Happy Birtday to me! I'm 26!

Well, I am now officially 26 years old. I am so lucky to share my birthday with my older sister Wendy. I love sharing a birthday with her, it's fun! Let's just say I haven't always loved it, like the year she got a hot pink camera for her birthday and I got new underwear and a slip! But . . . she has been so kind and has never seemed to mind the fact that I crashed her 2nd birthday and have been doing it ever since. Honestly I love birthdays. I think it is so fun to celebrate the day that we were born. Being a mom has definitely changed my outlook on birthdays, being born is perhaps the most special time and it's important to remember it and celebrate it!

For my birthday Keith surprised me with my very own luggage and a trip with him to San Diego this week! We are leaving on Wednesday and staying until Sunday. I am feeling very spoiled. Here is a picture of my sparkling new suitcases and my cute boys who will stay with my sister in law this week while their mom and dad go and party at Sea World.

My cute friends in the neighborhood came and stole me from my house last night to eat cake and talk and talk and talk. We had lots of fun sitting around and enjoying some women interaction. Thanks gals! Ya'll are the best! Melanie, be sure to thank your mom for making that delicious pumpkin cake.

This is my second cake. My cute sister in law Elana was so kind to make the best chocolate pie ever and bring it over. It was incredible. I didn't eat anything but cake or pie yesterday. Nice.
Here I am blowing out my candles and making my birthday wish.

It is no secret that Grandpa is Benson's favorite person. Here they are snuggling and watching Elmo. Aren't they so cute? My parents left for Boise while we were at church yesterday. When we came home Benson searched all over the house for his "BAMMPA". He was pretty disappointed to learn that he had left.

This is my first cake . . . black tie mousse cake from the Olive Garden. My parents came and played all weekend. We went to Park City for most of Saturday. We had so much fun. I honestly ate out for every meal on Friday and Saturday. It was pretty depressing that I had to buy two sets of candles (yes I bought my own birthday candles) in order to have enough.

Happy Birthday to me! Thanks everyone for making yesterday such a special day. I am currently working on my list of 26 things I hope to accomplish this next year. The first on my list . . . go to San Diego for the first time!

Halloween Pictures

Here is the inmate and the cow. Keith was the only one who dressed up at work. Pretty funny.

We played in the leaves before we went trick or treating. Griffey was a monkey. You'll have to excuse the cow bum in the picture, Benson's costume was a littly puffy.

Benson loves to throw leaves, it's his favorite game. He was a stuffed cow for Halloween and he loved every minute of trick or treating.

Here's our two animals!

The best family picture we could get . . . I was Scary Spice for Halloween. Don't I look scary?

I've got the power!

Our basement has been a long time coming, but the end is in sight. Keith has been working on the final electrical work himself this week. He is a warrior. I was convinced he was going to electrocute ( I think that may be the first time I have ever typed that word) himself and burn our almost finished house to the ground. I can hardly wait to have it done and move our living room full of toys to a playroom in the basement full of toys. The only problem with finishing the basement is that our next project is updating the entire upstairs. I talk like I am actually going to help, but let's face it; Keith pretty much does it all. We were so excited to have some lighting that worked, I bet I played with the dimmers for 15 minutes. I would even turn on just one row and dance around like it was a stage. I am so funny, or at least I thought so. Keith just thought I was weird. We are getting ready for carpet! To be continued . . .

We're new!

Hello! It's official! I was feeling some major pressure to start a blog for our family, I have been so inspired by other blogs that I have decided it is time for us to join in the fun.

Here is a preview of the Halloween pictures that are to come:
