Summer Storytime

We have an absolutely wonderful storytime lady.  She happens to go to our church and my kids adore her kids.  This storytime was a birthday party and after the books were read we decorated cupcakes.

 Holland is by his "buddy" Silas and these two are best buddies.  Holland talks about him all the time.  He even yells "Silas!!" while Silas passes the sacrament on Sunday.  Such good kids.

Merilee and her friends Millie (in red) and Heidi (in blue).  We have been going to the summer reading program's activities as well.  They have had storytellers, animals, magic shows, and learning about how to eat healthy and stay active.

Splash Park

So we went to the splash park in Mojave for a little bit.

 Here's the pictures to prove it.  Nothing exciting but Holland wanted to do everything Daddy did.

Ezra and I were there too and only got wet when the wind blew the water on us.  Ezra liked laying on a blanket in the grass.

Munchkins

 I think Ezra looks a lot like the middle munchkin from The Wizard of Oz in this picture.  His Mohawk is a little hard to see but it is there and very cute!

Fourth of July

 For the 4th of July we went to the church for breakfast and water activities.  The kids had fun in the dunk tank and racing on other bouncy toys.  Ezra and I stayed in the shade and tried to stay cool.

 Holland got pretty filthy in his patriotic shirt.  The kids were in their swim suits most of the day so they didn't get to wear red, white, and blue.  But Ezra had 3 cute outfits for the occasion and wore them all! 

 Here are the felt flip flops I made him.  He wore them for the evening portion of the day.

I got this onsie in December on clearance, so he is documenting his First Fourth of July.  He didn't mind the fireworks.  We went to a friends' house for a potluck and they did their own fireworks. We could see the city display from their house.  We didn't miss much.  It was just a fun day being outside with a lot of friends.

P.S. Merilee was never around to get a good picture and I wasn't going to chase her down.  She had a lot of fun with her friends.
