Report Card Day Mid-Term : SRAT1K

Pagi tadi, lepas subuh gajah aku terpacak kt sekolah Hanis, maklumla nak make sure dpt no.1 sbbnya aku keje. Rugi ambik cuti semata2 nak ambik report card yg kdg2 berapa minit jek. Tgk mak bapak yg jenis camana la kan, kena yg kepochi cam aku lama la sket haha sumer nak tanya. Time nak keluar nampak la mata parents lain yg dh nak juling kat luar tuh ala..bukan berdiri ponnn...sekolah dh sedia kusi bagai hahaha Feduli hape kan ?? Aku nak mesra2 ngan ustazah dia skali skala, aku blah pon sbb nampak muka ustazah cam ala2 nk halau aku jek, klu tak mau aku tanya dia duduk mana, dh kawin ke...hehe ishh sedap jek aku mengata tapi ye la kot sbb dia dh jeling2 belakang. 15 minit je ustazah...

Tapi aku puji la ustazah ni sbbnya 7.45 dia dh terpacak dlm kelas walaupun dlm memo kata start pkl 8. Muka pun manis jek. Bila mintak no hp pun dia x kisah. Kdg2 ada cikgu yg x pikir susah payah mak ayah nak dtg waktu sekolah. Contoh dia sekolah kebangsaan Hanis, report card ambik next week. Apalah salahnya start pukul 12.30 or 1pm so that mak ayah yg cuti ciput or can't afford to take leave boleh rush kjp during lunchtime to collect & sign. Mesti nak ikut opis hour depa. Eline jgn marah noo...hang cikgi yg baik dan prihatin, aku bukan jenis yg cakap "Ah, cikgu2 memang mcm tu.." (imagine ngan mulut moncong2 ye..). Itu dh jatuh hukum ' generalize'. Aku x kira la dia cikgu ke engineer ke ahli mujik ke, klu buat perangai memang la carik nahas.

Yang part cikgu ni sbb aku tgk sendiri, she's very inconsiderate la pada aku. Cth : Waktu byr yuran 1st day school open till 10am. Tik tok pkl 1o tu dia dh angkut barang..., dtgla mak bapak yg ala2 berlari anak ckp sori mori naik lori...aci ke dia ckp ' kita bagi masa dari pagi lagi, saya pun ada keje lain jugak nak buat'. Ye cikgu, I do agree with her on the part that she got her own stuffs to do, but THAT parents apologised like few times, which shows that they're late not on purpose. Be compassionate la...we leave you to your own device for few months during school holidays, takkan la 2,3 ari out of 365 ari x leh nk accomodate us. Lain la klu yang dtg buat kurang ajar kan ?? And aku sampai skrg x leh terima hakikat kenapa aku x boleh b'ckp dengan cikgu melalui tepon tp kena tingal mesej kat kerani sekolah. Bilik guru memang x de tepon eh ? (Soklan iklas ni, tipah mmg x tau sbbnya cikgu & kerani x mo ckp, aci ??). Bila tanya camana ye saya nak contact cikgu pelajaran xxx, Jawapan : Yang tu puan kena dtg sekolah jumpa cikgu sendiri masa persekolahan.... ye kawan2 marilah kita menangis secara berjemaah.

Psst psst..aku pasti ada yg akan tanya...sekolah mana ni ? hehehe

Manalah tau panjang umur dah berumur nanti bleh la tgk balik result peksa Along kecik2 dolu hahaha Bukan dgn niat nak riak, klu teruk, teruk la kan, so far so good. Sbbnya, I wish I know how I fared when I was in my primary in facts & figures. Yang aku ingat cuma masa aku dh Djh 4-6 jek.

Pinch vs Punch

Weeks ago, I posted an entry about stretching my grocery spending coz prices had gone up

I put it as 'I can feel the pinch'.

Last Saturday, we went for another grocery trip, and I think the statement above is no longer relevant, it is more accurate to put it as 'I can feel the Punch' with capital P.

