Morgan & Amber visit/ Tanner's mission call

We had a fun weekend with both of our families. On Friday night we traveled to Clifton, ID for Amber's sister's reception. It was fun to see Morgan and Amber. After the reception we drove to Pocatello and spent the night with Marc's family. We felt bad we had to leave early, but Tanner was opening his mission call on Saturday so we had to drive to Provo.

Amber, Makayla, and me at the reception!

Tanner opening the call! Whitney guessed it exactly right...Detroit, Michigan

We are all excited for Tanner, a little sad due to the fact that this is the first missionary in our immediate family. I know Tanner will be a great missionary though and we are excited for him to have the opportunity to serve.

After Tanner opened his call we all went out to lunch with our family and Tanner's roommates. When we went to lunch we met a guy who had just returned from the Detroit mission and we met another girl who's brother had served there. Of course that wasn't a huge suprise, we were in Provo!

Whitney, Mckinley, and "Nanna" on the way to the hotel.

Thank goodness Tanner's call came the same weekend as a football game. We were able to go to the game and see BYU kill Eastern Washington 42-7. It was a fun game minus the snow storm at the end!

It was a great weekend and we were lucky to be able to see both of our families. We love them all!

Barbecue/ Mesa Falls

This weekend we had some visitors Jeff and Sarah Nance (Jeff was Mitch's old roommate). They came up from Provo for the weekend and stayed in our very small extra bedroom. It was fun to finally have some visitors! On Sunday we had everyone over for a barbecue to use up the steaks that Grandma Morgan gave to us.

...and to think we were worried about not having enough meat. This was only half of what we cooked.

Jaci, Mitch, Jeff and Sarah

After dinner on Sunday, we took a little scenic drive up to Mesa Falls. It was beautiful this time of year.

Hodaka, Emily, Tiffany, Jeremy, Scott, Will, Brittany, Nate, Mitch, Jaci, Marc, Me

It really was a great weekend, and fun to have visitors. Anyone who ever needs a place to stay in Rexburg, the hide-a-bed is always open!

A weekend in Kuna!

We spent this past weekend in Kuna. It is always fun to spend time with family! Scott and Jaci also came along, it was fun to have them with us. We had a great time watching conference, relaxing and eating A LOT of really good food thanks to Nancy (and Terry). While the boys went to priesthood I was able to watch a chick flick with Makayla, Nancy, and Jaci!!! We also played a funny game of Taboo. We always get spoiled with their great cooking and hospitality. Thanks to the Bradshaw's for the great weekend! Also thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Morgan for the cooler full of food they sent home with us.

Easton has arrived!

Jill and Shannon had a little baby boy yesterday, October 2nd. We are very excited to have a little baby boy in the family.

Yesterday after school we drove to Pocatello to see Easton. It was a lot of fun to get to see him just barely a day old. He looks exactly like his dad.

Here are the three Wahlen grandchildren, Halle, Mckinley, and now Easton. What a bunch of cuties!
