My home is a refuge not only from the world, but from my worries, my troubles, my concerns. I like beautiful things around me. I like to be beautiful because it delights my eyes and my soul is lifted up.

This wraps up July..

While Marci was at girls camp, and Liz was at youth conference, we managed a little family time, going to the movies, eating lunch and going for ice cream.

Baskin and Robbins has spider man ice cream, so of course we had some before seeing the Spider man movie.

My Nephew Ryan Jr. aka "BIFF" stopped by grandmas for a visit. It was so much fun seeing him. It had been like 15 years. He has a beautiful family in Florida who didn't come with him. Love this kid (man) so much!!!

The 24th of July was very low key.
It's the off holiday (we celebrate on the 4th) so most of the family
was celebrating with their in laws. Marci stopped by to swim
with the kids, (while Joe was working) and like always had a wonderful time.

The ginormous balloon was caught by Mark at the Hough concert.
He saved it, knowing the kids would have fun with it in the pool.

While Beau was diving he noticed this hornets nest. We killed 20 hornets.

Popsicles after the swim. Perfect treat for a hot day.
I bet the pioneers would have loved a treat like that.

Move Live on Tour

I wanted to go to the dance concert put on by Derek and Juliane HOUGHat the Maverik center,
But nothing seemed to work out, until 2 days before the concert
and my friend posted on Facebook that she and her husband
would be unable to use their concert tickets because
they needed to pick up their daughter from coming home from her mission.
***
We bought the tickets.
Little did we know they were on the 5th row
and end seats, (to give Mark more room.)
The show was amazing. Especially when they picked
Mark to go to the stage and dance with Julianne.

When Julianne asked Mark what his name was he said "POP". The audience cheered.
The day after the concert Mark and I attended Leah's soccer game, and someone yelled out "are you POP? "(they had been to the concert. Too funny. They remembered Pop's name.

Leah's Birthday

Ethan and Amy's youngest is 10 years old.. Leah wanted her birthday party at our house. She invited some of her soccer friends. It was fun to hear the laughter and see happy faces. We love our Leah.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart.
