Thirty years ago today my parents tied the knot. Sadly my mother was a size two so I won't be able to stage a revival to commemorate the event, however: My friends Lizzy and Nick tied it on themselves this weekend in Austin, Texas, and like Lizzy, my mother wore gardenias in her hair. To wedded bliss, unions, love and everlasting style!

I think it's telling about how great my mom is that the first drawing sold in Jess' new show at Nationale has her in it.
