We love our friends!

Jonathan and our neighbor Philippe ready to go to the farmers market. Jonathan must have decided he was cold and wanted some of Philippe's blanket. Philippe was nice enough to share!

My little helper!

Who knew a dryer could be so much fun? Well, Jonathan thinks it is pretty great. He loves to come and help me with the laundry. This morning, however, he climbed into my laundry basket and plopped himself right down and actually stayed there for quite awhile.

Next item to be washed: Jonathan!!

Big change for me!!

I have dark hair for the first time in my life! I know for some of you this is not a big deal, but for me, I have always been blonde. Even when my roots started showing brown, I started highlighting blonde and have done so ever since. Surprisingly, this new color isn't too far off from my natural hair color (look at my eyebrows).

So, what do you think? Is the dark good or should I switch back to blonde?

Our Blog Is Going Private

I have been noticing people from random and fairly odd countries viewing our blog and it makes me a bit nervous. As a result, we will be making our blog viewable only to our friends and family. If you would like to be invited to view our blog, please leave me your email address!

Thanks so much!

The Parrish Fam

My handsome son!

I love my little boy. Sometimes I find myself staring at him for who knows how long. I love this picture because this is his look when he is almost on the verge of falling asleep, so peaceful and content. He is so beautiful.

Jonathan is 9 months!

This time last year I was just over 6 months pregnant! (This was Thanksgiving 2008 - with my sister-in-law Maleia.)

Now our little boy, who we were so anxious to meet, is 9-months-old. I feel so blessed to be able to have him in my life. Between my husband and my little boy, I never feel lonely or a lack of love. They are wonderful.
Jonathan was such a good boy at the doctors office. He cried for just a second when they gave him his shot. It is always reassuring to know that he is growing at a good, healthy pace. He now weighs 20 pounds (45%) and is 30 inches tall (92%). And of course he has a large head. I can't remember the exact percent, but suffice it to say, he has sure jumped in the percentages for head measurements. More room for all his smarts, right? Whatever the measurement, he's proportionate and darling in my book.
Sometimes he is quite the "wild thing" though.

He loves to swing!! He isn't one bit hesitant, except when our good friend Brandon tosses Jonathan in the air. He still isn't quite sure about that. Don't worry he will learn to love big, high, fast things just like his mom.

And wasn't one bit frightened by ANYTHING during the Halloween holiday. Here he is sitting on Grandma Parrish's lap at the Pumpkin Walk. He thought she was pretty great.

Jonathan was a puppy, I was a witch, and Morgan was a scary something. I'm not sure what to label Morgan's outfit as. I just know he made some kids nervous when they can trick-or-treating to our door.

It's been a pretty fantastic 9 months with Jonathan in our home!! We love him so much and are constantly entertained by his many animated facial expressions. We are so blessed to have such a great little boy!!!

Fishing

Morgan and our neighbor Brandon love to go fishing together. They have gone so much with each other, but this time they actually came home with some fish. Good job boys!

Texas

Claire Martin

Jonathan posing for me in his car seat.

Jonathan loved seeing his Aunt Julie, Uncle Curt, and his new cousin Claire, but he was really happy to be home to see his dad. I had to take of his shirt, because his Uncle Gordon had given him some of those teething crackers and he was a mess.

My new niece Claire Martin. She is a darling little baby girl. She smiles and sleeps great.

A couple more pictures of Jonathan being as cute as ever.

Texas, cont...

This is how Jonathan watches TV. I find him lying like this often either watching TV or just talking to himself. It is way too cute.

Here he is getting ready to go swimming!!

My little handsome boy!

Island Park

We were able to spend a couple days at our friends cabin in Island Park. It was a blast and absolutely beautiful. The mosquitoes were horrible, but after a little bit we just learned to ignore them.

Here we are with our friends; Brandon, Jenn, Alexis, and Peyton. And yes the girls are twins and so darling.

Yellowstone

In front of the sign just outside of West Yellowstone. We spent one day in Yellowstone. Most of the day was actually pretty chilly. But it felt nice with all the walking we did.

Just a random cute picture of Jonathan.

Yellowstone, cont...

Here we are in front of one of the beautiful hot spots at Yellowstone.

Morgan's incredibly huge fish! (He even kept it and ate it.)

Dad and Jonathan on a hike to the river.

We took a little break on our drive up to Island Park and let Jonathan play in the front seat for a minute. He loved pretending to drive.

Just For Fun

Jonathan next to Morgan's old bear.

I was changing Jonathan one day and didn't take his shirt all the way off. I turned away for a second and this is what I turned back to. He just sat there grinning at me with his shirt halfway covering his face.

Just For Fun, cont...

Jonathan doesn't really get the idea of a jumper seat, but he really likes looking at us upside down in it.

A little surprise daddy brought home. He loved it. He sat there forever grinning and looking at his new motorcycle.

Reading is exhausting!

Just For Fun, cont...

Jonathan loves to hold his own books. He is getting pretty good at it actually.

This was taken at our ward camp out; Jonathan's first time camping. He was a champ!

Jonathan just chilling in his high chair. He loves to play in his high chair while I clean my kitchen. Now he even is starting to eat in his high chair, since we are getting to experiment a little more with foods.

This is the exact facial expression Jonathan wears while he sleeps the majority of the time. It is one of my favorite pictures.

I love this sad little face. He is a doll.

Happy Father's Day, Morgan!

Since this was Morgan's first Father's Day, I tried to make it extra special. So I not only made him a delicious dinner, but I also had his favorite suit pants altered (since he is not the same weight as he was 5 or 6 years ago). Anyway, I think I did a pretty good job on his first Father's Day.

Doesn't that look good? Yummy!!

Mission Reunions!

I love Morgan's mission reunions. I love thinking about those 2 years of his life and all the neat adventures that he has had. Also, he has some wonderful mission companions and mission presidents that I love to visit with. This is Morgan's first mission president and his wife. They are wonderful.

A Weekend at the Cabin

We had another fun weekend at my parents cabin. I don't think I will every get sick of spending time up there. When Morgan and I go up we usually spend our time hiking, fishing, sitting at the lake, reading a book together, or catching up on some much needed rest. Regardless of what we do, we always have a blast. This last time was Jonathan's first time up at the cabin and we couldn't have had more fun with him up there.

Mother's Day!!

Okay, I am going to brag a little about my Mother's Day gift and my incredibly tolerable husband. This is a picture of my beautiful Mother's Day gift. Back in November we were given a super nice table from Morgan's sister and brother-in-law, but it didn't fit in our house. So I decided that I really wanted to redo the table and make it into a leaf table. Well, Morgan thought I was crazy, but did it for me anyway and now I have an absolutely beautiful table in my house. Thank you Morgan!!
