Jen and Jeremy's Wedding
As you can see, the slide show didn't work! So, I will just post the photos in the most confusing way I possibly can! We had a great time at Jen and Jeremy's wedding! Carter entertained himself with his orange car from Grandma and Grandpa, and Berklie played in the dirt in her cute dress.
What else is there to do at a wedding if your a kid?

If you look closely at the picture below, you will see the hole in the cake. I didn't have the heart to get mad at him when he came up to me and said, "mom, I just tried a little bit of the cake". We all wanted to do it!! He also did the same thing at his Uncle Andy's wedding. What can I say, he loves cake.
Carter saying to Luke, "don't cry Luke" (he wasn't crying though)

it be broke'
Well, so I have a cute slide show all ready to go...but for some reason it won't post. So, someday I'll figure it out and put it up. Until then, I am sure you all be dying to see it! :) This past weekend we went to Jen and Jeremy's wedding, Mat's little sister. For the first time all of the Bell's were at the temple together, I think that is something that every parent looks forward to. The reception that followed was awesome as well. It was at a really pretty place called "The Woods on Ninth". We all had fun eating yummy food, seeing family and friends and dancing. I have cute pictures of the kids, so hopefully I'll figure out how to get them on here.
A few nights ago we went to another wedding reception of some friends we lived near in Salt Lake. I have never been to a reception like this before. They are both way into UofU football and so the reception was themed around that. Not something that I would ever do, but it was awesome. I have never seen so much food and so many types of cake...oh and then when we were standing there visiting and in walked part of the U football team. Yeah, not kidding. Everyone sang the U fight song....and the team even did the "wedding dance" with everyone. It was crazy fun. For wedding favors they gave out a small red box with 2 chocolates and a UofU tattoo inside it. And you thought you were the ultimate fan!!
Stay tuned for my slide show!!

"As ye reap, so shall ye sow"
I mean that in the most literal way. We planted our garden in the spring and thought it wouldn't do very well because we got a little fertilizer happy. We did have to replant the corn and some tomatoes, but to our surprise, we got a ton of garden goodies this year!! Carters favorite is the corn, he even planted it himself when the first planting didn't come up. I honestly didn't think we'd get corn, but the pictures prove it, we did and it was (and is) really good. We have huge zucchini, a few squash, hot peppers, mini watermelon, tomatoes, carrots, beats, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, cilantro, 3 green peppers and a handful of peas. The garden was so fun this year, usually it just seems like way too much work, but we all really enjoyed it. Carter would wake up most mornings and want to go look at the garden. He would pick anything, but only eat the corn. Berklie on the other hand, ate anything that we grew.

We grew this mini melon all summer. We kept hoping that it would get huge, but it only got to be about the size of a small cantaloupe. But, it was seriously the best watermelon EVER!!
Here we are picking tomatoes for salsa. We ended up having to get about 20 from Grandpa Oman and some onions so that we could make Shauna's Salsa.

The State Fair
This past weekend, we braved the crowds and went to the state fair. We happened to show up on the night of the Rodeo! Wahoo!! You all know how I love those cowboys! (LOL) It wouldn't have been like me at all if I remembered my camera, so I didn't. Before the rodeo we let the kids ride some rides. We all rode the Merry-go-round, Carter rode the Helicopters and then we all rode the Ferris Wheel. Am we getting old or something because even the Merry-go-round made us dizzy. I know, it's ridiculous. We bought a very expensive dinner, corn dogs at 4 bucks a pop and hot dogs at 2.50 each, that left us hungry an hour later. So we treated ourselves to some more fatty fair food! It wouldn't be the fair if you didn't get a funnel cake and some dip n'dots. We looked around at some of the booths and ended up getting home real real late! It was a great time.
Sunday we had some friends over for a Babbie-Q. Mat said that morning, "watch, we'll run out of propane". So, of course we ran out of propane. Awesome. Good thing our peeps didn't live far, so they bailed us out. We had some good eats and played a really fun game, but I can't remember the name of it. Of course I won! Hahaha, I think I never win anymore, I'm too busy chatting it up to pay attention to the game. So at the end of the game I am all ticked because not only did I loose, I got last place by far! Oh well, we had a great time.
We are looking forward to a fun and busy week. I'll for sure post some more photos later!!

My boy
I can't believe how big my boy is getting! Preschool started this week and he was so excited to go back to Ms. Sarah's. I think he is excited to make new friends and to play in Ms. Sarah's new school room, but nonetheless, he is excited!! I won't lie, I'm excited too! 2 hours 3 days a week, what will I do with myself? Probably blog....maybe clean, maybe take a nap...the possibilities are endless! Mat and I can't get over how big he's getting. He says the funniest things, laughs at his own jokes, takes care of his little sister, rides a two-wheeler bike, and asks for broccoli for lunch. We adore our Carter boy!

It's real broccoli, and he wanted it!!
Carter's new favorite past time, along with riding his bike, he hunts grasshoppers and smashes them because, "they try to hop away from me".
Umm, gross. He always asks me to help him catch the hoppers because they are too fast. No way buddy, you are on your own with this one.

What do you do on Sunday?
This is a typical Sunday at the Bell's house. Of course this is after church and naps...when everyone is happy. Mat has to get the kids nice and hyper for dinner. Carter loves that Berklie is getting bigger and can play with him more these days. We keep telling him to watch out, that is won't be long and she'll be able to beat him at a wrestling match. I don't think he believes us, but she is a tuff little thing that stands her ground! Watch out Carter!

The video is a little long!! Watch until you are bored. Beware of the nudie. (ok, so he does have on his "skiddies" as he calls them).

A day of Firsts!!!
If you look closely, you can see the teenie tiny little pigtails!! YEAH! What a cute little peanut she was today. She sat on the counter in our bathroom and let me play around with her hair until I got it up in pigtails. She said, "ow, ow, ow" as I was doing it, but didn't try to stop me. A true girl. :) She looks like a little girl with these, I couldn't get over it!! Oh man, look at those eyes...that is a face that you can't say no to.

Another, "look closely and you'll see" picture. Those three little dots are Carter riding a two wheel bike! We went to some friends tonight for a little BBQ and Dave swore that Carter would be riding a two wheel bike by the end of the night. Well, it wasn't the end of the night, it was like 2 minutes into the BBQ, he was riding! I think the bike is magic, or Dave?? Carter couldn't get enough of it, so we are borrowing the bike for a little while so he can get some more practice in. When we got home he popped his head out of the car and asked so sweetly if he could ride his bike once around the circle.
He is so stinkin' proud of himself! Now we just have to get him to do it on his own bike!! Thanks Burila's, you guys rock!!
I'll for sure post more pictures of Carter and his bike since I am sure that he will do nothing but peddle tomorrow.
