Pig Tails

Kate's hair is long enough to put pigtails and ribbons in. She loves her saucer and is such a joy to have around the house. She brings so much happiness! I cannot imagine my life without her!!!!! I love you!

Happy 5 Month Birthday!!

You are a big 5 months old today! So big and smart. You have tried all kinds of new things this month. You got a new chair to sit in. It has a tray and we can put things on the tray for you to play with. It helps you sit up. You got a saucer form Aunt Jen. It is really cool and you love all the things to entertain yourself.

You tried out new foods outside of cereal. You tried Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Turkey, Peaches, Applesauce and Red Raspberry Jello. You like the jello best but really veggies too. You are not fond of the peaches.

Today, you rolled over for the first time. You were in your crib and rolled from your front to your back. Yippee!!

All in all, a fun and eventful growing month for you!!!!! I Love You!

Kate the Bunny

Chelsea came over and brought Kate some new Bunny Ears to get her in the mood for Easter!! So cute on her.

Kate's New Bouncer

The walkers are not such the fad right now but these saucers are the hot item. I call it a bouncer because the moment I put Kate in, she tried to bounce. I put a towel in fron to keep her from falling foward. All the things around in makes sound and wiggle, jiggle, or move. The baby can spin around too. Aunt Jen gave it to Kate and I am so grateful!!

Ballroom Competition

Today Grammy, Kate and I went to see Shalena dance at her Ballroom competition at BYU. She did a great job and Kate was an angel! She looked like a princess in her dress that Grammy made her!

Aunt Ali tortured my sweet Kate. However... Kate did not seem to mind. The older Kate gets, the more Ali likes her. She is getting used to holding her and feeds her great! Here though... she is tormenting the poor little defenseless baby!

First Real Walk

Today, while Mom was working, Aunt Susan came over and took you for your first real walk outside. It was a beautiful day and you loved being outside. You looked around at everything! You are growing so fast!

My Future Baker

Aunt Kathy came over to visit today!

You also helped Mama bake. You held the beaters and chewed on them while mom was working on some pound cake.
You loved the beaters because they made click-clacking noises. So much fun!

Your shirt says, "I was worth the wait!" You got this from Mama's friend, Bonnie. You definitely were worth the wait. I adore you!!!

New Pierced Ears

You got your ears pierced today. You are on Tylenol from your shots yesterday so I thought that today was as good as any. I took you to Mealnie's house and she did them lickety split. You were such a good girl too! We gave you a little sweet ease and you did not even know it happened. I hope you like them when you are a bigger girl. Ali did not get them done until she was almost an adult. Don't they look so cute?

Your ears were a little pink in the early evening but that went away fast.

4 Month Dr Appointment

Today, we went to see the NICU Occupational Therapist, Annie Miller. She tested you and you are advanced (of course you are) and are at the 5-6 month level. Annie could not believe you were sitting so well.

After seeing Annie, We went to your doctor appointment. You weigh 17 pounds 2 ounces. You are 26 inches tall. You got 4 shots and an oral vaccine. You were so tired that you just cried. I was so sad.

Kate's Skinny Jeans!

Kate in her first skinny jeans outfit. She got these at her shower. Isn't this darling? Not sure if she will fit again. She is such a chunk with cute roly thighs. I have such a pretty baby! I love this bed she's in. Grammy bought it before she was born. It makes sounds, vibrates, lights up and plays music. It also has cute things to reach for under the canopy.

This is one of my favorite outfits. It is so soft and girly. I love to see baby girls look like baby girls. You found your hands well here. You are so smart!

My friend, Bonnie, gave this outfit to Kate. So true. My Kate was worth all the heartache and pain and the years of waiting!
