Våld Labs KURARE | Every note is a crowd A swarm synthesizer by Våld Labs Open Beta
video upload by Våld Labs
"Two swarms of oscillators. Bring them together into a focused voice, or let them drift apart into beating textures, shifting harmonies and restless clouds of sound.
KURARE is a polyphonic synthesizer inspired by the Kuramoto model of collective synchronisation. Each oscillator responds to the others, creating sounds that gather, loosen and change as you play. The particles on screen follow the oscillators themselves, making that movement visible.
Four main controls shape the swarm:
• POPULATE adds oscillators, up to 32 per swarm.
• DECOUPLE moves from tightly synchronised tones to drifting clouds.
• DIVERGE spreads pitches into octave and overtone layers.
• EXCITE adds agitation and instability.
Explore five waveform collections, shape each swarm with SEM- or Polivoks-inspired filters, and add movement with three LFOs and two generative modulation lanes. The built-in sequencer brings seven VEKTE-derived algorithms, independent parts for each swarm and an arpeggiator.
16 voices. Two swarms per note. Plenty of room between order and chaos.
KURARE v0.5.0 is in public beta for macOS and Windows, free to download and use while the beta runs. #iOS soon.

Following up in similar fashion to the Frank Zappa Synclavier video, I wanted to tell a little story about Keith Emerson and the GX-1. Emerson Lake and Palmer are probably names you know, but Keith on his own is known to many synth and keyboard players/enthusiasts. I thought I’d tell a little story about Keith’s GX-1, and possibly a little about how its existence and where we are today collide in a strange way almost 50 years later. Just another FYI. NOT NOT NOT sponsored by Cherry Audio, I wouldn’t do that. I didn’t want to do the music for this video though with what I spoke about, similar to the last video where I used the Arturia Synclavier V for the music there. I hope you enjoy."
Arcane Devices - Caress of Stars 4 Ch Sequencer in 1U
video upload by NOISEBUG
"Caress of Stars, a wonderfully fun and playable 1U sequencer featuring an intuitive capacitive touch strip for programming and performing. You get four output channels that can be freely assigned to CV/Pitch, Gates or linked in combination. Each sequencer channel gets its own loop/length and clock division. Use the touch strip to tap and slide looping pitch sequences, or enable xox style rhythm programming. Very versatile, very fun."

9/7/26 (triple VCF test) EML 200 + acVOKS VCF + muSonics + STG + FSFX + Corsynth + CXM 1978
video upload by Cfpp0
"9/7/26 (triple VCF test) EML 200 + Analog Craftsman acVOKS VCF + muSonics Vanilla Envelope & Vanilla Filter + STG soundlabs Sea Devil’s Filter + FSFX Lopass Gate & Dual Trigger Processor + Corsynth Frequency Divider / Multiplier + CXM 1978
Sometimes the camera won’t focus, not sure why. We ordered a second Analog Craftsman acVOKS VCF and this was a test of how three of our 5U filters sound together with the ElectroComp EML 200. I like how old it all sounds. And I like the limitations of the EML 200, but just wish it had voltage-controllable filters. The two EML 200 sawtooth VCOs are running through the acVOKS VCF (Polivoks), the STG soundlabs Sea Devil’s Filter (Synthi), and the muSonics Vanilla Filter (Oberheim). VCO1 runs through the Vanilla Envelope, modulated by the right LFO on the Free State FX dual trigger processor (in dual LFO mode). The EML master triangle and both of the FSFX LFOs are modulating all the filters. The EML VCO2 runs through the EML VCA, modulated by the master triangle, and then into the acVOKS VCF, which is modulated by a copy of the FSFX right LFO. The acVOKS VCF audio lowpass output is panned left on the Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer. The acVOKS bandpass audio output is modulating the Vanilla Filter, which is panned right. The Vanilla Filter is also modulated by the left FSFX LFO and the EML master triangle. The EML VCA processing VCO2 also runs through the Corsynth Frequency Divider / Multiplier, and that is sent to the FM input on the Sea Devil’s Filter, which is filtering the EML VCO2 gated by the FSFX Lopass Gate, modulated by the EML master square. The master square is also controlling the pulse for the EML sampler. At first the EML sampler is fed noise, then later it’s fed VCO2 for the S&H modulating VCO1 on the EML 200. The reverb was blended on the CXM 1978."

One To Watch: Leona Jacewska - EBM, Italo & Retro-Futurism (Electronic Beats TV)
video upload by Telekom Electronic Beats TV
"For this Electronic Beats One To Watch episode, we meet Berlin-based Polish artist Leona Jacewska and step inside her world of electronic music.
Formerly known as Charlie, Jacewska has developed a distinctive sound shaped by EBM, synthwave and early ’80s Italo, combining driving rhythms and retro-futuristic synth textures with her own vocals. With a background in classical piano, years spent DJing and a deep involvement in the electronic music scenes of Kraków and Berlin, her approach brings together different sides of electronic music culture.
In this video, Leona takes us through her creative process, how she approaches writing and performing electronic music, the interaction between different pieces of hardware, and why working outside the computer continues to play such an important role in her creative process.

A Hugely Flexible Eurorack Filter // MELT by u-he

"Here we have the utterly feature packed MELT from u-he. It's a Eurorack analogue filter with more mixing and VCAs on board than I've seen before, managing to be simple to use while encouraging more advanced behaviours. Nice!!"
Digital Artifacts: A Novation Peak Patch Bank Using 10 Classic-Style Wavetables (new demo)
video upload by Jack “Frost” Cimino
"Ever thought the Novation Peak and Summit sounded too clinical, clean, and smooth? Fear not! These patches, inspired by the likes of vintage digital synths, make use of custom wavetables, some of which are steppy or buzzy. While the Peak may not alias, this soundset will get you closer to that PPG or Ensoniq vibe than you think. Contains 10 classic keys, 10 ethereal pads, 10 basses/plucks, 10 sexy leads, and 10 wacky sound fx. Many of the patches take advantage of the Animate buttons. Here is a preview of the patches that are included in this set."