Everything went up like nobody's business. They said that the petrol hike will have an impact on the 1nflation rate, in layman's term = average increase in price. So if it's 3 - 6% meaning prices of goods will likely increase so much. But then, look at what I had to pay.

Beras - from rm34++ to rm43++ : almost 30%
Cili - from 2.99 to 3.99 : more than 30%

Teh - from rm6.80 to rm8.90 : more than 30%
Biskut - from rm8.70 to rm10.30 : almost 20%

That's is 20-30% inflat1on rate to me !! Hmmm...Brg2 aku beli ni x sama ke dgn brg2 dlm CPI basket hehehe...takkan la beras takde dlm basket tu kot kan kan ? Okla, give and take, beras naik can take it as global, tapi teh ngan biskut ?? apakah ?? Lain-lain brg aku dh x koser nak observe, kang sakit jiwa kat situ jugak. So ambik campak masuk trolley, Q, bayar. Regular household items yg thn lama borong terus sblm harga dia melompat2 lagi. Diapers Hannah dh siap beli saiz XL masa sale kt Jusc0 !! hahaha

Whichever way, we're definitely tightening our belt.

Talking about changing the way we spend, I used to do that last time. We tried not to go for brand. So we bought cheaper or in-house brand for items like detergent, tisu, even some foodstuffs. Does it work ?? A flat NO. Why ? Klu sabun tu masuk sikit2 x jalan , tu dia curah masuk sebeban pastu x bersih pun. Sabun cuci pinggan x bleh mix dgn air, so 1 tong tu kejap jek, baik Axi0n bekas kecik thn lama. Tisu dapur, kena air jek, sumer hancur. I've tried Pet2 & Fitti for diapers, instead of saving our moolah we had to spend more on nappy rash cream, nak jimat punya psl kesian montot anak haku kena rashes & paper-cut (from the tape) so Mamypok0 it is. Why Mamypok0 ? sbb Pamper$ and Huggie$ x bleh thn smpi pagi.

We can only change so much, where necessary. But for the kids, we are not going to give less than the best as long as we can. For the parents, once-in-a-while-splurge is still allowed (jimat ke hape camni..) heheh Things that we do not discount is book & food. So klu x leh jimat cara tu then we save in other ways that we can mcm fuel, power & water consumption, ye dok kawang-kawang ?? Balik kg trip will be a nitemare when u ride a fuel-gulping car like us. Time to change to a fuel saving ride, NGV is not an option since we need all the spaces and putting Thule box on top is a no no.

I found this little creature on my dining table last nite.

Donno whether to laugh or to cry.

I was on my high spirit to spring clean the house after weeks of living in mess due to the wedding preparation. Hubby was not around, he went to kenduri arwah for 1 of our sedare in USJ. Adan tergolek due to hi-fever and vomitting while Hanis had her own chaos looking for her art stuffs to bring to school today.

This little one kept on tugging my shirt for attention and her ' Nene, nene..' ( nak nenen la tu..) she just had her dinner, to divert her attention I heated up a bowl of mushroom soup for her to slurp. I scooped the soup, put it on table and asked her to sit there and wait until it's cool enuff to eat. I continued with my chores i.e. washing dishes and periuk belanga yg dah menimbun ala2 twin tower kt dlm & tepi sink. After about 15min, there she is...on the table...oh tidak, anakku mengantuk ropanya sob sob songgoh la aku bersalah for putting the pinggan mangkuk in higher priority compared to that lil creature. Kalaulah dia berpusing mau gedebuk atas lantai...

But then, it's not everyday that u see this kind of thing, so I asked Hanis to bring the camera. She came and said ' ish ish adik kita ni...' sambil geleng kepala lagi, she even asked...dia tido betul2 ke tipu2 ni ibu ?

Note : Adan also got his own pose, tido sambil mencangkung. Hanis je takde sbb dia tido dlm buaian, no buai no sleep.

