I decided to go ahead with the latest
Pixelscrapper designer challenge. They sure keep ya busy over there. If you've never visited, you should! It's a great community of people and lots of resources for all kinds of digital scrapbooking.
Our challenge was simple and vague: 5 solid papers, 5 pattern papers, and 15 elements. I struggled with a general theme. After working on the December blog train, plus having done a winter mini kit already in October, I didn't really want to go Christmas or winter again. So what did I do? Browsed
Colour Lovers for a color scheme that stood out. I figured I'd find the colors and then go from there. I had previously seen a great layout with a journal highlight in one of my Google+ groups and wanted to go in that direction with it.
So, here it is. The Sunday Morning mini kit. I thought Sunday morning was great because it's a time of reflection on the week before, or maybe even just the weekend if you had a big event. I remember MANY times sitting around Sunday morning with a group of friends re-hashing the weekend's escapade. That really was my inspiration, I guess.
I threw together a quick layout with the highlight of my weekend to share as well. Elements include: 2 frames, 1 large journal card, stitching, 2 flowers, string, 2 leaves, flair, flower button, washi tape, days of the week words, expression tag, and a paint splatter.
**This link has expired. You can still purchase the kit for a low price at the store.**

Just FYI - this file is pretty big because the journal card is saved as a .png to preserve the cutout. Geesh! That caused it to be an extra large file. :/
