Moving on
I am having mixed emotions about it. Of course I am excited to have 1 kid gone longer than 2 hours, but at the same time I'm not. His teacher will see him more than I will. Will he make good choices? I can no longer protect him all day long. We love this kid! We are so proud of him and are very excited for him to grow and learn new things.
He loved his teacher Mrs. Henn. She was gone for a week and he had a rough time without her, This kid doesn't like change. He has already written her a letter and wants to send it through the mail.
Nicholas and Brayden. Best buds! Very excited that they get to be in the same class next year.
Me and my boy. Luke was at a YM campout.
They also had the cutest program. Nicholas might seem shy but when it comes to performing and singing songs with his class he loves it!. He did a great job and I am still trying not to think about him going to First grade in 6 weeks.

Oh Dear!
Parker is our kid can that always make us laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time.
Luke has been gone at a Young Men campout for 4 days and today my wonderful friend Laura offered to take the 3 older kids so I can make my house look somewhat decent for Luke when he comes home.
Parker is pretty much potty trained so I don't worry much when he is at other houses. If anyone is on facebook you know that Parker is a little obsessed with eating paper, crayons, and other weird things. After an hour of being at Laura's house she calls me and tells me that Parker went poop in the toilet. I'm thinking, "that's great!". Then she continues to say that she wiped him and there was something hanging that wouldn't wipe. So she pulled and pulled and pulled something very long out of...well you know where. She didn't know what it was. Well I knew exactly what it was...DENTAL FLOSS!! No need to go back to re-read to make sure you read it right. I said dental floss!!! Seriously what a weirdo and poor Laura. Now that's a true friend! He got a hold of dental floss yesterday and I never found it, well now I know where it went. This kid, what will I do with him? Laura and I were both laughing(me more than her) and she said I should record this because it was just too funny. Alright so I know your mental picture isn't so good right now. Let me leave you with something better.

Pure Madness

I thought this picture above describes perfectly how it is traveling with kids. It's not fun and I honestly don't enjoy it.
We went up to Alpine to see all of Luke's family for the 4th of July. Normally this drive takes us about 6-7 hours just depending on how many bathroom breaks we have to take. ON the way up there it took us 10 hours!! No you didn't read that wrong. 10 freaking hours. They were doing some pavement work right after St. George. we were stuck for almost 2 hours and the kids were going crazy. Noah was crying non stop because it was hot and we weren't moving. I totally pulled a Britney Spears and put him on my lap in the front. (i don't want to receive any hated emails from the car seat Nazis out there). Anyways we finally made it there, and we all had fun. I definitely realized a few things after this trip. The #1 thing was that traveling with 4 kids 5 and under is crazy and I will not be doing anytime soon.
Other things I realized were:
-I can do 6.2 miles. I ran a 10K with 2 of my sisters in law, and brother in law. I have been waking up at 4:45 a, to train for this and I did it! According to my Garmin I did it in 1:04, but the chips says 1:07. Supposedly the chip is more accurate hmmmmm..... I don't know about that.

We're Ghetto
I like to think of us a classy family. Not too white trash or ghetto. Our ward had a Pinewood Derby for everyone. The boys were so excited to make their car. We kept putting it off, and totally forgot about it. Saturday comes and Luke realizes we forgot to make it. He tells the boys he will do it after basketball that morning. It was so not happening since Luke came home early from basketball with a hurt ankle. I thought it was broken but he said it was sprained. He couldn't do anything on it. The kids still wanted to go to the ward party so he said he would try to make a car. I could have stepped up and taken charge but I know nothing about those cars.
So basically Luke tried his hardest to do it in 3 hours with a sprained ankle. It was a great effort but it's still GHETTO! When we got there, there were some amazing cars. I'm not going to lie I was a little embarrassed by ours, but the kids had fun and that's all that matters, right? Whatever I was still embarrassed. Nick and Parker hung out by the track the entire time watching all the cars race. They loved it.