So, I achieved the target of being selfish because my books are more than 50% !! Hurray !! I still have about 24 days to think whether I should bring them kids to pick their own heh. Hannah will be content with her growing peekaboo's collection. As usual, I'll spend my time to wrap the books, can't stand buku yg kelepet2. The classic habit in me.

Dd, don't buy those that I have. Klu library opismu yg happening tu x de then gimme a call, we'll meet at SOG0 the meeting place, I can drag Sydde as well.

My Abah will surely proud knowing that at least 1 of his kids loves books & photography as much as he does. I'm gonna dig his bookshelves for the original Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck and a lot more. I'm more into books (for now) and would rather sling my baby than SLR. I had my fair share with Yashica & Minolta yonks ago (more thn 20 yrs) where u only have rolls of film to play with. Hubby is very supportive and showing interest (translate : sponsor is no issue). So until we have no more babies to carry around, I'll let my point & shoot do the job and let people around me like Dd and Sydde become a master and I can get free lessons from them yeeeeeeeehaaa.

A belated entry.

9 years ago on 23 May 1999, I made a vow to be a good wife to one handsome guy (still is) Disclaimer : definition of 'good wife' may vary. Not sure whether assigning asking him to do laundry, sweeping & mopping floor can reduce my point to achieve the good wife status or not. I hope not.

Now, after more than 15 years of knowing each other with 9 spent being married with ups and downs and 3 kids in tow, we're still blissfully happy. Alhamdulillah.

I now accept that I won't get any romantic dinner, card or a bouquet of flowers on my birthday or maybe a surprise gift from him. He's just not that type, but he will ask me what I want, he showered me with gifts. And he now SHOULD (better be) accept that his wifey is not kitchen goddess. We have yet to go out and have a proper celebration as in dinner (bz dgn wedding preparation) . On the day but he bought me a cute Swa7ch wristwatch after dragging ourselves out from Isetan (Member Day SALE !!). And last Thurday, while 'teman'ing him buying his new wristwatch, he bought me another one (obvious sgt ke hint aku ??). Thanx Ayang. As you said, x yah beli jam 10 tahun lepas ni hehe

Happy 9th anniversary to us. I love you. Ich liebe dich. Uhibbuka.

Goodbye..yet It's Not Goodbye

I was greeted by this magnetic note on my board this morning. Token from a dear friend.

Another colleague left for good, 24hr notice. She joined the bank earlier than me. It's quite a sad Monday for me to read 3 farewell e-mails in 1 shot. Another 2 were transferred to another dept.

Goodbye my friend, Gee, wish you the best. Do take care while you're in faraway land. I started to feel 'lonely' in the office without my usual colleague to chitchat and bergelak ketawa, luckily I still have those from old days of I$$U yang makin lama makin sikit.

But I do agree with you, we're just buttons away. Do keep in touch. Mana tau, panjang umur in 2 years time, kami sekeluarga singgah melawat... :)

We went up north during the Labor Day weekend for a family wedding in Bukit Gantang (hubby side). Earlier on, we asked our brother to book a hotel in Tepeng, anticipating the cramp-ness in rumah pengantin. We moved on Friday night after office together with my FIL & BIL. My MIL & SIL went day earlier. We made a stop at Rawang R&R for late dinner. We missed the akad nikah and reached the so called hotel / inn after midnight.

The moment we entered the gate, I sensed something was not quite right. Betul ke tempat ni ? My SIL was there, smiling and said that BIL buat lawak. Tak rasa apa lagi until we open the door…hahahaha…we were transported back to 80s…

Even my BIL who used to stay there before was quite amused with the room condition. Melangut aku tengok keliling.. ish ish sayangnya depa x maintain, the room is soo spacious, pastu dlm kepala mula la congak berapa agaknya nk kena invest klu nk tukar sumer2 tuh heheh. Hubby went to lepak@mamak with his bro & sis and bought some water + teh tarik for me. We had no choice but to stay there for the night, Seri Malaysia fully booked until Sunday, sib baik anak jantan ku x bangun mtk susu tgh malam, mana mau carik thermos. Next morning, another headache hit me. I’ve yet to iron my new tudung !! Luckily we brought our pressed baju from KL. So there I was in my nicely pressed baju kurung (TQ mr dobi) and tudung yg komot2 huhuhu. We checked-out before we left for the wedding.

