My home is a refuge not only from the world, but from my worries, my troubles, my concerns. I like beautiful things around me. I like to be beautiful because it delights my eyes and my soul is lifted up.

How do you spend your time?

The clock strikes midnight for all of us.

and at this point in time each one of us old and young, poor or wealthy, un-employed or a top executive we all start off the same. Yes we are all at different stages in our lives, but there is one thing that we all have that is the same. Time is the same for each one of us, no matter where we are in the world. But sadly this is where all the same things come to an end.

As adults and children we all have freedom to choose how we will spend that valuable time.

*****************

It comes down to 3 things:

essential

*

necessary

*

nice and fun

*

If we are spending all our time on "fun" what is happening to the necessary and essential things in our life?

```````````
```````````

For me the "essential" is the spiritual things: prayer, scripture reading, family

testimony, Temple

``````````
```````````

The "necessary" things would be eating, working, education, provident living, health

```````````
``````````

the "fun and nice things" would involve everything else, such as pedicures, manicures, travel and shopping

````````
``````````

Most days for me, I try to include some of each. When I feel out of balance, when there is a disconnect, it's usually because my time is spent doing too many of one thing and not enough of the other.

```````````
```````````

Is it "time" to make a few changes?

Ouch!!!!

Birthdays are great reminders to take care of yourself, and do what needs to be done.
dentist: check
pap smear: check
Thyroid doctor: check
Hormone Doctor: check
bloodwork: check
skin Doctor: check
and today:
Wham Bam Thank you Mammogram!!!!
Yes it hurt, but the technician was nice. I didn't have to repeat anything. I looked at the pictures, and they looked fine to me. We'll see..
All that is left for me to do is the colonoscopy..

Turning "60" isn't so bad.....

My husband surprised me with 5 dozen Roses..60 of them! so beautiful.

went to Macaroni grill with the boys and Mark..

Had a birthday dinner with Camri Sue ( grand-daughter) who turned "4" on our birthday that we share.

````````
````````
I received many Cards, phone calls, lunches and gifts to celebrate the big day. The sixties are going to be great.
After all what is the alternative?

A few things I have learned:
I have spent 20 years in bed and over 3 years eating!!
Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
To me old age is always 15 yrs. older than I am
No wiseman ever wished to be younger

and finally, we turn not older with years but newer every day.

`````````
`````````
Other people who share my age...
Bill O. Reilly
Jessica Lange
Billy Joel
Cybill Shepard
and my 2 favorite's
Meryl Streep
Richard Gere
````
`````
If I was to write myself a letter, it might go something like this:
Dear me,
I was blessed to have been born in such a wonderful family. Loving parents and siblings who have supported me throughout my life.
I have never wanted for the necessities of life, these have been provided for me in abundance.
I was lucky to find a young man who loved every inch of me. He has shared his life with me, and I'm very grateful. Together we have 5 sons, 5 daughters in law, twenty four grand children. We have a wonderful home to live in, with food on the table.
I know that I'm a daughter of God and that he loves me.
I have had an incredible life.
love, me

How bout you?

Periodically, I am
MA
(mad)
SA
(sad)
SO
(sorry)
AN
(angry)
but most of the time I try to be:
Happy for my blessings even when I'm mad or sad that bad things happen.. I can be sorry and even angry at times, as long as I "remember" that all these things shall work together for my good if I remain faithful and true to the end.
I believe in Jesus Christ
Come what may
PERIODICALLY I NEED REMINDING

Easter Aftermath....

Easter is a "Heugly Holiday"..We all love it for many reasons..The togetherness. The good food..The laughter of little children finding Easter eggs...Decorating our eggs for the "BIG" contest
But most of all:

We love it because we know as a family that Jesus Christ lives. That he truly died for each one of us. We know that our savior loves us, and because of what he did for us, we can all return to him someday, if we will follow him.
``````
I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter celebration.
♥♥♥♥♥♥
Pictures of our time together on Easter will be posted shortly.....
Today I needed to "clean up" the memories. Besides that when your son calls and says "Mom do you want to go to the movies with me and some of the kids today? You say "YES"
March 31st
Michael Buble concert at the E-Center
My mother and me
`````````````````````
Some moms and daughters go shopping, or cook together or go on trips together..
My mom and I have found a fun way to enjoy life and one of its many joys....
"Music"

````````
7 yrs. ago an unknown began singing love songs. His voice and choice of songs spoke to my mom. These were songs that she and my dad would have listened to. Michael Buble is a young man who has developed an ability to connect with all ages. If you go to his concerts you see many young beautiful women.
``````````
This was the 5th concert my mom and I have been to: Arkansas, (My sister Leslie joined us on this one) Denver ,Las Vegas, and 2 times in SLC Utah..

`````
Have to say I wasn't disappointed. o.k. just a (little) He's become so popular that his shows now house 10,000....I really preferred the smaller theatres. But that's what happens when you become popular.
````

He's on a "Crazy love Tour" that will take him to 42 countries in about 2 years. He has sold millions.

Thanks Mr. Buble for stoppin by and making 2 ladies scream with joy and enjoy a fun night together.
