It was a very beautiful daybreak as the sun touched the purple/gray clouds with shades of orange.
About 20 miles from home we saw two deer at the edge of a field.
We stopped at quickly as possible, and when they saw us they scampered away.
St. Dominic's Hospital is one of the first things you see going into Jackson from the north.
Jeep and his good 'HAM' buddy are sharing a little fun!
Here's an idea of what it looks like at HamFest.
Tables are set up all over for people to display equipment, etc. they want to sell.
There are a few tables of things that appeal to the ladies.

Jeep bought a tag with his radio call sign for the front of the van.
By noon we were tired of HamFest and met Jeff and Cheryl at the Cracker Barrel for lunch. Can you tell that Jeff is a 'chip off the old block'?
We drove down I-55 this morning, but came home via the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway.
This was made as we came through French Camp. I like the split rail fence.
They have all kinds of ancient farm equipment in the yards around some of the log buildings. I should mention the the Council House Restaurant here is a wonderful, rustic place to eat!!! We had a very nice day and always enjoy seeing the people we know and meeting new ones. Now we are ready to call it a day!

Sounds like a fun day. The sunrise was gorgeous.Sometimes getting up early is hard but with a sunrise like that it is so worth it.

I enjoyed reading about your day and your pics are great! I love relaxing days! It was the perfect day here, too, for a drive. We drove south to see our grandson play basketball, and the blue skies and sunshine were beautiful. We ate at Cracker Barrel, too!

looks like you and Jeep had another fun day trip..love touring the trace.. have done it in springtime and fall..both times were just gorgeous!! haven't been in a Cracker Barrel in quite awhile..one of these days will do so again when back in the South..love the food!!