Kat umah pengantin, umang aiii panas sungguh walaupun kami ada kat Tepeng yg terkenal sbg tempat paling lembab in country. Lencun baju aku, tau je la silk melekat2 kat badan. Kami blah dlm pkl 3 sbb MIL nk singgah umah her brother somewhere in Kamunting. Kami detour jap to try our luck in Seri Malaysia and yay yay we got a room. Apalaga…torus mandi2 tukar baju pastu baru menyusul ke rumah Pak Su. Mak & Abah ambik peluang jemput sedara mara untuk kenduri BIL bulan 8 nanti.

Came night, the kids bugged us for the most awaited visit that we promised them earlier.

NIGHT SAFARI !!!!!!!!!

You got to pay 2 tickets if you opt to ride the train. 1 for entrance and one for the train. Ada jugak org yg berani jalan, oh tidak..gulap gulita tempat itu…We made a mistake, we picked the seat right behind the driver and by end of the trip aku rasa mau hitam lobang hidung kitorang sedut asap kepala train tu Hahaha

That place can easily defeat Zo0 Negara la beb. Itu malam, belum lagi pegi siang. Tu la psl x dak gambor vinatang2 sbb aku x dak war-zone camera hehe Hannah melompat2 time nampak binatang yg samar2 and she was like speechless and amazed masa tgk gajah..(mmm that’s her 1st trip to zoo, no wonder)…tapi the one like African Safari tu memang best…We definitely will be back for Zoo Taiping plak to see the real thing. Lawak je masa Adan & Hanis confuse ‘kata nak pegi Night Safari, ni Zoo Tepeng’…hehe On our way out both kids asked for a visit to Zoo Ta1ping. Sure kids..ibu pun teringin nak tengok masa siang.

Next morning, received call from my SIL saying that we have to join rombongan mengantor pengantin because few others can’t make it. Dang !! Where got baju kurung lah, bwk 1psg jek, aku yg tembun ni mana nak muat baju kurung anak2 sedare aku Huhu So we rushed for breakfast only to find there’s no more food except for nasik goreng minyak and plain bubur with no kicap provided. Roti = no stock. Sabar je la but thinking that we’re in Seri Malaysia malas nak demand over sgt. Sib baik kopi dia kaw kapal api.

We made a round in pekan Tepeng to find butik that sell ready-made baju kurung. Tak psl2 aku dpt baju baru sepasang, ngan tudung lagi…balik bilik siap2, check out and blah. Lps kenduri, Hannah had a fever. Gave her some PMC and jelom kepala sikit before hitting the PLUS hi-way. Made a stop at Tapah to change and pray, bought some jambu & donuts. Sampai KL after Maghrib. Me and BIL start rasa tak sihat. Monday both on MC but BIL teruk gila. He’s fully recovered now but me still grappling with on-off fever and enlarged tonsil.

ADAN, Selamat Hari Lahir Ke-6

This entry should be posted right after the previous one, but I was too sick on Friday afternoon.

Time flies when you're enjoying it, my baby son is now 6. Though small in size but he packs an auto-charging energy. Cuba suruh dia duduk for 30s pon blom tentu dpt. Jenuh...but he's truly a guy. He hates window shopping sampai boleh tarik baju ibu dia yg ala2 kena spell ngan 10% 20% 30% signs hahaha. He's simple minded, he loves robots and action movies (LOTR, Pirates, Ghost Rider blabla). He can deliver one line joke. He leave his shirts and towel anywhere he wishes...what else ?

He always pestered me with his request, a baby boy, as if it's as simple as making gulai ikan merah/jenahak (his fav dish).

