"OPEN RANGE, LOOSE STOCK"

We drove from Coeur D'Alene to Missoula for lunch, to Chico Hot Springs by dark. We woke up and drove to Yellowstone, stopping for lunch at Old Faithful, experiencing the most phenomenal sunset ever in Big Horn National Park and retiring in the ridiculously charming Sheridan, WY. Lavender, salmon and rust colored rocks with ochre sand, sage green brush, chartreuse and marigold trees. The sky is electric. I thought I had never seen anything more beautiful than the mountains of Butte, Montana until we hit Cody, Wyoming and the world exploded. Big sky, big rocks. Antelope, bison, deer, goats, birds, cattle farms, ponies and a couple of bear. Piles and piles of antlers, ads for a testicle festival and three times through the continental divide.

THE NEW BONNIE PRINCE BILLY - GIVEN BY HILARY HORVATH
So I am officially moved away, although I left a trail of belongings and longings in my wake. A farewell HA + VL with John and G following a cuddly evening with Crystal and Erin. Jack drove the whole way from Portland to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho where we are resting our sleepy heads at the Roosevelt Hotel, and where we had a picnic of Chinese takeout with '07 Coho Headwaters on the floor of our room.

TBA

I am having a crazy September and am literally unable to make any TBA events (which I have justified with the consolation prize of an impending New York). Luckily, thankfully, I can catch my friends Woolly Mammoth Comes To Dinner and their insane line-up of comrades, including off-shoot projects of Oregon Painting Society and an all-star version of Miracles Club, tomorrow, the Works at Washington High School, 10:30.
