Thanksgiving in the Mountains

Ward and Heather (Len's brother and his wife) invited us to spend Thanksgiving with them at Lake Lure in North Carolina. It was beautiful there with the mountains surrounding the lake. The boys had a great time together. They haven't seen each other in almost a year and had so much fun. Will started thinking he was a little bit older than he is. It was so cute to watch them run around and play together. Will thought Gage was so funny and laughed at everything he did. We couldn't believe how much Davis had grown. He is very mischievious! He will be two in February and Gage just turned 4. We spent the days relaxing and eating, two of my favorite things! We had beautiful weather. It was sunny and in the mid 60's everyday. We went hiking and Will loved it. He just loves being outside and loved throwing rocks in the lake. Thanks for inviting us to come with y'all Ward and Heather. We can't wait to see you for New Years! Here are a few pictures of our weekend. Heather bought the boys matching pj's. They looked so cute in them.

Castles and Crowns

I'm the new rep for a clothing line called Castles and Crowns. If anyone reading my blog would like to host a party, it is a great way to get adorable smocked and appliqued clothes at half the cost! The website is www.castlesandcrowns.com and I'm available to host parties for the whole month of January. If you don't live in Nashville, but would be interested in hosting a party without the trunk of clothes, I could arrange that too. You can go to the website and click on host a party and you can email me if you would be interested. I have been the hostess for two seasons now and I can say without a doubt that these clothes are adorable! They are affordable too! They are less than boutique brands and other trunk show lines. Just email me if you are interested. I hope to make a great start in my first season as a rep.

Happy Birthday to our nephew Gage!

Gage,
Happy Birthday! We love you very much and can't believe you are already 4! Four years ago today we waited by the phone anxiously for your arrival. You have been such a joy in our lives. You are a very special boy and we can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks! We hope you have the best time at your pirate party.

This is an older picture, but I just wanted everyone to see how cute my nephew is.

Happy 1st Birthday Ann Welch!

Happy Birthday to my sweet niece Ann Welch! I can't believe she's already a year old! She had a great birthday party along with Ford who turned 7 in October and her cousin Mary Reagan. It was at the Hilyer's farm and they had hayrides, sack races, pony rides and all kinds of fun things to do.
We had a very busy weekend. Len's mom came to Nashville Thursday night and kept Will on Friday. He had a great time with her and judging by the marshmallows stuck in his hair, he was a little spoiled that day! We left in a hurry to go to Montgomery on Friday. We were planning on heading to Auburn to watch the Faulkner/Auburn game (my dad helps coach for Faulkner's basketball team) and we were making great time until we hit the dreaded Birmingham downtown rush hour traffic. What a nightmare! We made it five miles in two hours. It would be a pain without a toddler, but it got downright nasty. We ended up having to take Will out of his seat on the interstate, which really didn't matter since we couldn't go over 5 miles an hour. What was supposed to be a 4 hour trip ended up being 6 hours and we were so disappointed to miss dad's game. I was so mad at the city of Birmingham. I mean, why would they shut down 2 lanes during Friday rush hour? We finally got to Montgomery and needless to say, I had two boys in a very bad mood!
On Saturday, we went to the birthday party and Will got to ride a horse for the first time! Thanks to Uncle David who took all the kids on horseback rides. He liked it until he saw me and Len and then he wanted down. On Saturday night, we went to the wedding of one of my best friends from Trinity. Emily looked beautiful and it was so much fun getting to see old friends and catch up on their lives. It was also fun for Len and I to get dressed up and actually get to go out ALONE!! We don't get the opportunity to often. Thanks to mom and dad for babysitting. They had a hard time getting Will to sleep but with the help of Bob the Builder and getting to snuggle with Papa in his bed, Will finally gave up the fight!