Since we're not going to have any party, he brought cake and goodies for his classmates. That night we also bought a small cake (ambik syarat..but it turned out with pink frosting) and have a dinner at MIL's place. At the time the pix were taken, ibunya mengerekot dlm bilik.

I bought him additional Lego set, and Babah had to cancel his intention to buy Thomas & Friends becoz he claimed that he's now a big boy, amboi...he opted for another Decepticon, 1 big Decepticon with lights and sound.

Being one born with a special condition, we can't be blamed for getting a lil bit sentimental with him and the fact that he's very lah the manja boy make it even more hard. To my boy, Ibu love you so much, we need to stuff your face so that your weight won't yo-yo so much. Sesape boleh bagi tips camana nak bagi berat dia naik, please...

Farewell My Dear Friend

This week I had two makan2 sessions, 1 in Ch1lli's MidValleh and yesterday in opis Cafeteria to accomodate our x-boss very d bz schedule. The 2nd is more close to my heart, these are the people known as x-Section 3. My 1st examination team when I join this office. The boss is now a deputy director in another dept while 3 of them are now managers. The bonding is strong and this is also like our circle of trust. We have been through rounds of restructuring, reshuffling and transfer but in the end these are the people that stick together and still care about each other.

However, the makan2 was not to celebrate any joyous occasion but to bid our farewell to one of us who's gonna leave the office for good. She'll join her hubby in Ipoh.

Goodbye K.Mai (2nd on the left), I'll cherish all of our memories, memang heaven. You're one good soul, sifat kakak and ibu sejati (jgn la sapa mai tmpt aku time aku tgh syahdu ni, sedih siot).

I received this from my daughter yesterday. Walaupun bunga plastik, the thought that matters Sob sob...songgoh terharu. Luv you sayang. She asked for extra money from hubby in the morning. Kira komplot la ni...

I still have the card that she made at her pre-school displayed on my workstation and now I can add the flower to my collection.

Another one from my son, given last year. Aku memang sentimental bab2 ni, sambung sob sob..

Hannah at 22months

Hehehe...the glasses is not mine, i bought it for our staff day performance. Will give it FOC for those interested.

She's one cheerful-over-pampered-cheeky-little-lady. And also..bossy.

I Feel The Pinch...Kerchingg !!

Just came back from some minor shopping, not impulse buying one, need to replenish the kid's pyjamas. Semua sudah senteng...few pairs for each of them and I'm poor by RM200++. Sigh..and those were not from a major brand. We always need an extra pairs because of them staying with babysitter. Klu duk umah rasanya cukup lagi. Bila la nak dpt maid ni huhuhu

During our last groceries trip, the prices we hiked up to the maximum. Formula for both Adan and Hannah were up by rm7 !! Dulu naik 2,3 hengget jek, now melompat2....Teat that previously cost me only rm5.50 for 3 was raised to rm8.90 late last year and last week it was priced at rm12 !! That's not Avent babe...it's only Pureen. Luckily Avent teats still selling at rm19.90 and Hannah don't need that much of teat since she's still sucking from me at night.

Our total bill came to almost rm400 without us buying the beras, milo and wet stuffs yet. Diapers and formula pun x beli 1 month stock lagi tu, klu tak easily 6rat. Milo now reaching rm30. Very the mahal lerrr...

Last weekend, my department berbondong2 ke PD for our Staff Day. Sadly no family members. Our resort can only cater for so much. Thinking that I'll be busy (ye ke) till past midnite, I've decided not to have them in the nearby resorts like few others. Lagipun sapa nak kawal trafik dlm keter from KL to PD. Impossible tu...

I stayed in one of the chalet with 3 rooms. We started the day off with treasure hunt KL-PD...30 questions, with 5 pics and 2 treasures in that short distance. It's quite stressful for me since not all of my teammate have any experience in doing motor-hunt, especially when it came to reading tulips and decyphering questions. Not to mention the need to explain the answers. But we enjoyed the whole trip. We even decided to skip few questions to avoid penalty only to discover that we are waaaaay ahead of others. Ni salah marshal la ni, siap sound kitorang kata 'kalau nampak kitorang maknanya u all dah kat belakang2'. So we made a deal and do some barter trade. Thanx to the other team.

