one, I don't think I will ever coach a soccer team again (not even assistant or co-coach). Instead I will just sit on the sidelines and cheer. Most likely, quite loudly.
