Thanksgiving with the Bradshaw's!

We spent Thanksgiving this year with Marc's family. We ate a ton of food, slept in, went bowling, saw the movie Twilight, made a gingerbread house, and played a lot of games. It doesn't get much better than that! Between Nancy's amazing cooking and Terry's nightly milkshakes and spins we definitely gained a few extra pounds. We are definitely spoiled when we visit Kuna, they always make it hard to come back home. Thanks for the great week!

Happy Birthday in advance to a great brother!

Garrett is the tough looking football player in the picture. Garrett turns 18 on Thursday, since I won't be around to post I am doing it now. People who know Garrett would probably agree with me that he is quite possibly one of the funniest people around. Garrett is probably the most quoted member of our family with all of his famous one liners. He has a lot of friends and is a sports genius. We love Garrett and will miss seeing him on his big day! Have a great day Garrett!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday. This morning I put my class of 5th graders on speaker phone while they sang happy birthday to my mom. After I hung up one of my students said, "your mom sounds like a really nice lady." I totally agree, my mom is such a sweet person who is always happy and kind. My mom is totally unselfish and does anything to make sure her kids are taken care of. She is a great cook and is always up for a good laugh. You can always find her doing something kind for someone else around her. She is one of my best friends and a great example to me. Happy Birthday, I love you mom!

Happy Halloweeen!

I talked Marc into carving some pumpkins with me this year...I decided to make a BYU pumpkin. I know that isn't very creative, but I knew my family would appreciate it. Marc decided to do a throwing up pumpkin, ya pretty gross!

Happy Birthday Whit!

My little sister Whitney turns 14 today! I can't believe she is already 14. Whitney and I never shared bedrooms, but clear up until I left for college I think she slept in my bed almost every night. We just couldn't miss out on time together! I love Whitney's fun and outgoing personality and her addicting laugh. Everyone who knows Whitney loves to be around her. We hope you have fun at the movies Whit, and we can't wait to party it up with you this weekend!

BYU-I INTRAMURAL CHAMPIONS...FINALLY!

Thursday night Marc's softball team won the intramural championship in a very long, close and intense game. The final score was 22-21. Marc has played on quite a few teams hoping to win a championship before he graduated, and now we can leave Rexburg without any regrets!

Catch-up

Here is a little bit of what we have been doing lately...

McKinley came and spent the night this weekend with us and it was a lot of fun. We made Halloween sugar cookies, painted our toenails, and she even helped me clean the house. We love you Mckinley!

Last weekend we went to Kuna. Makayla went to homecoming and looked absolutely beautiful.

Marc wanted in on the action so he decided to pretend like he was helping for the picutre.

We attended a few BYU games

Marc catching something that is actually picture worthy (unlike our last fishing experience). I think he has better luck when I am not with him.

Camping!

This weekend we decided to be adventurous and go camping with a few friends and some family...

Scott was a great fire keeper

Cameron and Julia made a great dinner in the dutch oven, and if it wasn't for them I'm afraid we would've had to settle with hot dogs.

We were worried about being cold, but we were toasty in our zero degree sleeping bags. We couldn't even get Marc out of bed.

Although that morning we got rained on, it was alright because it made our little adventure even more adventurous.

A little rain on the hashbrowns never hurt anyone, right? Oh and Marc wants me to mention that the raiders chair I was sitting in belongs to Mitch, not us.

We had a great time, and it made us extremely grateful to have a nice warm place to come home to.

Rise and Shout the Cougars are out!

This weekend we went to the BYU game with my family. It was a great game! BYU beat UCLA 59-0. McKinley came with us and was quite the cheerleader. She even made a sign to hold up that supposedly said BYU. We ended the day by seeing Elder Perry, he was parked near us. It was a great day!

Catch Up!

School started last week, so my blogging time has been slim to nothing. So here is a little catch up from the past few weeks. A few weekends ago we went to Preston for the Diamond Rio concert (thanks to Jaci's sister). Then we were able to go to Richard and Caitlin's wedding in the Logan temple and it was beautiful. Just like always, we had a great time being with family. Last Wednesday, August 20th we got a new niece, Quincy Annette Daw. We are so happy that she arrived safely and we think she is super cute just like all the other Daw girls.

Here is my sister and her husband and their cute little family of 5 just hours after Quincy arrived. Quincy has no idea what she has coming with her two crazy older sisters. It will be a little crazy at the Daw home for awhile, good luck Ang! We think you have the cutest little girls ever, we love you guys!

Boating in Aberdeen!

Last weekend we took Mitch, Jaci and Drew to Aberdeen to go boating. It turned out to be a great day even though we hit thunderstorms on the way there.
Drew was a great flag holder, he loved the job!
Marc cleared the wake for his first time, but not on this picture. I was a pretty proud wife! It's kind of hard to tell, but Marc is wearing a hat. Despite what everybody told him, he didn't lose it.
I was able to cross the wake without squealing or getting scared and letting go. I knew my brothers and husband would be proud of that. They've been coaching me for years. (I know I'm a whimp!)Mitch did great on the slalom ski and the wakeboard...so multi-talented!
Drew was a much better wakeboarder than flag holder, and he was an amazing flag holder so you can imagine what kind of a wakeboarder he was.

Jaci tried wakeboarding for her first time and did a great job. She probably holds the world record for staying up on a wakeboard in a crouched position for the longest time. She even looked cute while doing it.

We all came home a little sore and tired, but it was a fun day!

Happy 4th Birthday McKinley!

My cute little niece McKinley turned 4 last week on July 30th. McKinley is full of life and very funny. She keeps us all entertained, I'm not sure what our family ever did before she was born. She is just like her mom and we love having an"Angie Jr." in the family. She is a great oldest grandchild and loves watching out for her little sister and cousin Easton. We love you McKinley!

Wahlen Family Reunion

This weekend we went to Salt Lake for the Wahlen Family Reunion. It was so fun to see everyone again and spend time with family! On Friday we all went to the Hogle Zoo, then went swimming, visited, and played cards that night.

Uncle Eric and Vanessa riding the carousel at the Zoo.
On Saturday we went shopping and spent the afternoon at Liberty Park. We just relaxed in the shade and watched the boys play Volleyball.

Nice pose mom! The Volleyball game went from messing around and letting the kids play to a serious game with huddles and everything.Halle and the rest of the girls just sat around and ate and talked!

That night we got together and shared some of our favorite one-liners and memories of Grandpa. We also got to hear Grandpa tell some neat stories. We love Grandpa Wahlen!

It was such a fun weekend and I'm so proud to be a part of such a great family. Thanks for the great time Wahlens, we love you all!
