Two years ago and now....

Emma started taking piano lessons two years ago. This video was one of her first lessons. She has improved so much in just two years. I am so proud of her! She's grown so much also in just two years. She looks like a baby in this video!

Now she's playing more complicated songs and doing so well with note reading. She's using  Alfred Basic Piano Course and currently on Lesson C.

Keeping Kids Busy: Baking Chocolate Chip Cookies

To be honest I don't always let my kids help out in the kitchen. Doing things on my own is so much more productive and less messier. But when it comes to baking chocolate chip cookies, my kids always help.  It doesn't take long to make, it only has few ingredients and you can never messed it  up. We bake chocolate chip cookies at least once a week. Homemade cookies are not only easy to make but taste so much better than store bought cookies. The best part, you can use organic or nonGMO ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Direction

1. Preheat to 350 degrees F

2.
  • Mix butter, white sugar, brown sugar until smooth
  • Add egg, vanilla extract and baking soda
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the batter (flour, salt)
  • Stir chocolatechip to the batter.
3. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans

4. Bake for about 12 minutes or until side is brown.

Keeping Kids Busy: Painting

My kids love to draw and paint. Once in a while I let them paint on canvas so I can hang their painting up. Painting can get very messy but it's a lot of fun and my kids enjoy it so we do it often. We usually use the smaller canvases but this time I let Olivia and Emma paint on a bigger one.

What do you do to keep your kids busy? You can share and linkup your post below. I would love to check them out.

I guess it will be Luv My 3 Girls......

Libby's Drawing: Self Portrait

I'm so excited because my new Epson Stylus NX420 to review just came today. Now I don't have to take pictures of Libby's artworks to save in my computer. I can just scan them now. The quality is so much better! So far I love this new printer. And I know I am going to be using it a lot. I have not printed anything yet so I don't know how good is the quality. My review should be up in a couple of weeks.....

Mommy & Me Monday: Nap Time

I have been wanting to join Mommy & Me Monday for a while now. I think it's a great way to encourage me to take pictures with my kids. I love to take pictures but I usually don't like being in it. And if we do go out as a family I'm always the photographer. I know I will regret that one day.

Happy Valentines Day!

Here's a little Valentine Craft that Libby and I made a couple of days ago. She saw this on TV and she really wanted to make it. It was a lot fun but it was harder than I thought...They sure made it it look easy on TV!
