Yellow Pine

Summer time just wouldn't be complete without a trip to Yellow Pine, and since we missed out on it last summer we made sure to make it happen this summer.  It was so much fun and it went by way too fast!
Dad let us take the razor up and it was a ton of fun, Kellen even loved it!
Marc and Makayla going through the stream...love Makayla's scream
We saw a lot of big salmon in the river, and Morgan and Marc were determined to catch one...sad to say that even a big stick didn't do the trick.  Better bring their poles next time!
The night before we left, Marc took me up to the lookout that overlooks the town of Yellow Pine (hence the name lookout).  It was so worth it, and so pretty up there.  Excuse the dirty faces, it was after a long, hard day of riding.

We had so much fun there, and ate way too much food (thanks to Terry and Nancy...and Morgan).  It was hard to leave and go home.  After this trip I think I can say I just about love Yellow Pine as much as Marc, which is A LOT!  We missed having Grandma and Grandpa up there, but were so grateful they let us use the cabin.  Thanks Terry and Nancy for the great trip!

Summer in a nutshell...

We had a fun filled summer that included some boating trips and time on the beach...
Tanner on the wakeboard and Marc on the slalom ski
Angie, Mckinley, Halle, Me, and Quincy on the tube.  We tried telling Quincy she was too small to go on a   tube, but if you know Quincy that excuse means nothing to her.  She LOVED it!
        Went golfing with Tanner...
Watched McKinley and Halle at Mini Cheer Camp with their Aunt Whit...
...took care of Whitney after her ACL surgery.  Compared to her other injuries,
this was nothing for her and she healed amazingly fast!
We also managed to fit in a few camping trips, once with the Daws
and once with Mitch and Jaci, and Drew and Bethany.  It was fun but a great reminder
why I only go camping a few times a year, and why I NEVER go for more than one night!
We have also had some fun visitors... Aunt Deb and mom watching Dad's famous firework show!
We got to go to Nampa to see this cute girl get married,
and the reception was beautiful...one of my favorites!
And last but not least Marc's new favorite hobby finally paid off a few weeks ago when he caught this trout, but not without risking his life to do so...(a story for another time)
