Kindergarten
I'm not sure how, but my baby boy went from this:
to this:
overnight! Yep, my sweet Maxwell Titan Lee has entered the ranks of Kindergarten. He has been SO excited to go. For the past couple of weeks he'd ask, "Is it Wednesday yet?" The Wednesday for school to start, that is. I'm so glad the day is finally here. Max is a ball of energy and he really likes learning and being around a bunch of people. I'm sure he'll do great in school.
Max picked this outfit out all by himself. These pants are his favorite because they came with a skeleton key chain. Boys.
A Ute red backpack, of course. Max and Cam holding hands. After all, this is the safe way to go to school. So cute!
We finally made it to the door of his class and I said,"Max, are you excited to go to Kindergarten?" He nodded with a resounding yes while making fart noises. Nice. And yes, he left his top 2 buttons undone on his shirt because 'it's how dad does it'.
There were so many hooks to chose from to hang his backpack but he chose one on the end so he could find his backpack when he was ready to leave. So smart!
Pick a seat. Any seat. Just pick one! Max recognized so many faces from the neighborhood. I'm so glad he's already got a bunch of friends in his class.
He chose this seat right in the front of the class just as the bell was ringing. He looked at me and whisper/shouted,"Mom, this school has a bell!" This seemed to really make his day. He was in a real school with a real bell.
Yep, this seat looks good. I tried to wave goodbye to Max but he'd already moved on to the next stage of life and I had turned into the weird mom that tries to get their kid to all-but blow them a kiss goodbye. He was having none of that!
My little Max-a-roo is growing up. No tears have been shed. Yet.

Jane Who?
Sorry for my absence... Sawyer is almost one and there WILL be posts about that. I won't bother to try and catch up with birthdays, growth charts, milestones, etc. We'll just start fresh. Max is starting kindergarten soon so that will be exciting.
Ooookay. Stay posted. I'll be back.
