I have always called these Sasanqua Japonica but when I look that up, Google calls them Camellia Sasanqua Japonica.
Either way, they are beautiful when a big bush of them are in full bloom! This one shrub is probably 15-20 feet tall!!!
Alas, my sister is not very mobile at this time, and she has not ventured out in the yard where this is blooming.
Today, I'm thankful for my sisters and that they share the beauty of their yards with me.

Gorgeous flowers. They almost look like roses.
Even if your sister is not mobile, must be some way to see these beauties from a window. Since it is still so hot here, my flowers are getting a second blooming spurt.
Your sister's camellia is gorgeous! I love the color of the flowers.
There are fall blooming camellias around our town right now and they are as pretty as the one you have shown. Hope your sister is up and around soon.
Those flowers are so gorgeous, Dorothy! I enjoyed your pictures.
Gorgeous photos! I just love Camellias! I hope your sister will be able to get out and enjoy them soon also.
Thanks for your comment about our visit with Kay!
