I know, I know I am REALLY bad at the whole blogging thing.

Well here is a Maggie update...

-She has her front 4 teeth on top and bottom and I discovered two molars breaking through just yesterday. That explains the constant waking in the night and 15-20 min naps during the day!

- Her vocabulary consists of... mom 'mum' 'ma ma', dad 'da da', 'ball' (favorite word! she will point out every ball in site), she tries really hard to say balloon but it comes out 'ball' (she will also point out every balloon in site), doggie 'oggie', every once in a while you'll catch her saying... grandma 'na -ma', thank you 'daydu' twice that I have heard. I know there are other words but I'm drawing a blank right now. Then of course there is all her kind of talking (screaming blabbering) So darn cute!

- Lets talk about the climbing... She will climb on, in and out of EVERYTHING! She climbs into the bottom of her stroller (often gets stuck), wicker baskets, laundry baskets, boxes, ice chests, drawers, cupboards, itc... anything she thinks she may fit (yes I've had to save her many times) She tries to climb up on the couch but it's still to tall for her (thank goodness).

STORIES...
*She has climbed on a ride-on car I have for her, climbed as in standing on the seat holding on to whatever she can. AHHH! I am just waiting for the day she falls and I don't know what. :\
*She pulled out almost everything out of her bottom dresser drawer and climbed right in. (yes I took pictures, I'll post them later) I asked her what she was doing and she just looked at me and started to talk like it's ok mom. I couldn't help but just smile and laugh and made her give me a hug and kiss and then had her help me put everything back in the drawer.
*We have a shelving system with bins for her toys, she is always pulling the bins off the shelf, dumping the toys out and sits in the bins. I guess if it intertains her for a bit the mess is worth it.
*We were getting ready to go to the cabin for the fourth of July and I had ice chests in the kitchen/dining room area and of course she had to climb right in.
*But the best was when she climbed in the large stock pot my mother-in-law had at the cabin. She climbed right in, so we stuck her on the stove (stove top not on of course) and took pictures. We were going to have Magpie stew for dinner. So adorable!

My mother cursed me with a child just like me. Mom your curse apparently is working. When I was little apparently I also climbed on everything. They found me on top of the refridgerator and to this day they do not know how I got up there. Thanks mom! :)

- She is still growing like a weed! She hasn't gained much more weight, still about 24 lbs but she is getting so tall. She has her next Dr appt in Aug I will give you the stats on how big she is then.

- She LOVES to read books, well her kind of reading that is :) I will find her sitting on the floor with several books around her and she's flipping the pages. She will go from book to book just reading. If she catches me sitting on the floor, she will go find a book and come sit on my lap and have me read to her. Cutest thing ever! She also will come find me, book in hand and have me read her a story (she really doesn't like me to read the story so we flip pages and I make up a short story, short attention span). Anyone know of some cute kids books? Let me know :) She loves touch and lift the flap books.

- Maggie LOVES to be outside! She will walk to the back door and just cry or whine to go out, it's heartbreaking. If she hears you open (the back or front door) she will run to try to get out before the door closes. Then gets mad beacuse she didn't make it. So sad :( We've been camping a few times this summer and she loved every second of it. Between sitting on the 4 wheeler and swinging in her swing (lance hung between two trees) she could not get enough of the outdoors!

Lance and I are enjoying every second of our sweet little magpie! She is a hand full but we are loving every minute!
Next update hopefully sooner than last time :)

Maggie as Rudolph!

How time does fly! Maggie is growing SO fast. At her 6 month check-up she weighed 20 lbs and 27 inches long, which put her in the 98%. She is always smiling and talking (her kinda talking that is, we often wonder what she really is saying) Since I have not made a post for a while I have added pic's for the last couple of months.
Here is a little update on Maggie...
- she's been sitting up on her own for awhile, she now gets on all fours from sitting position and rocks back and forth. She is going to crawl any day! We are in SO much trouble, she is quite the curious little one.
- she has just started pulling herself up on furniture and tries to stand by herself (I still sit next to her, she makes me nervous :) Santa brought her the fisher price learning/talking kitchen which she absolutely LOVES! She pulls herself right up and has to play with everything.
- she has her two bottom teeth. SO CUTE! Holy cow they are razor sharp. Sorry Maggie no more gumming on mommy's chin.
- The Whittaker cabin has log beams in the front room that we hang a swing from and we figured out she loves to swing. Funny cause she really didn't like the swing as a baby.
- While we were at the cabin Maggie made a snow angel. Her snow outfit is a bunny rabbit and on the back it has a tail. When we picked her up out oof the snow their was a perfect mark of her tail in the snow. It was the cutest snow angel ever!
- Ofcourse for Halloween she was a ladybug, I made her antenna's with the bow. I looked everywhere and could not find a ladybug costume that I liked, so I settled for a flower costume instead. But thanks to grandma whittaker she found one in wisconsin when she was visiting Echo. Yeah!! Both costumes were so cute I had to use them both on Halloween.
Lance and I are doing good. Well I think he's good we never see each other, now that I'm working nights we always just pass each other between work schedules. It really Sucks! Starting in January I am going to work tuesday, wednesday night shift and every other weekend day shift. We are hopeing to see each other more that way. Also, I am hopeing not to be Zombie mom quite as much either. Well I guess that's all for now.

O.k., so it's been a while. Like 4 months, "a while"! So here's an update on the last four months of our lives. The Wilsteads visited in June, and Maggie got to meet Grandma & Grandpa Wilstead, Kira and Ryder, and Aaron for the first time. She has visited the cabin several times, been to Colorado on vacation, and is in Arizona right now visiting the rest of the fam. We met her cousin Audrey in the first of June, and on the 3rd of July, MaKenna joined the family. It's been an exiting few months, and Maggie is growing like a weed. She is in the 98th percentile on height, weight, and head circumference. She holds her own bottle, sits up (kind-of, still shaky), rolls over (learned this at Grandma Jones, and won't stay on her back any more), stands up when you hold her hands, and talks as fast as a democrat up for election. There's something new every day, and we can't help feel like it's passing us by. Heidi went back to work in the middle of August, and that has been a challenge. She will going to nights went we get home from Arizona, and that will probably be a bigger challenge (daddy gets to take the night shift, and mommy may become the walking dead!). On the plus side, no more baby sitting scheduling! Yay! Don't get us wrong, everyone that helped out was awesome! Thanks a TON: Kim, Mom, Aunt Marnie, Kirstin, and anybody else we're missing! Maggie loves you all! So now it's just mom and dad. If we could find a health insurance alternative, mom would probably quit and stay home. So anyway, that's a QUICK update. We will try to be a little more consistent with future updates.

Love the Cheeks! (I really love this pic)
Maggie smiles a lot but we just haven't caught it on camera, until now! SO DANG CUTE!
I put this crib mirror on her changing table & she found a new friend. She loves staring at herself.
So, I decided to take a few pic's and buy cute frame to give to Lance for father's day. (he had mentioned he didn't have any pictures at his work) Maggie was very cooperative and I got some REALLY cute pic's!
I love this pic! Talk about attitude!

took this picture last night
my in-laws cat. No, Maggie is not Huge Tosha (the cat) is! She weighs 17 lbs. We thought it would be funny to compare them side-by-side. (side note: they have a second cat Boris, he weighs 20 lbs)
Maggie sure loves her daddy!
Mommy loves her too!

I know, I am really bad at this blog thing. Well here are a few pic's for now. Maggie is growing so fast! She is finally growing into her cheeks and feet. It's a happy sad seeing her grow. I'll try to keep the pic's coming! and one day I'll actually write a something interesting.