Having to attend a session in the afternoon which requires listening and focus was too much for a sleep-deprived soul like me. Tersiksa jiwa aku. Once done, we got everybody to rehearse the scene for our performance. What a mess...

We had fun that night, 3 groups competing in karaoke and performance. Keras perut haku gelak malam tu. Ada jek yg buat lawak. Our turn, surprisingly, all went smooth (far exceeded my expectation) except few technical glitches with the audio. Hillarious. I went to bed satisfied that our hard work received 2 thumbs up from boss and judges. Balik bilik collapsed kt sofa depan TV only to wake up early morning with engorged mammaries and slight temperature. My luck that my chalet-mate left her pump, so i took a hot bath to ease the pain. So puan-puan sekelian, Avent manual pump can work without bottle ye...

Pagi2 buta kena la pulak jazzercise, which made me realised that I have 2 left feets. Seronok tgk instuctor effort-less moves. Right after that we re-filled all the fat that we lost with nasik lemak and marbeles kopi-o.

Right after, I had to take a rest, period pain. Lama dh x kena, maybe stress + penat kot. Rugi sbb I missed the closing and prize giving ceremony. Lagi rugi sbb my team won the top spot for treasure hunt and group performance. Balik KL, my colleague dropped me at MRR2, hubby picked me up, went for pizza and later zoomed to S.Alam to visit my dear friend who just went thru C-Sec due to bleeding caused by placenta praevia when the baby is only 30-weeks.

Pagi2 lagi aku telah mengonlinekan diri aku..Kahkakah...walaupun aku the menge'fail'kan tax declaration aku on 11th hour, tapi aku still masuk kategori good citizen apa...

suka suka...sbbnya masa eFiling was introduced, we managed to file, masa tu simply filling up an online form but we were impressed oredi. So last year dah more sophisticated. Penat la Q sakan masa nak amik slip Digicert tuh, skali notebook aku ada bugs x leh nak deal ngan active-x. Aiyaa... sudahnya aku submit borang jek(biasa la dah nyaris nak due hehe).

This year, aku try lagi...mintak password baru and voila...I'm done within 15minutes, all the keying-in as well as saving and printing all the slips and forms for both me and hubby. Best kan ??

Now I'm passing the buck to hubby for payment part hehe sikit jek sbb peeceebee and zakat dah cover....la l a l a l a l a l a l a

Congrats my dear...

Hubby went off to Redang again last weekend to finish off his diving lessons. He went with his sister who is a PADI certified diver with a few years of experience, she went to Sipadan last year.

Aku x kuasa nak ikut sebab packing and unpacking for 3 kids can stress me out for at least 1 week before and 2 weeks after the trip. Tgk la gambar my hubby with that 2 knapsacks from previous entry, it's almost miracle that I managed to squeeze everything in there, 5 of us for 3D2N stay. Diapers, formulas, bottles and thermos included. So the very backpackers...travel light. Itupun masa balik ada gakla baju2 yg blom pakai esp Hannah, dia punyer baju spare melambak.

He boarded the bus on Friday night and came back Monday. Since aku merempit ngan dia pegi keje so ambik cuti jgkla on Monday, aci ?? Melompat kanak2 ribena tau aku dok umah hari diorang sekolah. Mula la demand breakfast and lunch bagai. Tapi...aku celik dah 7.05am !! 7.10 atok dia dh tercongok depan umah huwaaaa.....lintang pukang siapkan Hanis for sekolah agama. Fuh..7.20 dah sumbat dia masuk keter. Class starts at 7.30 hehe, ada reason tau...ibu tido 4am++ buat keje and jaga Hannah yg mengigau ingat kat babah dia (excuses, excuses)

So now my dear hubby is officially a NAUI certified diver. CONGRATS my dear...
