It was good to get outside today and enjoy walking around the yard after a very long and wet winter!
Here comes the kitty cat again. He sneaks up very slowly as if he hopes to surprise one of the birds.
This Goldfinch still has its winter feathers but some of them are already getting their bright yellow ones.
The neighbor's horses were munching their evening meal of hay.
The trees still look like winter but the air felt like Spring. I sat out in the sunshine for a while hoping to see a bird to photograph. The clear blue sky and the warm breeze made me know that it will be Spring very soon. I think we are all ready for it!
As I walked around the yard there were two Robins out by the driveway looking for their next meal.
They paid little attention to me as I tried to get closer to them.

This one was finding some nice worms and bugs.
"Do you have to watch me while I eat?"
One last look over his shoulder and he decided I was getting too close.
"Gotta run"!

These are beautiful reminders of spring to to come.I like the running robin in the last picture.
Blessings,Ruth
I wish I spent the last 8 hours outside photographing little creatures and new buds instead of slaving behind a computer screen.
Great photos! And, yes, isn't it wonderful to see -- finally, even a small promise of spring? Love it! Hope you have a great week!

So lovely to see everyone is out enjoying the approaching Spring!
I recently spent 3 months in the US, and now know what it is like to yearn for the sunshine and the warmer weather. Here in Australia we ahve a little too much of both at times!
Thought I would pop in on a near neighbor on the My World sign in page today, and say hello!! Do hope all the eye surgeries have gone/go well for you.
Your neighbor's horse is a cutie. :) The warm sun is wonderful after all of the mud isn't it?
Hi Dorothy, I love your pictures tonight. That robin running is cute as can be! I enjoyed the warm sunshine today also. It really felt like Spring today. Hope you enjoy the rest of the week.
PS Wonderful depth in your new header photo. Is that the Grand Canyon?
Hey Dorothy!
Isn't it great to get to sit in the Sun! You got some really good pictures of the Robins! Love the last one! I noticed the Robins last week around here in WV. The ones I seen were a little fatter than yours though! lol
I enjoyed this post, Dorothy. Great pictures! I really liked the robin running along too. :)
Is Jeep for hire :o) ..I enjoyed the little tune...sounded good to me!..Ginny
Great photos of a beautiful place! I love the last photo - great capture!!!
What a beautiful stroll you had...the warmer weather does feel nice!
Oh the sun has felt so good, we've had some too.
Your Robin was getting down to business--it will soon be time to build those nests.
Dorothy,
What a wonderful posting. It was great to get outside, enjoy the sunshine. Your photos are really good. I love the white kitten, horses, robins, and everything that reminds me of spring.
Great shots to show that spring will be here soon!
I've been seeing lots of Robins in fields and peoples yard. Love the last pic of the one scurrying from you. They certainly can run fast.
Beautiful signs of spring by you! Love those horses! Had to laugh at that Robin running away in the last photo - reminds me of a Roadrunner cartoon!
A good thing that most birds are smarter and faster than the average cat :-) Love the photo of its hopeful approach. That's a fast Robin there at the end.
